Think you misread Chaos Defiler. You choose among the potential targets. So you get 1 of 3 permanents of your choice, but the final target is chosen at random from among those. It's unlikely that there will be a dud from among those.
Pretty weird that the big Horus Heresy saga doesn’t let you actually steal legendary creatures. Even without reading the wiki about the event, it seemed like it was about major figures being turned against eachother so restricting it seems kinda lame even if it means avoiding the feels bad. It’s war… hammer. Let people make eachother salty. Everything goes, right?
@@meatwad7133 There are ones that can do that for less mana, hell Tvesh Szat can do that, does take a turn longer but can steal them from the command zone as well...
I think you missread Chaos Defiler. You don't choose a random nonland permanent for each opponent at random, you choose a permanent per opponent and take one of those chosen ones out. So if you have 3 opponents, you choose the most threatening thing from each of their boards, and it destroys 1 of the 3.
forreal your voice is so pleasant to listen to i keep losing focus and not actually listening to what your saying about the cards lmao thank you for unintentional asmr
I've notived that almost all of you don't understand the lore of warhammer so why not make a Commander clash if they all release the decks on mtgo, each player researches the cards in the deck and talks abort the cards when they play them otb, would be a fun episode where you could talk abort warhammer
Great cards in this deck but a confused combination of demons, cascade, instant/sorceries matter with tokens, stealing stuff and aristocrats. What with being chaos it makes sense (ok badly put) and lore wise because they mixed in all four of the demon types but it’s a bit of a mess. I can see ramp being a big problem as well. The tyranid one doesn’t have as many good cards but is far more cohesive! This one though is full of goodies to pull out for various different decks. I for one will be filling my Rakdos LORs deck with goodies. Omg Bloodthirster!!! I feel bad about mixing futuristic cards with fantasy ones but…they’re so cool that I’ll get over it - which was clearly Wizard’s intentions (damn them to the void)!
No, it says “any number of target creatures controlled by different players” so each creature exiled would have to be from a different player. Lagrella the magpie had similar (or same I don’t remember) wording and it tripped people up there too.
@@poiri then why does it say any number from different players rather than one from each opponent? Seems like a mess up in the wording or the op is correct and you can get all
@@robkrieg8301 first off it would be one from each player not each opponent but that's not important for this issue. I don't know why Wotc used this awkward wording but it can only hit one for each player as it can target any number of creatures though it is restricted by each of them needing to be controlled by different people. Look up how Lagrella works if you don't want to take my word for it.
@@poiri i didnt find any rulings on it other than the leaving the battlefield part, it didnt mention the number of players. But ill take your word for it. I just feel like they could have made it so much clearer woth their wording.
The deck doesn't seem to have much of a cohesive theme to it, which while flavorful, definitely hurts it as a starter product for Warhammer bros looking at MTG. If they'd janjed in more cascade and cast from exile payoffs, with fewer deviations from the core theme, I think this deck would have been a home run
the core thing is cascading and casting from exile. everything that deviates from the core theme are just cards you can Cascade into. that's like saying you're running a Prosper that but you're only running impulse draw cards and you're not playing any good cards or any cards that pay off from having treasure. my point is you have to run more cards than just The Core theme. you also aren't taking into account the face Commander makes all of those spells that deviate Cascade.
@@Grimjr7 You couldn't be more wrong. There's an equal amount of demons in this deck, supporting a demon tribal. Demons without ETB effects not supporting Cascade. This is 2 decks that want nothing to do with each other.

This was the one I was most excited for. While cards are cool and theme is great. In terms of functionality, after seeing the other 2. This one seems likes its gonna struggle abit. Too many conflicting strategies, and not enough support for each of them. The other ones, they feel more streamlined and the strategy is very solid and consistent. I get chaos and all but id still like for it have synergies with itself
@@finedecision5639 That's not a theme, Cascade represents Chaos. Smashing 4 decks together may be intended but theme shouldn't trample actual playability.
Horus Heresy feels decent in a creatureless grixis control deck, where you take their stuff and draw a few cards and then the only creatures they get to destroy....are their own. and you get to destroy one more threat. Overall efficient, but niche.
The Tzaangor and Mutalith are not demons because they are not demons in the lore. Tzaangors are mutants that are distantly related to humans, and Mutaliths are their livestock/war engines. They were mutated by Tzeentch, but they are not demonic in origin whatsoever.
Everything Chaos is either demons or demonic corruption... and then you have Tzaangors looking exactly like any other demon, except they're not. Because someone at GW thought it would be funny.
This deck feels so expensive ! Feels like half the cards are in the 5+ mana cost range and the other half costs 4. Or maybe it's just the new cards and the entire remaining of the deck is cost reduction and mana rocks...
In 40k Lore, the reason Sloppity Bagpiper is called Sloppity bagpiper is because he's a Demon of Nurgle. Nurgle's whole deal is death and decay, but also life and joy. When you mash those two things together you get a bunch of happy zombies. Yeah they might be disease ridden bags of rot, but why should that stop you from having a good time?
