Hi, a faulty wheel speed sensor wouldn't cause that issue. It's possible there is another faulty sensor on the transmission, but it's hard to say without a scan tool that can read the trans codes
Turbine input shaft speed sensor A circuit ________P0715 Thats what the scan tool reported...to reach 60 mph the engine revs 5000 rpm and fuel consumption is 26,5 litres to 100 km.... What could be the problem
A wheel speed sensor would not cause that. Your shifter lock is not disengaging. You can manually release it (look up shift lock override). Make sure your brake switch is working
@@NotEnoughProjects I am getting a pop up that says esp abs unavailable or something like that the same thing you guys are getting any idea what it could be?
Hi, I am having the same problem but after looking at my scan tool for the problem of the abs everything looks fine base on the reading. Not sure why the abs light is on. Any clue or tip might help me?
Hey, are you sure your scan tool is capable of reading abs codes? Most basic scan tools will only read engine codes. If it is capable make sure it is compatible with your year Mercedes
2005 SL500- same message, ABS light on, 2 malfunctions, Work Shop, Scan said to check front passenger side wheel speed sensor. I ordered a new speed sensor. Installation generally looks similar with one big exception. Removal of the speed sensor at the wheel is a big problem. Have you had to change out a speed sensor on an SL500 front wheel? If so you know the problem I'm trying to deal with. What a stupid design. I can't find any reference that has changed a front wheel speed sensor on an SL500.
Sorry I'm just seeing this. You've probably figured it out by now, but here is the procedure: www.kolhosniki.ru/alldata&dir=part1&marke=1899&year=2005&model=13192&motor=39563&tbl=euro380&text=text_181596954&expand=12438
The symptoms of a bad wheel speed sensor are: abs light on, messages displayed, no cruise control. Other than that no drivability issues. If you are stuck in third grear that sounds like some kind of limp mode to me or issue in the transmission.
If you're getting codes thrown for front wheel speed sensors and nothing else I would start there. I would check wiring for any obvious issues that could cause intermittent connection. If you have access to a scanner that will read live abs data that could help troubleshoot. If no wiring issues speed sensors are cheap enough that you can replace and see what happens
Hello, happened to come across your channel. I like it well, keep up the good work. Good luck from Germany 🎉
Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate it

Happened to me, the mechanic say cleaning it but come up again and at the end I have to replace with new one. Good to have this info to save alot
Glad to hear it helped! Thanks for watching
I got a 6 speed manual and my parking brake doesnt work, do you need to take the wheel off to access all of that.
You shouldn't need to. Look up w203 park brake adjustment. You can either adjust the rear shoes or adjust the cable under the rear seat
Will a W203 not shift gears if the wheel speed sensor is bad cause mine only goes to 60mph at 5000 rpm...
