Goku was absolutely terrified of Buuhan, to a point where he considered fusing with Hercule of all people. He didn't think fusing was necessary against Kid Buu, and had only stated that he underestimated him due to how ruthless and unpredictable he was. If Buuhan was weaker than Kid Buu, Goku would've been confident that he'd be able to take him on in a solo-fight, not begging Vegeta to fuse with him so they could win. Simple logic and power-scaling spells it out on which Buu is the strongest.

I still think Buutenks is as equal as Kid Buu. Goku can take on Buu when Gotenks' fusion got split, making Buu a little weaker, but still stronger than Adult Buu.

right, kid buu lacks any sort of ego or human emotions. he's just like a wild animal and doesn't care about fighting strong opponents or testing his limits, just destruction and candy and he's willing to go to any lengths to get what he wants even blowing the planet up or himself. he's kinda playful like fat buu but doesn't understand language at all so he's completely unsocialized.

I watched the anime before the manga of the Buu Arc, and never once thought Kid Buu was the strongest. To this day, I can't decide between Kid Buu and Super Buu, and that says all we need to know.
Same here when I first watched dbz buu arc i already knew kid buu was weaker then buuhan because ssj3 goku was actually giving kid buu a run for his money and went toe to toe with him ,but with buuhan ssj3 goku couldn’t really do anything to him
Super Buu > Kid Buu simply for the fact that Goku himself said that Super Buu would kill both him and Vegeta if they weren't fused, whereas Goku was willing to fight Kid Buu alone.
Think of it like this.
Buuhan isn’t actually Buu, he’s basically a fusion with Gohan using stolen power.
Therefore Kid Buu is the strongest actual version of ‘Buu’.

I've just made a comment a minute ago, and I'm more than happy to see that I have a same exact point that came from another perspective. a creature with control with their freakish power is definitely easier to handle than a mindless madman. that's what Goku and Vegeta know at that point probably.

I like to believe there was a bit nuance intended behind Kid Buu’s threat level and what makes him so dangerous. More than him simply being ‘evil’. Unlike every other evil character with ambition to rule or humiliate before killing (in some of those cases preferring a fairer challenge to test their own strength in a selfish way) Kid Buu notably opts to just destroy the planet on a whim. No sense of value in a planet unlike Freiza and his empire, no care for any survivors or playthings unlike Cell or the Androids, he’d rather blow up the planet, get caught up in the explosion, rinse and repeat.
In a sense the situation was so dire that Goku and Vegeta are lucky that they even ‘convinced’ Buu to fight them and again that was just a whim - something that could have easily changed any given moment. Because he’s so destructive and evil, he’s unpredictable and chaotic in a way that no other villain has been. Most powerful he need not be, most dangerous and a larger threat to the universe moreso. Where other forms might savour or enjoy their destruction of the universe Kid Buu would have no qualms about destroying everything in view as it pleases without a thought.
Personally I don't even think Kid Buu can be called "evil." I think that's a label the Kai's put on destruction since it opposes their role in the cosmos. Buu is unpredictable because he's irrational. Being evil implies intent and malice, but Buu isn't capable of that. I think he's just aggression incarnate.

I consider kid Buu to be a pure version of Buu.
Buuhan isn’t, he’s basically the same as a fusion.
Therefore it’s not ‘Buu’s’ strongest form, since he’s not Buu anymore.
I still maintain that Buuhan is the strongest, but I can somewhat see the confusion between who's the strongest. Up to the moment Kid Buu arrives DB had put huge emphasis that the next Antagonist is ALWAYS stronger than the previous and that strength makes all the difference. Then Kid Buu appears and he's weaker, yet a bigger threat because he's "crazier." Doesn't seem to necessarily fit the mold that fans were used to by that point.
Wrong he was a bigger threat because Goku and Vegeta refused to fuse. If the story wanted kid Buu to be stronger wouldn't he just take on Vegito?
Seems weird that Goku and Vegeta fight kid Buu and are like "yeah he's stronger than we thought, but nah we don't need the potara". With Buuhan they were like "fuse or die"

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I'll never understand how people can think that Kid Buu, a character without anyone inside him giving him more abilities and intelligence, without Gohan who was at the time the strongest fighter around, would be stronger than a version of Buu who DID have all those things. It just doesn't make sense.

