Excellent video, like one of the other posters. I have the sib, I enjoy fishing now to put the two together which videos like this are making it less of a daunting prospect 👍🏻 Tight lines 🎣
Hi mate just seen your video, its good! Have you looked into getting a leaf blower? It will inflate your boat in under a minute then just top it up with the 12v pump, just a thought. Also for mine I got some gym handles, clip these onto the ring at the front of the boat and its ten times easier to grab and pull along. They can also be used to hold on when its rough! Just a thought anyway.... cool little setup.
Hi mate! Thanks for the info. Yeah I saw your video about the leaf blower, looks alot faster. I'll deffo try it out. Love your channel by the way! Tight lines 🐟
The air vee floor boats r by far the best iv had a few over the years no way would I ever go back to the Ali floor used to take 25 minute just to do the floor compared to 6mins to do the whole boat with vee floor the trim tabs also help keep the boat more stable and you get better top speed I get 19mph 1 man or 16mph 2man up with a 5hp 4stroke mercury on the river not took it to sea yet
Yep the V floor is great for speed of setup as well as stability and control. Ali floor is perhaps slightly better for internal space and for fishing however. Both good 🙌
@@deannafox3727🤣 people think twice the hp twice the speed don’t work like that change your prop for a higher pitch increases top speed 😁or lower the pitch will increase acceleration but lower the top speed 😁without spending twice the money on a more powerful outboard I’m getting about the same power as a 9hp on a 5hp it’s lighter easier to carry and less hassle
Excellent video of launching but if travelling 2 up on a sib unless you should have 2 kill cords one for you and one for the passenger , if you go over how is the passenger going to start the engine to come get you , at sea the tide might be fast and rowing against a tide to go get a man over board isn’t the best option
@@inflatableangling I have a spare in my fishing box and if anyone is out fishing with me I tell them before we set off , great video of launching shows nee people to sibs what to expect
Hi, it depends on which country you are in, but in the UK, you need a Ship Portable Radio Licence for your VHF Radio. You can also do several different powerboat courses that train you up and provide a licence, but that is not required by law.
Excellent video, straight to the point and you're setting up so much faster than me. One question still, how will you be able to sharp steer with the wheels lifted up? Especially because I have a 3.5hp without reverse so I would need to fully turn the outboard for reverse? Cheers
Hi, thanks for watching! Yes you are right the wheels do slightly restrict the outboards ability to fully steer completely to either side, but to be honest, it's only a very small amount of restricted movement. I've not really had any issues yet. There are other types of wheels that you could choose that gone get in the way at all.
Hi, it really does depend. What are the sea conditions like near you and is portability an important thing. A 9.8 is the next size and weight up, so not so easy to carry or fit in a car. The extra power would be great though and if you have very strong tides etc a 6hp might not be enough.
Hi just found your channel. It's really good!! I'm thinking of buying a boat like this soon. Where did you get your boat from? Im based in Bournemouth diwn in Dorset. How long does 1 tank of fuel last? Thanks for your help. Looking forward to your next video
Hi! thank you :) I got it all from Seamark Nunn in Ipswich. There may be similar places near you? 1 tank lasts for ages! I've done several trips on one tank, the 6hp 4stroke engine is very good on fuel.
Hey mate, thanks so much for this, what wheels do you use on your T32/recommend? The shop I'm getting my Honwave from said only the J-shaped wheels work on the T32IE3 due to the narrow beam. In your case, that doesn't seem true :)
Hi! Thank you for watching! With the newer models of honwave they do not have the big flaps at the back so you do not need the J shape. I've had no issues at all with narrow beam. I'd highly recommend these wheels: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335129636698?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=4ggCt9pMTS-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=xwm7TJHBTSi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Nice vid mate! I just got a similar boat for fishing but now worry about carrying hooks and other sharps on an inflatable. Any tips apart from being careful?
Hi, yeah I'd advise using just single hook rigs so you can easily keep track of where the hooks are at all times. I also use circle hooks now when Bass fishing. They are much less likely to snag on tubes etc. Lastly watch out when bringing spikey fish on board, dont let them flap about.. the spines/spikes can easily cause punctures.
Hi, am looking for my first air deck SIB at the moment. Honwave would be top of my list if it was not for the v-floor as I occasionally stand when fishing. But looking at your vid, with the mat you put in, the floor looks very standable on. Does the v cause a problem for standing or should I be ok? I understand the v-floor is good for rigidity and for plaining more easily. Thanks in advance.
Hey there - nice video, thanks! I’ve got a season of beach launching next year and wondered - were you wearing stocking waders and trainers? Or other shoes? Cheers
Hi, you can use the pump on reverse but I have not needed to do that. I just open all the valves and then start to roll it up bit by bit. I kneel on it as well to force the air out.
Hi. What do you think about size of it- is it enought to go fishing in 2? Not too far away from land- maybe to some wreck, in not high waves (under 0.6m)
Hi, yes I regularly go fishing with another adult onboard. We go around the coast where I live, and the estuary. Check out some of my other videos to see how much space we have.
Hi, I got them from Seamark Nunn in Ipswich, but they are the same as these: ibsparts.co.uk/product/stainless-up-and-over-launching-wheels-200kg-capacity/
Hi Graham, I have done that once or twice, but to be honest, there is no need. I find that just rolling it up correctly with the valves open and kneeling on it gets all the air out.
Not totally sure what you mean, but it sounds like the valves are not sealing when you are removing the pump? Make sure there is no sand or debris stuck in there. 👍
Thanks mate, I use these transom wheels: ibsparts.co.uk/product/stainless-up-and-over-launching-wheels-200kg-capacity/ they are quite big, but they fit well on the latest model Honwave t32. My outboard is a new Mariner 6hp 4 stroke short shaft.
Thanks the wheels are just what I’m looking for 👍. I assume the Mariner has more than enough grunt to get you and a passenger on the plane ok ? I noted you were taking quite easy throttle wise in the vid…😃
Yeah the 6hp is brilliant when its just me aboard, easily gets on plane. Its a bit slower going when 2 or more aboard, or when going against a strong tidal pull.
Hi, it depends on what fish species you are after. For smoothhounds and tope etc, you will need something strong, but for bass and smaller stuff just a light spinning rod is ideal.
Hi John, it's a Meridian Zero VHP 12V 120psi dual stage SUP pump. It works well as long as your car engine is running so it can operate at full power. Was a decent price as well.
