After loading the encounter you don't have to play through it, immediately turn on all gameplay modifiers while in the encounter and quit back to the menu 5. Continue your story and your cheats should be on
so what ur saying is first on grounded i gotta reach Ellies's Seattle Day 1 and then save the grounded gane and then go to any encounter and then on ur cheats and then go back to ur story?
Hey im right now at the beginning of abby when she was little and i just want to say thanks for this. I would never be able to get even close to getting the trophy without you.
The only accessibility options I enabled were enhanced listen mode and high contrast mode. I only did this for the scavenging, I don't use them in combat encounters. I've played these games so many times and I don't feel like searching every inch of the world for supplies anymore. I just got to Abby Day 1 on grounded+ and I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. It's really fun to sneak through encounters without killing or being seen.
Despite the horrendous difficulty spike (mostly due to incredible enemy perception/accuracy imo), if you can make it through grounded difficulty it really pushes you to master all of the game mechanics. Infected battles become melee and dodge only encounters and more bricks and bottles get thrown than bullets fired! There ARE a few other useful little game 'hacks' you can use without messing with the settings though, which helped my playthrough a lot. ALL of the vehicle combat enounters will give you unlimited ammo up to a certain point, then you'll start the next section with the number of rounds you have left in the mag after the last reload. So when Ellie is with Jesse in the 4WD, she'll reload when the final clicker turns up - try and kill it with as few rounds as possible to stash a bit of extra ammo. It's a similar deal for Abby. You'll also get a full heal after every day end / trip back to the theatre, so save your meds if you're near the end! Personally I tried to only use firearms on human enemies and nastier infected. Bricks and bottles do get a bit rarer here, but you should be aiming to get a grab/strike kill using each one. If you have a melee weapon though, always go for a grab kill over a strike and save your melee weapon for an enemy you can't stun first. Other than that, learn to dodge. It felt kind of glossed over compared to some of the other new mechanics to me, but it's incredibilty effective against infected/melee enemies If you can recognise the enemies attack wind up animations.
Same thing playing brutal mode on the first 3 uncharted where you die with just 2 bullets (in the first uncharted at a certain point there are some enemy with a pistol that will one shot you) and enemies with 5 bullets. You need to learn to use a different kind of cover similar to a glitch but it isn't and use glitch to have more ammo.
I understand using all the things that you mentioned in the video for making the experience somehow easier and bearable, but i honestly recommend playing grounded mode as it was meant to be played. Either for gaining the trophy or for just wanting to experience the difficulty.
@@blacktimbs8354 Well done for the trophy mate. I too have gained the trophy on tlou1 and the challenge of grounded mode made me appreciate more the game, its themes of survival and overall gameplay.
This is dope as hell. Probably gonna use some off this later on. Still haven't got myself to play the game again. Enjoyed my first playthrough so much but I didn't have the time to grind a whole entire playthrough again. But it's something I need to start doing to get them platinum trophies. Happened to me with Ghost of Tsushima, finished the story in my first playthrough but didn't have the patience to go through again and try 100% everything with all the side quests to get that platinum. But now that it's been a year the games will feel new to me again. Keep up the great content chief 👊🏿💯
Nice video brotha, I did this after I got the grounded trophy the regular way, I couldn’t believe they allowed this to work, I made it through prone about 90% of the game and finished in under 9 hours
It's not a great experience. Companion A.I. is none existing they also block doorways push you out of cover. Stealth is completely ruined. I bet they took out wall listening because it seems once spotted enemies spawn behind you. Enemies shoot through objects and walls. Have a bomb, smoke, or bottle tossed across the map and have them know exactly where you are once they go off. Cut scenes are a complete jokes because the characters act like a idiots during gameplay but act like commander warrior's in the cutscenes. Immersion is garbage. You'd think A.I. would increase and make it harder. Nope just give the enemies aim bot and button input reading. There's Metro Exodus hard and there's unfair advantage and that's exactly what grounded is.
Grounded mode is not immersive. The ai's perception is f****** god-like. You get spotted and before the enemy can even finish saying they've seen you, every other enemy in the area will turn and immediately fire with pinpoint accuracy. You'll shoot an enemy and, if you don't land a headshot, before you'll have enough time to line up a second shot they'll recover and fire, and they don't miss. It's been a long time since I played grounded on TLOU 1, but I don't remember it being this broken.
For those who may not know, I've completed TLOU1, Left Behind, and TLOU2 Grounded the authentic way multiple times, and if you're curious about my journey, you can check out that video here: ruclips.net/video/aG3DDwHwu_w/видео.html Once again, thank you all for being a part of my channel and this evolving experience! 🤠❤🤠
Dan, there is a way to get unlimited ammo and supplies in grounded mode. Step 1: play until you get to Seattle Day 1 where you unlock the first encounter. The one with the infected at the synagouge Step 2: save your game, and exit back into the main screen. Step 3: Load up the first encounter, and put the difficulty in Light Step 4: Give yourself the infinite ammo and infinite supplies cheat, then exit. Step 5: Load back up grounded save, and you'll have it. Even the one-hit shots work. Tested this and got the trophy. I think it works for permadeath too.
Its an understatement to say that these changes make grounded mode feel like Light Easy. With "invisible while prone" active in particular, its more like that glitch in Payday 2 where you can literally crawl under the cops noses & steal the loot as long as you dont leave prone position
@@ManlyPelican yeah man exactly what I think, I went through it the hard way and raged and struggled but was so proud when I did it and the trophy popped and now seeing everyone can get it makes me sad man
@Tivo Hev we aren't losing sleep over it but you don't have to do that trophy for the plat. If you are going for that trophy you are saying you want a challenge and are ready to take on the hardest stuff the game has to offer. To do this makes the whole experience pointless.