@@RyukyuStyle the Fat Buu that Kid Buu beats up is much weaker than he was originally. At this point, Buu split in two, so his power is also split, and Kid Buu got most of it (since Kid Buu is basically the descendant of the Gray Boo that originally separated from the fat one). The original Fat Buu should have had at least as much raw power as Kid Buu, though he probably was slightly weaker due to his playful personality and clumsy body. However Buuhan is way above ALL of them. He has all of the power of both Buus within him, the kais don't have such a strong influence on him, plus he has the intellect of Piccolo and the power of Unleashed Gohan. He's the second strongest character in the whole Z series, right below Vegito.
I think it has to do with the English Anime translation. There's a line of text that makes the audience think Kid Buu is the strongest but I think even then it's misinterpreted. Kid Buu was the most threatening because he was pure evil. He had no qualms destroying entire galaxies without purpose unlike Buuhan who was kind of like Cell. Cell only really used the threat of destroying the earth as motivation for the Z fighters to get stronger.
SSJ3 Goku couldn’t touch Buuhan, but went toe-to-toe with Majin Buu until he ran out of stamina. Clearly, Buuhan was the strongest.

The fact that it took litterally a spirit bomb that contained the energy from everyone in the entire universe and other world including energy from Gohan, efforts from fat Buu, SSJ2 vegeta and a full power Goku to finally destroy Kid Buu.
Before Goku was restored to full power, Kid Buu was in control of the spirit bomb struggle.
Buuhan = Super Buu + Gohan + piccolo + Goten + trunks
Universe spirit bomb = all other Z fighter energy (Yamcha, Krillin, Tien etc) + the energy from 7 billion humans (that put so much energy into it, if they added any more they would die) + all other world + all namekians + 17 + Gohan + Piccolo + Goten + trunks and lastly the bomb had a full power Goku on the other end of it.
The Earths energy was enormous.... the average Human power level was 5, some of the Humans were much stronger than that. This means on average it would only take around 24 million humans to create genki that rivals full power Freiza. Now Imagine all 7 billion.
@@WaveForceful Still don't debunk the fact that he is the strongest Buu. Dragon Book Volume 7 states the while more absorbsions Buu does, he become stronger. By simple logic, a Majin Buu with a lot of powerfull people absorb is stronger than a majin buu with no one absorb.

If we’re going by power scaling, I’d argue that even the original Super Buu is stronger than Kid Buu. Judging by who was able to fight who, the scale seems to go:
1. Super Vegito (Strongest)
2. Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed)
3. Super Buu (Gotenks Absorbed)
4. Ultimate Gohan
5. Super Buu / Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks (w/ a slight edge over Super Buu)
6. Kid Buu
7. Fat Buu / Super Saiyan 3 Goku (possibly a bit stronger than Fat Buu)
8. Grey Bu
9.Mister Bu
Ultimate Gohan was stronger than super buu gotenks absorbed, Gohan still wiped the floor with him, he let his guard down and got absorbed that's why he didn't win

Boohan was at least 20x stronger than ssj3 Goku and Kid boo was probably a little bit stronger than one ssj3 Goku.
I find it interesting how the games such as budokai 2/3 try to make it out as if kid boo is the strongest.

@@Geekdom101 in my view. The super buu arc was basically fusion Vs absorption while kid buu arc was pure natural power. While super buu and vegito are stronger than Goku and kid buu, they're basically cheating methods. Meanwhile the final arc showed them at their real natural power.

There’s also this article where Toriyama said he likes to surprise people by making the smallest form the most powerful, and he mentioned Buu.
I believe Buuhan is the most powerful too, I’m just saying a lot people use that in their arguments.

