What if Weyland Yutani's motivation to exploit the Xenomorphs stemmed from the early encounters of the Predators. Knowing that Mankind would not stand a chance against such a species should it choose to invade. The only creature seen to stand toe to toe with the Predators was the Xeno, making their domestication and use for military application essential to counter any hostile alien attack.
Ah yes, the deadly Yautja, who are winless against all sorts of humans: former spec ops, a cop, a teenage native American. Not really the existential threat. And I forget which comic it was that elaborated, but they Yautja consider humans more dangerous than xenomorphs (not that Weyland would have had that part of info, though).
The only problem with this is that the yautja as species have very low population numbers compared to the human race and the fact that not all yautja clans see eye to eye. They simply dont have even close to numbers it would take to launch a successful invasion of earth. The human armies would decimate them if they tried.

I highly recommend the 3-4 Aliens novel anthologies written 15+ years ago. They really capture the coldness of the companies that run things and they're solid novella+ length stories.
The one short sighted thing in this universe is the lack of competition for WY. You'd think there would be dozens of other evil mega corporations out there in the movies.
While it is addressed in Alien: Isolation that there *are* competitors to WY, truth is in a government ran market all it takes is one company to start expanding regulations till they're so complex that competition can't pass regulation standards and can't bribe their way out of them. The end result is smaller companies continually getting naenae'd by regulations until one remains, now backed by a government regulatory system likely first lobbied for in an attempt to end WY. Fun economics in the RUclips comments section you didn't think you were getting today eh?
There is no other alien species that is fighting humanity as it is clearly stated by the Weyland-Yutani executives in the movie Aliens that there has never been any other alien species ever discovered. That makes the alien the first discovered alien creature ever, along with the Engineers. So why do the army need so many weapons and bio weapons to fight if there are no alien enemies? Well that is truly the mystery in the alien universe. If I had to take a guess at who the army was fighting with, it would simply be fighting with other humans. Factions or rogue world outposts that don’t want to be run or governed by Earth executives at Welland-Yutani is my best guess.

Im not a big alien cannon guy, love the movies respect the alien, but I love your images of all the different movie science and lore of the company its visually worth it because they are not common images and its adds meat to something i find exciting. as a kid these things were cool if a bit scary, I imagined having leagues of them like I was the king and how they could be used to threaten the bad guys of the world, fighting evil with evil, like the only thing they could understand lol.
I believe it's concept art for one of the films or maybe one of the games, can't be sure. it's not from any of the comics (the art work is too good, most of the comics were quite poorly drawn) though it could be from some art's personal work the comic series does show aliens being used in similar ways as blood hounds but these aliens are usually fitted with big metal harnesses (too keep them from biting) and again the art work in those comics were usually pretty poor by comparison
I used to work there, at the Weyland corporation, until they had an alien impregnate me. No health insurance, no privileges, no apologies, no special health hazard pay.. And that Xenomorph never payed any child support. Just up and left.
He's too worried about if The Matrix is real or not. Weyland and the guy from Bladerunner are power-CEOs. Maybe if Bill Gates wasn't a pussy and killing people with fake vaccines he could maybe count with his success.
6:22 I always wondered how exactly the xenomorphs would be used in a wartime situation. I love that photo too: Guy in photo: Finally! We’re going to tear those bastards to bloody pieces using this xenomorph virtual reality uplink kit by Wayland super conglomo technologies! Girl in photo: Please remind me why I’m here, those fucking things smell weird and they do disgusting things to each other when they think we’re sleeping! Aliens: ( in unison) game over man!
Fun fact: the company is called Weyland (British) Yutani (Japanese) because the US population disliked/hated British and Japanese and the two were often the villain in most Hollywood films.
"Weyland-Yutani should be allowed to sacrifice innocent human lives developing a bioweapon they can't control If it's profitable. Nobody has the right to get in the way of their reckless pursuit of financial gain." - Space Libertarians.
Wrong, you know nothing about libertarians. First libertarians love private property especially thier own bodies and would never want it damaged or killed. Its called the non-aggression principle, it say we don't hurt people or break thier stuff. Second, who funds weapons development? Corperations dont do shit for free. If they wanted a bioweapon its because the government wanted one and would be willing to pay for it. Third, deploying bioweapons lowers property values in general and libertarians oppose that much the same as they view polution. Libertarians wouldn't mind it if the corperation wanted to study the organism on say a privately owned research facility on an uninhabited celestial body perhaps a moon around a Jupiter like planet some lightyears away. Libertaianism isn't a suicide pact.
irllcd13 - why even bring up political discourse if you don't have a reasoned argument beyond generalizations and poor hypotheticals? Are we not all nerds here my brothers and sisters, here to geek out on the Alien universe?
Honestly? Because I enjoy triggereing libertarians. It's so pathetically easy. All you have to do is point out the fact that capitalism is not perfect and they all get their panties in a twist.
Awesome video! Very well narrated, and explanatory of necessary knowledge of the story. Xenomorph XX121 is one of the most horrific alien creatures ever thought of. Made the Predator look more like an action star than a monster. But seriously though, the only alien more scarier is, THE THING! Always wondered what would happen if THE THING, ever tangled with Xenomorph XX121. That would sure be some kind of Monster Showdown....
Hey Charles, thank you for your kind words :) I agree the xenomorphs are terrifying compared the predator! I think if The thing and the aliens had a fight, the thing would assimilate the xenomoprh. I'm curious to hear what you think would happen champ?
How awesome would it be if the Halo and Alien franchises were in the same universe? I think it could work, like if you agree, not because i want likes but because i want to see if my idea is stupid or meh.
SuperDuperParatrooper Not really, it is a bit of a stretch, but the flood are absolutely terrifying and they are in halo. In fact, the flood have scared me in Halo games more times than Aliens have in the Alien films.
Tim-Tam but it's a way better idea for an alien horror and it matches with the halo universe, as a matter of fact they're why there are halo rings basically. The xenos are just to weird to fit in with the universe of halo
SuperDuperParatrooper Yeah, but i think something similar to them could work, but not in the main story line. Maybe just a comic or book or something, i don't know.