@Tivo Hev well I enjoyed it for being that that hard but I think it's just a bit unfair that people would play it with all these easy settings and still get the trophy
Also, the rat king fight is made much easier if you find the flamethrower. If you do, save it for that fight. Don't waste any of it on any other enemy.
Great video for those who absolutely just want a taste of Grounded and still want the trophy! You don’t have to turn all of those option on, those are just tips! Thank you for letting us know about Grounded (Dan’s Version)
Why do I feel like Grounded is now just Baby Mode after this video? Thank you so much Wolf for the tips and tricks! Now I’m definitely going to Platinum TLoU2!!!
I played this game finally for the 1st time from start to the very end, and this platinum are really easy. I want to give grounded a try but i am not a horror type of guy and also not a survival gamer but ill give it a shot. It`s really a very nice and amazing game to play and i love this gameplay. thanks for the tips bro!!
I just finished Grounded+ with most of these settings and it worked out pretty well for me. Trophy popped up. Thanks to that enhanced listen mode and invisible while prone, the playthrough was a breeze. Especially in the last encounter at the resort in Catalina Island (which can be a nightmare) I was able to sneak past every Rattler while prone without fighting them.
This is awesome because I'm going to try to do as much of it as legit as possible but nice to know there are options if I get stuck. I imagine you can change these at any time?
Rat king tip: Dont use any explosives or fire related weapons as Abby, or high caliber. Save all your powerful weapons for him. Stealth the rest of the way
I have also learned (not personally confirmed yet, but confirmed by others recently) that as long as you get to the “Seattle day, one” chapter title screen: Quit the game (you cannot manually, save and grounded, but it will have auto saved at that point) Go to the main menu and navigate to where you can play an “encounter” - there should be only 2 choices if you just started Seattle day 1, chose any difficulty that ISN'T grounded. In the encounter, pause. Extras. Gameplay modifiers. Switch on whatever you want - infinite ammo, infinate crafting, etc. Quit the encounter. From the main menu start back up the grounded play through and all the modifiers will be ACTIVE. I confirmed that the cheats are working in grounded as of TODAY. What I don’t yet know is if I will get the trophy when I’m done the playthrough.
The next thing you can and should do is go through the extras tab on the menu and then "game modifiers" and get the "unlimited craftables and ammo 1 hit melee attacks and 1 shot deaths. This will allow you to survive longer and not need to worry about picking up items while playing
Man I got this trophy legit without these settings!! It’s was a tough week to get that trophy, let me tell you, wish I seen this video sooner haha, could’ve saved time
Congrats, boss. Same here but Got stuck on the part were Ellie has to fight with Seraphites. I died and reset countless now. So i feel like i need to cheat and hack my way around. I wish i got the balls to muscle through the pain just like you.
Im happy that i beat grounded on both games without tutorials. My biggest struggle was the fight in which ellie is FORCED to fight several stalkers, a clicker, and at least 1 of the 2 shamblers. Truly difficult
Game is nice. I will try this. Hope it works in the remastered version. Im playing a run on normal mode but do have a thing for when games will let you bullshit your way through them like subnaticas in game cheats menu. But i do got to say i will be only using these for grounded and will be doing all the collectibles on normal.
There's an exploit that acutally allows you to play Grounded difficulty with cheats on. It was so nice to kill everyone on one hit, including the Rat king boss.. Had the trophy done in 4 hours.
Oh my God, thank you, I just spent like 3 hours of my life on a stupid part where I had to fight a bunch of infected, I kept running out of bullet. Thank you!
Beat TLOU1 on grounded like a breeze because I had underestimated myself and played normal THROUGH grounded, thinking I couldn't take on the challenge. But by the time I reached grounded, I was already a good shot and played with near nothing. But grounded plus? Fucking insane. If you get up and move slightly, clickers will fkn hear you immediately and come towards ya. Definitely gonna use some of these just so it's not so damn crazy
I started Grounded mode to do it legit, however I ran into an infuriating circumstance. Everything i would collect, the game would not register it! I’d pick up explosives only to see i had ZERO explosives! I didnt want to restart the whole thing so I persevered…its not better with Abby. Every alcohol i picked up would not register! Ive never been so pissed at the games defect.
Was expecting this video to give some tips and tricks, but instead I gave me some straight up cheats, not complaining just pointing it out. 10/10 video
I played my first playthrough on "Hard" difficulty with agressive playstyle killing every enemy. I found it so easy that I just decided to crawl through the next couple playthroughs to get my 100 %. Needles to say, but I enjoyed the first game much more than this...
Playing through it on moderate and loot every area. I do stealth kills whenever and do find myself full with supplies a lot. Guess moderate was made for people who just run and gun the game like its cod. Im in seattle day 2 with 11 hours in.
Hooray! Baby Mode Players UNITE! And I might actually give Grounded a go using this method!!! Thanks for sharing the secrets to not getting your face ripped off! Question - can you get past the dogs if you choose "invisible while prone," or can they still sniff you out?
I honestly can't remember, but because no one an see you until they "step on you" I **do** remember shooting some dogs and their owners very up close while prone
There is no baby mode method for the Grounded mode trophy on The Last of us Part 1. So anyone who wants that trophy has to do it the normal way. lol l already have it, and wasn't too bad. But l would see Grounded mode being much MUCH harder on part 2 if it was done legit. That would of actually made a HILARIOUS Trophy though honestly. Finish the entire game on Baby mode with all optional settings turned on LOL
I got the trophy on Grounded+ with “Game modification”. I enabled Infinite ammo and crafting with sun glitch. I’ll do another grounded game but without the cheats this time.
Do you remember when the trophy popped? Edit: I got it a while ago, the trophy pops as soon as the credits are over and yes you can skip them and get the trophy
If you loading into a any game, save that allows you to do game modifications, like infinite ammo, toggle those and then go into your grounded save it won’t untag those