Even though I've never read the manga, I've always looked at it like this. Against Kid Buu, Goku and Vegeta fought him separately. Yeah, they were both getting their asses whooped until Goku had the spirit bomb ready, but its still the fact they fought him separately, not even teaming up. Against Buuhan, fighting him separately wasn't an option. They were forced to fuse just to stand a chance at beating him.
Yeah, Goku outright says "we don't need the Potaras any more" because obviously Buu has gotten weaker and now he's within their abilities. I don't know how was this ever a question when the manga pretty much spells it out.
and vegeta literally said "we can take him" while laughing and goku replied "yeah" while smiling meaning if they team up against kid buu, they are confident in winning pretty easily, the only thing that fuck them over is that they didn't expect kid buu to be crazy enough to blow up earth for no reason
Kid Buu is just more unpredictable, and ruthless, while Buuhan is the strongest. This has always been my train of thought.
They couldn't fuse. Vegeta broke the earing as soon as they split. Ppl say "well they fought kid separately" they had to vegeta would not fuse (even the dance) so whats the option besides fight him like that?

Oh boy. I mean, i get it. People literally have the anime telling them that Kid Buu is the strongest, but its just a gross misinformation that people should realize pretty easily. SSJ3 Goku was even weaker than Buutenks, who is way weaker than Buuhan, due to "Ultimate" Gohan being the pinnacle of the whole Z series when it comes to power without fusion. The same Goku who was waay below these two versions of Buu, fought on par with Kid Buu until his stamina ran out and was confident that if Vegeta buys him some time to power up, he can kill Kid Buu with fully powered SSJ3. That wasn't even a question with Buuhan, they had to fuse, otherwise they would've died.
Shhhh 🤫 don't tell the Kid Buu fanboys this, they don't think logically.
@@Rude_Boi There are some evidence that goku powered up in the anime version since goku had more fights. Like buu made a copy of gohan and that copy is suppose to be as strong as gohan but goku beat him putting goku stronger than gohan.
If you learned anything from super, saiyans can get stronger pretty massive in a short amount of time so the pure buu group can definately make a case.
@@SaintDragon666 Someone gave me that same argument the other day and I'll tell you what I told them: that was non canon. Let's say Goku did power up, when and how did he power up? When Saiyan's get stronger, they get stronger from coming back from the brink of death, by training, or by powering up. (Going by the anime) the only fight Goku had when he came back alive, was fighting Buutenks for a few seconds, getting beat down by Buuhan, and fighting Kid Buu. When did Goku get this massive power boost and when was it notably stated? Even if he got a massive power boost, why was Goku still afraid to fight BASE Super Buu and told Vegeta that they needed fusion to even fight him?
If Goku was able to fight Kid Buu, but wasn't able to fight Super Buu and was scared to fight him, even suggesting fusion, how is Kid Buu stronger than Buuhan?
This is all in the anime. Think about it..

How did buu split, eat the other version and become even stronger when logically super buu should be as strong as fat buu and pure should be even weaker than fat buu if all power amping people has been removed from him.
If you want to make the case that pure of heart people who buu absorbs make him weaker than gohan and goten would definately make him weaker cause goku and his sons can ride nimbus.

Like old Kai said, the more good people he absorbs the weaker his own powers get in favor of the absorbed fighters. When he absorbs people he caps his power to their level. So OG kid buu is the only one with God ki, the transformations he has use the energy of the absorbed person. 👌
Which is why when they removed all the people pods, Goku and Vegeta were in horror to find out his power was rising and not falling 💪
@@montanamaxxamillion God Ki isn't that special doe. and power wise the amount of God Ki he got would've been from south Kai and daikaio which apparently isn't much since south Kai was strong physically and daikaio gave up most of his power to stop Morro.
kid Buu was already around ssj2 level as he was losing to south Kai and had to absorb him for the win. daikaio knew he wasn't going to win and instead opt to weaken Buu but fat Buu was still around ssj3 Goku level.
People will never say goku is stronger than vegito or gogeta because it is a fusion form. But they forget that buuhan is a fusion form as well. Thus if you want to compare who is the stronger buu you gotta remove his fusion forms.
Something I think people forget is buuhan also had piccolo goten and trunks at the time he absorbed gohan. That’s A LOT of power. I feel like people tend to look at buuhan as “super buu with gohan absorbed” when In reality it’s super buu with 3 saiyan hybrids and a super namekian.
Either way, Buuhan is absolutely the coolest!

