If it cant hang with the Iron Sheik, Jake the Snake Roberts, The Four Horsemen or The Road Warriors--- then it didnt deserve to be on here....

I always wondered why they left the then WWF after only 2 or 3 months. When Terry left & signed with Pro Wrestling USA, his intro-interview he sounded very bitter mentioning "this isn't MTV etc... Wonder what really happened
Terry had worked many nights with the stiff JYD, and he saw a sign for a straight flight to Amarillo, TX, and he said "Jimmy, I can't take it anymore, I'm going home." That was according to HTM, and Lanny Poffo on a shoot. An even funnier part I heard from Funk himself on a shoot was when once quitting Vince he left him a note that said he had to go home to the Double Cross Ranch as he had a sick horse. Terry, said years later when ever he would see Vince Jr., he would say to Terry "How's your sick horse Pal?"
I also remember Hearing that Terry was leaving a TV taping in Poughkeepsie, NY & had to be in Toronto the following night but instead went to East Rutherford, NJ & Verne hired him on the spot for Pro Wrestling USA while Dory remained with Vince (WWF) for another few weeks
Terry Funk was dumped into an endless matches with the Junkyard Dog. He put him over night after night for nine months (August 1985-April 1986) until Funk finally had enough and just quit. I think he kind of figured out that they had no plans for him beyond him putting JYD over and making him (JYD) look good every night. JYD couldn't really wrestle and had given up even trying by that point.