Loved the video, Wolf! I personally like the challenge, but this is awesome for those who don’t want to suffer like I’m suffering right now 😅😅
Right on, Gustavo
Some of us sold our soul to get the grounded trophy on tlou1. We’re good on “experiencing the difficulty”
@@blacktimbs8354 Well done for the trophy mate. I too have gained the trophy on tlou1 and the challenge of grounded mode made me appreciate more the game, its themes of survival and overall gameplay.
Tbh I want the experience
This is helpful but i’m here for the suffering not the trophy so i did in the intended way
This is dope as hell.
You're very kind, Tapiwa!
Nice video brotha, I did this after I got the grounded trophy the regular way, I couldn’t believe they allowed this to work, I made it through prone about 90% of the game and finished in under 9 hours
Awesome stuff, Marine 3:16!
I honestly recommend playing this game on grounded/survival. Its a great experience.!
its too inmersive
@@greyham5620 not that deep ur just bad
Grounded mode is not immersive. The ai's perception is f****** god-like. You get spotted and before the enemy can even finish saying they've seen you, every other enemy in the area will turn and immediately fire with pinpoint accuracy. You'll shoot an enemy and, if you don't land a headshot, before you'll have enough time to line up a second shot they'll recover and fire, and they don't miss.
It's been a long time since I played grounded on TLOU 1, but I don't remember it being this broken.
@@DJ-3D I get u now but it's not to bad I'm pretty much done with the game on grounded
The one with the infected at the synagouge
Step 2: save your game, and exit back into the main screen.
Step 3: Load up the first encounter, and put the difficulty in Light
Step 4: Give yourself the infinite ammo and infinite supplies cheat, then exit.
Wow. At this point you might as well just play on light. I’d recommend playing Grounded as it was intended.
Agree. The whole point of the trophy is the challenge. Kinda taints the trophy if people don't do it legit.
Fr if you can’t get the trophy the way they’re ant it then you don’t deserve it
@@ManlyPelican yeah man exactly what I think, I went through it the hard way and raged and struggled but was so proud when I did it and the trophy popped and now seeing everyone can get it makes me sad man
@Tivo Hev we aren't losing sleep over it but you don't have to do that trophy for the plat.
Also conserving hunting pistol ammo 😁👍🏻
@@animecentral7575 and the incendiary shells
@@Ori_Kohav and pipe bombs