@@joshb1998 I don't think that's true because they explained that he was getting weaker when he absorbed the Kais. I think the reason Buu absorbed them was so that they wouldn't be an obstacle and they were too challenging for a 1 on 1 fight. They even say that when he is transforming back to pure Buu they couldn't tell if he was getting stronger or weaker which implies they thought he would was getting weaker when he was reverting but then he got stronger.
Majin Buus Regenerative Abilities are so much greater than anything ever seen in all of DragonBall that i dont think Ultimate Gohan could have beaten Buu without a technique like the Spirit Bomb. Buu in all his forms seemed to have unlimited stamina, when was he ever exhausted?
When Fat Buu fought Kid Buu he was exhausted and running out of stamina.
Knowing that you can theoretically beat the ever living crap out of Buu (if you're considerably stronger) and essentially weaken him to make it easier to finish off.
It is possible to beat him without a OHKO-move. Buuhan's regen was failing after he was beaten to a pulp by Vegito for nearly an hour.

Gohan buu would easily kill kid buu. The gap is like ss3 goku compared with super vegeta that fought semi perfect cell

Honestly everyone says buuhan, I think content creators try to keep this argument going by bringing it up and trying to stir the pot. Like literally 90 percent of people say buuhan
The way I always understood it is that Buuhan is stronger, but he has still some sense and is interested a good fight and conquering the universe while Kid Buu is weaker, but he basically has limitless stanima, is night immortal thanks to his insane regeneration and he has no interest other than to destroy and have fun in the suffering of others.
Yeah. Super Buu has an appetite for destruction but he still can be reasoned with and is capable of restraint (as shown when he spares Hercule and is willing to wait for an hour to fight Gotenks). Also while he is almost immortal he has a sense of self-preservation and doesn't go out of his way to cause self-harm. Kid Buu, on the other hand, has no restraint, cannot be reasoned with and won't hesitate to blow himself up to destroy everything nearby. This is shown true in the show: Buuhan is stronger (Goku and Vegeta together had no chance without fusion while Goku could've killed Kid Buu himself if he wished) but Kid Buu is more dangerous (he causes immensely greater levels of destruction, destroying Earth and several other planets, in the short while he is active)
You guys are looking at the fact buuhan is an absorption fusion but without that Buu is not stronger than kid Buu which is Buu final form smdh that like saying base form Frieza is stronger than golden Frieza be serious

If you saw that then you'd know that Kid Buu is original/very first form of Majin Buu, hence the base form. You think he's the final form when in reality he's just his first form that appears last and has the final fight. This was very clearly explained in both the anime and the manga. Super Buu didn't transform into Kid Buu, he regressed into Kid Buu

So the GT main characters have 16 years of training and power growth over Supers characters. In GT Trunks and Goten are freaking adults in Super they are still kids and are not as strong yet. At the start of GT base Goku is as strong as kid buu ( and I don't believe kid buu is the strongest buu ), while Super Goku is not in fact base super goku much later in Super couldn't even beat slim buu which was just good buu in better shape. So powerscaling heavily favors GT due to it being many years ahead of Super in the timeline so its obvious GT characters are stronger. In fact Beerus said base super goku can't even beat frieza yet he was referring to the namek saga frieza.
1. We never saw anything about Buu’s absorption process that would allow for him to get stronger by LOSING powerful absorptions. By this logic alone, Kid Buu should be weaker than base Super Buu since he lost Fat Buu
2. Goku was confident Gotenks could beat Buu. But at this point he had only fought Fat Buu and had no clue Gotenks could go SSJ3. The fight he was envisioning was SSJ1 Gotenks vs Fat Buu. That puts SSJ1 Gotenks maybe somewhere between Fat Buu and SSJ3 Goku. However depending on what scalars you want to use, there is no way SSJ3 Goku is stronger than SSJ3 Gotenks. Again depending on what scalars you want to use, SSJ3 Gotenks is at least 8 times stronger than SSJ1 Gotenks. The fight that actually went down was probably an entire order of magnitude above what Goku was expecting. That also puts Gohan above even that, and Buuhan even further ahead. Yet SSJ3 Goku was keeping pace with Kid Buu. Kid Buu is an order of magnitude lower than probably even base Super Buu
3. There is a reason someone like Goku who puts up a fight despite the odds felt it was hopeless to fight Super Buu without fusing yet didn’t feel the same way against Kid Buu. Sure, he wanted to use the Potaras again, but he got over it pretty quickly once Vegeta destroyed them. Yet he was terrified to fight Super Buu even at SSJ3. Again, they are just on completely different levels.
i disagree. i think fat buu easily weakened buu. just like the fat kai weakened buu, and fat buu has the fat kai in him. when buu spit out the fat buu, he 100% gained strength in that moment.
your first point is already easily debunked. when buu absorbed the kais, he got weaker. period. my proof to this, is when buu split, the skinny buu beat the fat buu lol. when fat buu was cut down and spit out, he fights and kid buu/original buu is stronger.
we can conclude that this is proof that absorbing people can decrease your power, and the removal of said absorbed person will increase your power.
the only debatable part, is what had a bigger impact, the removal of fat buu, or the absorption of the z fighters. both sides can make compelling arguments, but there is just not enough facts, to get to a definitive answer. each outcome requires assumptions to be made. therefor it will remain an open question.

