      @@yojan69I'm not the person who made the original comment obviously. However, for me, Pierrick's "The Art of Effective Rigging" course was the starting point for me as an animator - it allowed me to animate the characters I myself wanted, not only what was available through free rigs. I'm currently applying for internships with different game companies as a final "assignment" from my school, and I've gotten great response so far. Definitely seems to be a huge plus to not only be able to animate, but rig as well. I haven't finished Pierrick's "Alive!" Course yet, but I'd definitely recommend buying that one as well based on the experience so far.

    Your breakdown of the creative process is impeccable! Thank you so much for this. It answered all my questions of how to apply the theory I learned in "Animator's Survival Kit" to Blender. I was hesitant to do all the squish and stretch things, because I don't really know how to rig stuff for that etc. but I'm looking forward to all the exciting and neat challenges this presents now, not shunning away from them.

    I subscribe to Aaron Blaise's channel as well. He posts amazing videos. One of the voice actors on the cartoon series we're dubbing noticed the extreme stretch on one of the characters she was recording. I explained to her that it makes up for the lack of motion blur, and that this series in particular really pushes the squash-and-stretch. Some of the frames mid-motion are very funny and add so much dynamism to the movements, but they go by so fast the audience isn't consciously aware of them.

    • @WaterShowsProd

      "Kiko" by MNC Animation in Indonesia. We're dubbing Season 2 for Netflix now. Season 1 was dubbed by another team in another studio, so I don't know how the animation of those episodes compares. Season 2 aired in Indonesia 2017-2018, so I'm curious to see how the animation in Season 3, which we will be doing next, has progressed.

    Awesome video Pierrick. I have a question about frame rate for game animation, why not animate at 60 fps?

    • @PierrickPicaut_P2DESIGN
      @PierrickPicaut_P2DESIGN 2 года назад +1

      Way too much frame to take care of. It's way easier to animate à 30
      And.... useless at 60 since the computer will interpolate between your frames from 30 to 60.
