I've always wondered why you wouldn't build a little platform with a slight angle so the water and dirt would run off down the loape rather than it stay puddled on the carpet in one spot.
I bought a car quite sometime ago that the carpet in the car itself was embedded with dirt and grime that a wet vac didnt seem to help so I removed the seats took the whole carpet out and used the same method and it came up like new had to leave it for a while to dry but I wasnt in a rush as it was a project car anyway
Have you tried this on something slanted, so that instead of sitting in a pool of dirty water, it's running off and you won't have to go back over it so many times? Just an idea, then you could also have it raised up so you're not having to bend over it the way you have to now. Love these videos!!

I do this too but if u hang it on the wall it'll drain faster while rinsing
Squeegee would also do the trick on getting any water left.