Another angle: while Toriyama enjoys subverting expectations in terms of forms, such as the next form doesn't always have to be bigger to be stronger (as seen with Freeza and Perfect Cell), the fact remains that "bigger versions of the same thing" were always stronger in the manga. 2nd form Freeza is just a bigger version of 1st form Freeza, and he was stronger. 100% Freeza was a bigger and buffer version of the final form at standby. Power-weighted Perfect Cell was stronger than the standby version. And likewise with Buu - Super Buu was a bigger version of Kid Buu for (almost) all intents and purposes, and he was much stronger. Buff Buu was a more muscular version of Super Buu, and stronger. You get the gist.
While i agree that kid buu isnt the strongest youre wrong about the rest. Friezas final form is smaller than the previous 2, and I believe cells 2nd form was his biggest of his 3 standard forms.

The point is that a bigger version of final form Freeza was stronger than a smaller version of final form Freeza. The same is true for Cell (when he buffed up and became huge against SSj2 Gohan, which did him no good anyway).

without an official statement, power scaling is often the most reliable way to do this. Goku (whilst dead) as an SSJ3 was as strong as, maybe a bit stronger than fat Majin Buu (who had no absorption except the Kais of course), Super Buu was stronger and Ultimate Gohan was easier stronger than him and arguably as strong as Buutenks (gotenks AND Piccolo absorbed, I think we underestimate Piccolo and forget him a little here) so its safe to say at this point SSJ3 Goku would probably die quickly at this point. then we get Buuhan (so Buutenks plus the strongest unfused character in Z) who required a Vegito at SSJ1 to straight up beat him (if he wanted to of course). once he is Kid Buu again, having lost all his absorptions (except maybe one of the kais, as we saw the grand supreme kai return sort of with fat Buu in the Moro arc) a living SSJ3 Goku is matching him again and if was starting from fresh maybe defeated him. Buuhan is leagues above Kid Buu. Unless Toriyama pulls a fast one on us and decides that Buu kept all the power of the absorbtions and then got stronger afterwards, Buuhan is the strongest Buu and 2nd in Z only to Vegito (and probably Gogeta as well)

As you stated, goku and vegeta were basically 2 characters in a horror movie against super buu, but were at least a hurdle for kid buu. Ain't no zenkai boost closing that big a gap.
Some speculate that after the fusion, Goku and Vegeta understood each other better which is why Goku was the first to turn it down. After all they share body and mind, so Vegeta would ultimately come to understand the mind of Goku and vice versa. I think it's a pretty cool and likely theory.

Kid buu because he has no conscious restraints. Therefore, he's able to unleash his max power.