@@filmcomicsexplainedsong?
Damn your channel really blowing up congrats
Yeh I know Xavier! Its crazy!!
Well damn, I thought Wal-Mart bought out W-Y?
i like that u actually reply to your commenters, it makes me happy to see u care 😎
I most certainly do care :) But it is getting harder to respond to everyone!
@@filmcomicsexplained Try writing your own work instead of simply reading what others have written. It's called plagiarism!
Great video... very informative
Thanks Mohammed! :)
Evil mega corporation science fiction?!
Amazon: hold my stock!
This is an awesome video never knd w you exsisted I'm subbing keep up cool videos!
Awesome Rob! Great to hear :)
7:42 you have the cidatel from mass effect in your alien vid 😑
Weyland-Yutani: shell front used by pro-human splinter group known as Cerberus.
Good vid . Thanks man. subbed.
Wow wow that picture at 6:30 what is that from!
+Richard Valdes - Rasmussen want to know too!
Richard Valdes - Rasmussen The comic series, I'm pretty sure.
I think it was concept art for Alien 5 that Neil Blomkamp was supposed to direct, unfortunately I think it's cancelled now.
I believe it's concept art for one of the films or maybe one of the games, can't be sure. it's not from any of the comics (the art work is too good, most of the comics were quite poorly drawn) though it could be from some art's personal work
the comic series does show aliens being used in similar ways as blood hounds but these aliens are usually fitted with big metal harnesses (too keep them from biting) and again the art work in those comics were usually pretty poor by comparison
ummm no thats the concept art for concept art for Alien 5 that Neil Blomkamp was supposed to do before it got cancelled. Just making stuff up huh? lol
I used to work there, at the Weyland corporation, until they had an alien impregnate me. No health insurance, no privileges, no apologies, no special health hazard pay.. And that Xenomorph never payed any child support. Just up and left.
"Humans were frequently used as unwilling hosts for the Xenos" You mean there were no volunteers?
EXCELLENT Break-down My Friend
Thanks Eric!
I love that WY is just as scary as the Xenomorphs
It would be so frigging awesome, if that kind of technology would be available for humankind.
Elon Musk = Peter Weyland's modern equivalent.
Hey Dave, I was thinking the exact same thing this past week. So weird haha
FilmComicsExplained I'm surprised you didn't mention it haha
Strikes me as more of a Yutani
He's too worried about if The Matrix is real or not. Weyland and the guy from Bladerunner are power-CEOs. Maybe if Bill Gates wasn't a pussy and killing people with fake vaccines he could maybe count with his success.
Jairou Kagiri
Fake vaccines😒 .. 😞
Great job man! I think they are the coolest fictional company ever created.
I would like a job in this company 😂
Awesome!!
Why was there an image of the Citidel from Mass Effect?
SUBSCRIBED!!!
I thought they were bought out by WalMart?
Strange to think that Apple will change its name in the future to Weyland
Your intro is way to long
Your attention span is way to short.
Mark Grehan ....you're that guy aren't you?
Anybody know the intro song??
Rese Nese too
I love the intro
I don’t know how, but I read the title as Dunder Mifflin Corp and it made me spit out my drink imagining Dwight in that suit…
I need power
Awesome video
6:22 I always wondered how exactly the xenomorphs would be used in a wartime situation. I love that photo too:
Guy in photo: Finally!
HTC Vive, ladies and gentlemen.
This Channel = AWESOMENES!
THIS CHANNEL PLAGIARIZES!
Fun fact: the company is called Weyland (British) Yutani (Japanese) because the US population disliked/hated British and Japanese and the two were often the villain in most Hollywood films.
Fun fact? More like blatant lie
This channel is great.
No, actually I'm completely right. You're just mad that your ideology is counter to all logic, ethics and morals.
Top argumentation and nice point you got there wow
irllcd13 - why even bring up political discourse if you don't have a reasoned argument beyond generalizations and poor hypotheticals? Are we not all nerds here my brothers and sisters, here to geek out on the Alien universe?
Honestly? Because I enjoy triggereing libertarians. It's so pathetically easy. All you have to do is point out the fact that capitalism is not perfect and they all get their panties in a twist.
Thanks, filled in a number of questions I had bout WY.
Brilliant! Thats what I love to hear :)
You Brit's & your cool voices making everything sound so cool! I hate you! Just kidding, great vid!
I'm actually Australian haha
Oh wow! lol You should do voice overs.
Hey Tim-tam! yeh of course that would be awesome champ :)
Tim-Tam honestly alien is too "horror" for halo
Man the intro music is so cool !
Awaiting acknowledgement....
hey good job its been some time since iv been on your channel but you had around 50k maybe? well whenever you making ur first mortal kombat videos...scorpion especially...now u have 900k views and 600k subscribers good job man keep it up!!!
I told people this should be developed as a stand-alone series. C'mon Netflix, get it crackin'!
Excellent!
Thumbnail looks tight. Hope to see it on the movie screen one day.
I want a Weyland-Yutani Corporation T-shirt! "Building Better Worlds"