Great video for those who absolutely just want a taste of Grounded and still want the trophy! You don’t have to turn all of those option on, those are just tips! Thank you for letting us know about Grounded (Dan’s Version)
Why do I feel like Grounded is now just Baby Mode after this video? Thank you so much Wolf for the tips and tricks! Now I’m definitely going to Platinum TLoU2!!!
love that video and i could listen to you for hours, such a calm voice :) didnt know about the prone,.. thats so helpful.

Thanks, Elijah!
When you change the settings it doesnt really feel like that you are playing grounded mode and you dont feel proud when getting the trophie
I guess it's if you want to brag that you got it even though you really didn't

Thank you, durrBubbles!
Just got the grounded trophy today because of this. Thank you so much.
My pleasure, Rupert!
Oooo thank you very much! Just started grounded mode today and found the clickers to be even more of a nuisance. This will certainly make it easier!
Glad this is helpful, Ashleigh
You’re an absolute legend for this! Thank you 😅
wish i knew this before i beat grounded
I just finished Grounded+ with most of these settings and it worked out pretty well for me. Trophy popped up. Thanks to that enhanced listen mode and invisible while prone, the playthrough was a breeze. Especially in the last encounter at the resort in Catalina Island (which can be a nightmare) I was able to sneak past every Rattler while prone without fighting them.
Now try it normally without listen mode and invisible while prone.
Let’s remember it’s meant for your enjoyment. Thank you for this video.
All of those but on very light are a dream come true
Got to the last encounter of the game until I realised this was an option 😅
I just got the tlou 1 platinum , maybe i can do it on tlou2 too. This actually inspired me to replay the game , thanks!
This is awesome because I'm going to try to do as much of it as legit as possible but nice to know there are options if I get stuck. I imagine you can change these at any time?
Did you do this on the remastered version on the ps5?
There is a glitch you can do where you can just put all the tweaks on , stuff like infinite ammo, one shot kill, infinite materials
how
Rat king tip: Dont use any explosives or fire related weapons as Abby, or high caliber. Save all your powerful weapons for him. Stealth the rest of the way
Great tips. This is how I play Abby
Thanks!
I've just finished the normal Grounded+ game and this came in my recommendation... Nice
But at least I can say I played it Properly
On my grounded+ playthrough now, love the ai on this difficulty
Did u get the trophy on grounded plus?
Amazing! Can’t express how much this video helped me
I have also learned (not personally confirmed yet, but confirmed by others recently) that as long as you get to the “Seattle day, one” chapter title screen:
Quit the game (you cannot manually, save and grounded, but it will have auto saved at that point)
Go to the main menu and navigate to where you can play an “encounter” - there should be only 2 choices if you just started Seattle day 1, chose any difficulty that ISN'T grounded.
Well did it work?
@@MrLoverman7134 Oh yeah!! ruclips.net/user/liver1G5CRPG8Ps?si=TJh5Tqt7Gs8hc58N&t=4184
The next thing you can and should do is go through the extras tab on the menu and then "game modifiers" and get the "unlimited craftables and ammo 1 hit melee attacks and 1 shot deaths. This will allow you to survive longer and not need to worry about picking up items while playing
Those are disabled on grounded
I love the game and have Ellie and Abby and their weapons max and these are great tips but I don’t think I will use them.
Yoda: "Your weapons, you will not need them."
Game is nice. I will try this. Hope it works in the remastered version. Im playing a run on normal mode but do have a thing for when games will let you bullshit your way through them like subnaticas in game cheats menu. But i do got to say i will be only using these for grounded and will be doing all the collectibles on normal.
Dude, you know one thing or two.... that's such a good video. Thx ^^
I might actually have fun on grounded, now lmao
Did you get the platinum trophy with this?
There's an exploit that acutally allows you to play Grounded difficulty with cheats on. It was so nice to kill everyone on one hit, including the Rat king boss.. Had the trophy done in 4 hours.
Thank you bro for helping me i really used your advice and so far everything is fine
Grounded plus on first game doesnt get any harder idk about second game tho. I just played grounded and grounded plus and its exactly the same

I always turn invisible while prone on in the Ellie boss fight against Abby because it makes me way too nervous 😅
After playing grounded mode on my ps4... I made up my mind to go on a naughty dog killing spree.... u just saved me from my own mind...
why am i seeing this after i’ve already cried like 20 times bc i couldn’t finish a fight on grounded😭
I wish I had this 8 months ago, when I did it. Thank you for lettig other people beat the game on grounded.
I know I’m a year late, but this will really help me. Thank you :)
Very Helpful... Time to put this to the test.

did it pop ?
I got the trophy on Grounded+ with “Game modification”. I enabled Infinite ammo and crafting with sun glitch. I’ll do another grounded game but without the cheats this time.
Do you remember when the trophy popped?
Edit: I got it a while ago, the trophy pops as soon as the credits are over and yes you can skip them and get the trophy
after finishing the game, and after the credits, when you load up in the starting screen/the boat is when i got it

Very useful.
I like challenges, what I don't like is doing the same fight 40 times (not ironically) just because you got headshot just because you missed that last arrow after spending 15 minutes trying to stealthily kill enemies.
The first run must be played on Very Easy to enjoy the story, get upgrades and all the collectibles. Grounded must be left for the second run onwards.