Super Buu is stronger than Kid Buu because he still has fusions in his being. Super Buu is: Kid Buu + South Supreme Kai + Grand Supreme Kai (with the evil on the outside unlike Fat Buu who is the reverse). Kid Buu has no added power therefore he is weaker.
This is further proved when Super Buu went inside of his own body. You know what Goku said? Goku said that Super Buu would kill both him and Vegeta and that they NEEDED fusion again... whereas Goku and Vegeta both noted how much weaker Kid Buu was than Super Buu, and were willing to take him on without fusion until Kid Buu blew up the Earth instantly... even then, Goku still wanted to fight Kid Buu alone and even said he could kill him with his full power.

The argument of which one is strongest always seems redundant to me because Kid Buu is the baseline for all the other absorbed versions. Technically that should mean absorbing someone with a relative level of power would only make him stronger. I think any form of Buu with an absorption is probably stronger on power level alone, but Kid Buu would definitely be the most deadly version of all the Buu's simply because he has no ego or personality traits gained from absorbing someone diminishing his destructive tendencies. . Similar to Alfred's speech about the Joker in The Dark Knight. He can't be provoked, bargained, or reasoned with as his only goal is chaos and destruction, as compared to the other versions of Buu with some form of ego and higher mental capabilities that can be influenced into alternate courses of action.

Even watching The Buu Saga on toonami as a kid without even knowing what a manga was I still thought Buuhan was the strongest due to common sense. The only confusion at the time was between Super Buu and Kid Buu. These fans took it to another level lol
Kid Buu has the most unrestricted fighting skills and fastest regeneration while not being the physically strongest while Buuhan has the greatest raw power, but restricted by going by the ki/technique spewing martial artist mindset to truly be as a inventive. Kid Buu is weaker while more adaptable while Buuhan is stronger, but limited.
I'd call Buuhan calculated instead of limited. He may consider the value of life far less than Cell/Frieza, but he still enjoyed the prospect of bullying it into the ground. Kid Buu is the definition of giving a toddler a hammer and everything in existence becomes a nail.
Super Buu was a much stronger being but enjoyed sadism, wheras Kid Buu was unrelenting, never tired for long and used his nearly indestructible form to wear down the stamina of fighters who might even be a bit stronger thah him.

I thought the debate was always about Super Buu vs Kid Buu, and that Buuhan was always known to be obviously stronger.
I think one of the biggest issues in this discussion has always been people assume kid buu ever really once tried against Goku or Vegeta. We see numerous times that kid buu is having a blast just messing with them. The only time we see him really exert himself is against against final spirit bomb which is pushes back. You can argue all you want about how Goku was tired but the fact is buu stopped a positive energy attack of that magnitude and pushed it back. He may not have been the strongest majin buu, but the little guy packed way more of a punch than people give him credit for.

Kid/Evil Buu has always been my favorite Buu due to the fact he was a no BS villain. That being said I always had this thought process from the beginning: Buuhan was the overall strongest in terms of raw upfront power, However Kid/Evil Buu had the potential to do the most damage/destruction possible because his lack of caring. DBS further supported my thoughts of Kid/Evil Buu having "Possibly" more potential with his mindset and now knowing he has possible god powers inside of him, but it still does not take away from Buuhan having the highest power seen thus far out of the Buus.

You know there is also the fact that back then they thought the Potara Fusion was permanent, which I think helped add to the tension in the final battle. They could've fused and beat Buu the easy way, but at a cost they would risk being fused with each other forever, or they could find an alternate way to beat Buu, yet still keep their individuality.
Of course this is one of the biggest reasons why I really don't like the 1 hour retcon, as it just ruined everything.

Buuhan was absolutely the strongest. There was almost no effort made by Goku or Vegeta to even attempt an attack, at least physical. It was just running away from Buuhan showing off. With kid Buu they directly fought him. I like the idea of pitting an ss3 goku against super buu, just for strength, not stamina. The android and cell saga are by far my favorites tho. The amount of power ups, training and variation on power in the same form (super vegeta vs super trunks) is cool. Also piccolo finally getting some real power was fun. Goku training gohan in the time chamber was a big inspiration for me to powerlift and have a lot of stamina also, well rounded training

There is one important detail you forgot! Fusion also provide the weakness with the power scale. Kid Buu (Purification Buu) has unlimited energy, unlimited power, and can keep regenerating. Super Buu may be stronger in power scaling, but he has all the weakness from the people he absorbed. Which is why his regeneration was slowing down and he was having so much trouble. not only that, but Kid Buu can only be killed with 100% pure energy while Super Buu can be killed by less due to his fusion process. Buu absorbing people grants him a way to die and have their weakness. This kind of changes the game between the two.

