Seriously, no one I know has ever heard of nvx. I'm the only one in my neighborhood anyway driving around with nvx equipment and bragging about it, and people have no idea what I'm talking about. If you guys would get active on RUclips and Twitter and such, word would spread that there is a company called nvx selling car audio equipment. If this is something that nvx might actually consider doing, I am absolutely willing to help in any way I can. I love car audio and believe that more people should be made aware that a company called NVX actually exists.
I apologize as we did not respond in a timely fashion. We are looking to improve our response time on YT comments. Anyhow, the Q5 should be able to work well with the NVX QBSTA! If you need anything else, please let us know!
I like the way your sound deadening looks. I like that it has the 3 layers already but it may not be enough. I definitely would like to use something this small in the 91 miata spare. Non amplified to keep the space since it's small already.
@8:35 I can't get that stupid gray plug out of the back of the radio module to make the splices. How did you pull that plug out? I tried for an hour, my hands and fingers are sore. :0
I have a 1986 Toyota truck (mini styel3) with the small X-cab that has a shelf across the back with 6 to 7 inches clearance off the floor. It's not flat for some insane reason. Been looking at under seat 10" subs and most seem to get marginal reviews on sound quality and output. Thought a 11 to 12 inch 'spare tire' sub that is self enclosed might provide more bass. It will fit under the shelf and behind the driver seat. So, do you think this sub would function well as an interior sub?
This is all together a great sounding subwoofer for sure, although I have never seen it used as you are describing. I would say give it a shot and let us know!
Do you have to pull audio from both left and right speakers or could i just splice in from my driver side rear speaker? I am going to order me one of these for my 2022 Kia k5
@@NVXAudio thank you so much for the answer. Would you happen to know if i will be missing out on any bass thumps by just pulling from one side or will it even be noticeable? Thank you again!
It will not give your neighbors a heart attack or upset people at a light, but it will provide great bass for the passengers. If you want wake, shake, and create an incredible amount of bass, go with our NVX VC-Series like the VCW154 or VCW124. Also, we have the new XC-series that are pure insanity and will arrive in Feb/Mar 2025.
I just purchased this what's the deal with the red wire on the RCA input side ? Does that only have to be connected to 12 volt side to use the RCA jacks ?
Is there a mounting option that doesn't include that big plastic cone that the stud goes through? That thing is way too tall. How about something that is flush with the top of the subwoofer
Oof. Is there any other way to get a signal tapped in? At least in the 2017 bolt, the wiring harness is pulled so tight that I can't even fit a wire in between the signal cables coming out the back of the radio. You have a good few inches in the video but mine is only .5-1" of free space to tap into. Does the subwoofer need signal to power on? I've wired it up exactly as you have in the video but the power light doesn't come on. I also tried playing an ipod on the rca jacks. Still nothing.
@NVXAudio im on pro demand looking at my cars wiring diagram. Do I tap in to the SPI+ or will the actual speaker wires on the back of the head unit work just fine?
The pre amp in the subwoofer has its auto remote feature where when it detects sound through the inputs to the amp so when you play music it automatically bridges its power to the remote so you need not worry about a remote wire running through your car
Under the carpet, we did not feel that part was needed as people may do this differently. Like the saying goes, there is more than one way to fillet a fish.
Wait a minute, you realize you don't have to get rid of the spare tire to use this device. You simply turn the spare tire upside down and the subwoofer goes inside of it.
You guys should kick it up a notch, start posting more content as often as possible, even if it's nonsense
And your Twitter page gets ignored. Get on there guys!

Diamond Audio makes a similar subwoofer with dials on top. Sounds great, but hey... 300 rms - 900 watts max??? thats even more amazing!
Ours is better when you consider features, performance and price! :)
Cool set up! I'm glad I came across this video; I have an Audi Q5; if you have any suggestions, that would be great

Sometimes you may need to push the plug in then push the tab down as it may catch on its retaining clip on the radio side.
Does installation require additional wiring and amplifier to make this subwoofer work as intended?
These come with an amp integrated. So all you would need is 12v power and remote from the radio.
no wire ferrule for distro box and power wires? No wire strippers either?splice with just electrical tape, without soldering?
To each their own.
Thanks !
Is this a chevy bolt EUV with the bose sound system? Did this subwoofer replace the Bose setup?
It did not have the Bose system, but if it did, you would grab signal from the factory subwoofer.
You might want to take a look at the manual to your sub, there are many mistakes in it such as conflicting fuse sizes and mislabeled controls.
We will look into this right away! Thank you!

You can tag into one side and just tag both positives and negatives together at the high-level input harness.

@@sharkracing071 If bass notes move from one side to the other, I suppose it could, but you may not even notice.
Thanks yall are the best. I just ordered me one from sonic electronix with the NVX wiring kit!
No collets on your fusk link? Are those wires Aluminum????
Does it hit just as good as a box and does it take the car and the neighbors

How does it sound when covered by both of the false floors?
To be 100% honest, it had a lot more output and clarity than we thought something like this could.
I just purchased this what's the deal with the red wire on the RCA input side ? Does that only have to be connected to 12 volt side to use the RCA jacks ?
No, it is the remote turn on input, just in case you do not wish to use the DC turn on mode and use a switched source.

You can find signal in the harness in the running board running to the rear of the vehicle.
Question in the kit I see 2 sets of RCA cables my amp only has 1 set for line input L and R does this mean id need a different kit?
The kit in the video only had one set of RCA's that were not used in this install.
Hola,
How many boxes of deadening did you use for this project?
Thanks
About half of our bulk kit in this case.
Is their a non amplified version of this subwoofer?
This has been a topic of discussion and it is possible that we may do an unamplified version.
Did yall not need a line output converter?
We did not, we used the high level input and auto turn on feature in this install.
@NVXAudio im on pro demand looking at my cars wiring diagram. Do I tap in to the SPI+ or will the actual speaker wires on the back of the head unit work just fine?

@ You tap in to the speaker wires + and - anywhere you can find them in the vehicle.
@@NVXAudio great, thank you!

This. Not even a question.
I just installed this amazing subwoofer and noticed that once all is turned off there is a blue Led light that stay on? Should that be on?
Thank you
Please check your Facebook comments and email.
Don't twist and tape! An open barrel crimp and heat shrink is the only correct way to tap a signal wire!
And solder! No! Crimp splice and use a feral on the power and ground wires before installing in the connector.
Military splice is mecp recommended practice
All i wanted from this video was where you ran the power and speaker wires to the back, and you skipped that part. lol
Under the carpet, we did not feel that part was needed as people may do this differently. Like the saying goes, there is more than one way to fillet a fish.
Use your brain, ya dingus
So when you get a flat tire just turn up your radio on the side of the road and hope for the best.
I own one, it comes with self healing tires
That's strange, why wouldn't you just take out the spare tire and put it on? Sure you'd have to remove the subwoofer, but it's not that hard
Wait a minute, you realize you don't have to get rid of the spare tire to use this device. You simply turn the spare tire upside down and the subwoofer goes inside of it.
