iRacing: Return of True Racer

- It feels good to be back behind the sim racing wheel of iRacing. In old True Racer fashion I decide to jump off the deep end by diving right into Bathurst as my first week back. This race turned out to be much more intense then anticipated which lead to a very fun iRacing race.

excellent, bout time
That was indeed intense. That last lap was great.
Pretty insane seeing the gap the three of you pulled on the rest of the field. Really good racing between all of you, but not at the expense of time to the guys behind. Those are the kinds of races that even if you don't win, you have a freaking great time and finish the race with a smile on your face because of how much fun it was.

Good to see you’re back. I used to watch you on twitch about 3 years ago I think it was. Good luck with your new direct drive wheel. I watch a guy named Jimmy Broadbent. He has a you tube channel. He has a direct drive wheel and he LOVES it. So enjoy it man. Good luck.

I'm going to be getting the DD1 myself, first I've got to grab some new pedals mind as my V2's are on their last legs.
yea my brake cylinder is not doing to good a new pedal set is in the near future for me too

Welcome back! I'm not up to snuff and was under the impression that Fanatec's DD1 and DD2 would be ready this month. I pre-ordered DD2 over a month ago, and up until today it was listed as Available on Dec. 7th. Now I hear you say it's not for a couple months, so I went over to fanatec.com and they changed the release date to 4/30/2019 Damn
Yea I got that same email. Luckily I got this wheel to hold me off u til then
I got the email...0.07% of the product has defects, so they pushed back shipping

Not sure if anyone has watched the whole video or no one is commenting about your mic, but sounds like you've got a loose connection with your mic that cuts out your voice around the beginning of lap 3 and then there's some off and on static into at least lap 5 (which is as far as I've gotten so far).
This is correct, my audioTecnica mic is not working and so this video is with my headphone mic
@@True_Racer Not sure if you are aware of it, but it cuts out completely there for a bit and after that there's a bit of static from your mic. Sounds like there's a loose wire "somewhere".
yes I did notice that when I was editing.... nothing could do then
@@True_Racer Thought I'd mention it just in case you didn't catch it. Great race by the way. I really miss iRacing, but at least I know I can live vicariously through your races now. If only you raced more IR18 Ovals. ;)

I see you have been away for a while. Now you can map a button to use your helmet tearoff so that doesn't stay dirty all race! ;)
Either I’m good at racing the Skip whilst keeping my mouth shut, or I’m good at talking while doing a bad job at driving...I can’t do driving the Skip well whilst talking good at the same time. True Racer = true talent!