Kid buu was an uncontrollable monster with unlimited regeneration and energy, while super buu may have the mind and power as a fighter, but also contained everyone's weaknesses. They had a higher chance to kill super buu than they did with kid buu.

There is another statement from DBS manga that can be considered, technically speaking.
In DBS manga chapter 31, Dende is quoted saying the "Evil Majin Buu(Kid Buu) is the most powerful enemy you've ever faced" to Goku. Techincally Goku did face almost all forms of Buu. Make what you will of that. (I also checked the JP to see any mistranslation and there isnt btw)
But then again its a chapter with another sort of contradiction to the original. Its that Goku actually doesn't remember asking for Buu's reincarnation to King Yama himself and is surprised to hear it, which is illogical considering in the OG he actually knows and remembers it.
The most powerful because he was the most evil, chaotic, dangerous and Dende isn't a warrior; he isn't a decent sage.
That could mean Majin Buu in general was the most powerful enemy, which is what he was saying when Kid Buu was dying in the anime.

They literally mention the split in that DBS chapter, and it's the same split that we all saw happen in Z right before he turned into Super Buu (Evil Buu with good Buu absorbed). Kid Buu is just the base form of Evil Buu, likely why his picture was used. It's the version that resonates with everyone the most, just as base Goku is the version of Goku that resonates with everyone the most.

I was introduced to Dragon Ball in 1993, about 4 years before officially releasing in the US. By the end of the manga in 1995, it was clear to me that Buuhan was the strongest Buu. I dont even see why anyone would need to debate this over an almost 30 year period. More dangerous/unpredictable or not, why in anyone`s mind would they think that Kid Buu with no one absorbed would be stronger than Buuhan, who has multiple strong AF fighters absorbed further augmenting his power. That debate is like bringing a spork to a gunfight lol.

exactly, the entire point of the backstory of buu, is that he absorbed the kais and got weaker lol. fat buu is the weakest buu. he fat buu and evil buu split, fat buu lost to evil buu and was absorbed again. when fat buu was spit out, kid buu was stronger and beat him.
to me, this is evidence that absorbing fat buu, leads to a decrease in power. so the only question that needs to be answered, is what is the impact of fat buu. how much weaker does he make buu? and does it outweigh the strength gained from the saiyans.
as far as i know, there is nothing to suggest either is stronger for sure, each require assumptions which leave the question open for debate, likely forever.
Buuhan was stronger because Gohan had a power up taught to him by a God, two saiyans and a Super Namek. That's brutal. He had almost 50 percent of the Z fighters.

The anime showed that Buuhan had enough power to tear through reality if he wanted to in his fight against Vegetto,and he's the absorbed form of Ultimate Gohan, who has been stated to be the Strongest Non-Fused Character in the series at that time. I actually love the thing about Ultimate Buu VS Kid Buu. Ultimate is stronger, BUT, stronger doesn't always mean more damage, because all Kid cares about is the damage.
It is actually great relationship between two forms. As Kid isn't stronger but harder to beat.
I feel like if you don't have a 1 shot kill move like the spirit bomb that wipes out every single cell of the Body even if your stronger than Kid Buu he will just outlast you with his infinite amounts of stamina which allows him to regenerate any damage taken.
Head canon, vegito proved it when he disintegrated buu’s head tentacle into nothing.

The way I see it, Buuhan is the most powerful and most intelligent version because of absorption. Kid buu was animalistic and savage and instinctual, while buuhan was prideful and intelligent. I think that’s a reason you could call kid buu more dangerous because buuhan’s pride left him prone to underestimating his opponents while kid buu was simply instinctual and didn’t have much higher level thinking
As for god ki I wonder if the only reason he had it is because of the kai he absorbed. Kid buu didn’t have the Kai inside him… pause
The way I see it is that Buuhan isn’t actually Buu.
He’s Gohan + Buu, so he doesn’t get the crown of strongest Buu.

Kid Buu is the strongest version of ‘Buu’.
Buuhan isn’t Buu.
He’s Buu + Gohan.
The same way in that Gogeta isn’t Goku, he’s Goku + Vegeta.
It's not a fusion, it's Majin Buu with Gohan absorbed.
No Kid Buu is the most dangerous version of buu NOT the strongest like you and some people make it out to be. Super Buu with Gohan absorbed is the strongest version of buu.
I consider mental strength in my response though.
Kid Buu is more resilient and doesn’t toy with his opponents, which makes him stronger in my eyes.
So since buuhan has the power of super buu,ssj3 gotenks and gohan who are all stronger then goku who was able to keep up with kid buu.I just dont see how kid buu could be stronger unless he was using like 0.01% of his power when he fought goku.
buhan was stronger, but kid buu was more dangerous because he was pure evil and chaotic, I think had kid buu been able to access his god ki, it'd be a different story
Super Buu wins because super Buu fought ssj3 Gotenks and kid Buu fought ssj3 Goku and in dragon ball z ssj3 Gotenks was way stronger than ssj3 Goku

@webbiefade14 When did Goku say he was no match for regular Super Buu? It was only Buuhan he didn't think he'd beat. He rejected fusing with Gohan once Buu powered down from Buutenks to Piccolo's absorption, who would've still been stronger than the Super Buu Gotenks fought. So Goku thought he was enough for him.
@@j04370859 literally inside Buu's body after they disconnect Gohan Goten Trunks and Piccolo. Vegeta tries to blast out and Goku stops him and says even though he's weaker from the disconnections he still too strong for them and he'll kill them if they go out. Goku immediately suggested fusion afterwards.
@@j04370859 also you're talking about the English dub mistranslation that made it seem like he was suddenly enough for Buu after Gotenks defused. In the real translation he says "Gohan can beat you now"
I honestly dont know how this was ever a debate. The fact that goku could fight on terms with kid buu by himself tells you what you need to know

It's not just that I think Buuhan is the strongest Buu, but I think normal Super Buu is stronger than Kid Buu. Because Goku says to Vegeta after they severed Super Buu's connection to Piccolo, Gohan, Goten, and Trunks, that there's still no way they can beat him despite his power being crippled significantly.
Also, even though Goku can go SSJ3, I think there's evidence to suggest SSJ3 Gotenks was significantly stronger than Goku, due to Gotenks being able fight almost evenly with Super Buu in that form.
I agree on Chuck's video where he said Kid Buu is stronger than anime (technically) but only stronger than super buu in the manga. Buuhan is definitely the strongest by manga standards
The guides, manga, anime, author and Koyama all agree Kid Buu is the strongest. The solution is simple. Kais weakened Buu. Gotenks absorbed and Gohan absorbed made Buu stronger but not emough to be back on Kid Buu level. Koyama stated Buuhan is strongest transformed Buu and also stated Kid Buu is the strongest Buu. Toriyama stated as well. Guides and managa and anime stated as well (yes, including Kai).

I always considered buuhan the strongest. Ultimate Gohan himself was super Saiyan 3 level with out the draw backs.

I’ve always said kid buu is the strongest and always will regardless of what anybody says. In the anime, multiple times they state kid buu is the strongest and that’s what I personally prioritize

It's not that complex, buuhan is not buu. Just like how we don't consider Vegito the strongest form of Goku, because Vegito is not Goku.
i could see people debate kid buu and super buu. but buuhan was basically created to make a reason to fuse goku and vegita. makes no sense to argue buuhan against kid buu
Sometimes stronger is a abstract concept. Intelligence, state of mind and experience can make a weaker character beat a stronger character. In my opinion, simply defining "strength" is not enough to decide if a villain is more or less capable of beating Goku. I'm not saying Kid Buu is the best in all attributes besides strength, but he has in fact a personality that can make him more dangerous and a bigger threat to the Universe, maybe based purely on his instinct and lack of empathy. But still, I think for the video purpose, we can all agree that Buhan is the most dangerous solo fighter in all DBZ story and the hardest one to defeat
