Nice! Very informative. Personally, I think Cyborg is my preferred. The way we can set the analog stick is fantastic (And it was very well explained by you)! Hope it keeps it's solidness with time. Also, Cyborg comes with a screwdriver... I'm hyped!
To those who don’t have Azeron, you should have it because its a game changer not only for Gaming but for everything you do in PC specially when combined with REWASD software.
@@acejimbo6119 much more powerful macro options. You can also have multiple layers/sets of assignments and swap between them with a button press. You can also use ReWASD to combine multiple devices into one "virtual controller" that includes inputs from all of them (like azeron + mouse), so if you have a game that is poorly designed for handling multi-device input, you can make it look like it's all a single control device.
Awsome Vid. New users to the Azeron. . . just make sure that you give yourself plenty of time to get accustomed to the feel of this Controller. I mean like a good 3 to 4 weeks! It will be frustrating at the very beginning, but many times new things are like that. I have used a Razer Tartarus V2 and the Orbweaver Chroma for many years, but the Cyborg blows them away! Now having 360 turning with the Joystick Keyboard is fantastic!
I have used the Logitech G13 for about 14 years now. Had been looking for a replacement for years since it isn't the most comfortable but is still better than the Razer alternatives, in my opinion. I did end up buying the Azeron Classic a few years back before the release of this new one but just couldn't get used to claw gripping it. I think this new one kind of solved that problem now, so I'm looking forward to ordering this new one as soon as I'm able.
This is absolutely true. This has a LONG adjustment period for most folks. Once you do get used to it though, it is amazing. And then using it for new games becomes super quick.
I have been using a classic for a few years now and will get a cyborg shortly. Can I just say, for us Left handed gamers these are a godsend. I tried all sorts of left handed alternatives to keyboard but nothing really worked well until Azeron came along.
@@PickemMMA Perssonal preference really but I went for the cyborg as it has more adjustments, more buttons and removeable usb lead. You can customise colours too on the website for either model.
I think the design is spot on. Just curious, and plans to make more metal reinforced version?. Yes would make it heavier, but could also increase over all durability.
I have the classic. I had 2 major gripes that look like they fixed. The sideways tilting on the towers is huge. My fingers are not straight in line with the towers on mine. It also looks like there's been an update to the whole joystick itself. I have a previous version even to this guy's classic that has a different joystick. His joystick looks like my xbone controller's joystick. The spacer is also pretty neat. I think I'm sold on upgrading to the new version here soon after some more reviews drop and the "elite" thumbstick situation gets rectified.
Is the version with the extra "5-way switch" for the thumb an often used feature? Without, there is more room for adjustment. I'm not sure about the thumb options... Next generation in >wireless< and I buy two for each hand and kick out my normal keyboard!
The 5-way switch I'd say is useful when you're playing a game where key movement (i.e. Doom, Quake) is more critical than thumbstick movement (Halo, any driving game, etc.)
@CTA - tech desk , How do you find hitting the overhead buttons with your ring finger and small pinky finger ? Personally, if i try to raise my ring finger independently ,other fingers will move ,possibly hitting unwanted keys
Very cool. I bought the Classic a few years ago but just couldn't get used to it, so I went back to my old Logitech G13. Just couldn't get used to claw gripping that thing, but I'm definitely ordering this newer version.
I am looking for this but I also seen bad reviews. What is the review in 2024? Should one get this or not? All the reviews are either 2 years old. Does the clicks las long or start breaking down with double click on the buttons?
I kinda regret buying the compact over the cyborg. The cyborgs thumbstick adjustment is needed. Also make sure you buy the restrictor ring if you order a compact. the shipping is expensive if you decide you want it later. Also I found the flat palm rest to be the better option for me personally. the curved does feel good but while using the thumbstick its not right for me the flat allows me to position my hand better for it.
Dude I just bought the compact to find out 10 mins after this one is new and just came out. But Amazon already charged me and I thought they didn’t till it shipped. So ig I’m using the compact. What are restrictor rings
@Ace Anime I love my compact. Im still horrible with a mouse for aiming but I think it’s great. I have the cyborg ordered but there’s a wait for it. I only got the cyborg Bc it’s adjusts even more than the compact.
Would you recommend the curved of flat palm rest? I like the look of the ergonomics on the curved but I'm not sure how it would feel being locked into one position in real world usage. I plan on using this for work so most likely 6ish hours a day with a few breaks here and there.
One thing to note is the buttons on the pinky rail doesnt slide back all the way(Cyborg). The black part behind the button wont allow it to slide all the way back. .
For the thumbstick in games where you need to have it mapped as WASD rather than as a real stick, how is it? Does it move smoothly? Like if you were moving forward and then moved diagonally or sideways how much do you have to move the stick for it to register the other key?
I have used a PS4 controller doing just that, mapping it to wasd in Steam games for years, and it works flawlessly. This uses the x-box thumbstick, so it will be functionally the same. I use the WASD mappings as certain games are hindered when it detects a controller, so I trick it. I was a controller left hand, mouse right hand player for the last 4 years, and now I am getting this as it is exactly what I would envision for that...
It works perfectly with WASD, which is the only way I’ve been using my classic. The diagonal running just works automatically out of the box, if you move it in a diagonal upper left motion it will just automatically be clicking W-A simultaneously. It was wayyyy more seamless than I thought it would be.
Can it tighten more it looks very wobbly and loose in which one would think it would make it flimsy and more acceptable to breaking. Sorry for my spelling, most likely more than one or two misspellings in there.
@@CTAtechdesk My concern is the durability of the buttons, no finish on the print ( it's printed with no further work to take off imperfections in manufacturing process), only works on limited games that allow a controller and mouse at a premium uncompetitive price for a product still in development. Don't get me wrong. I want one but if I'm going to pay for top of the line equipment then it better have reached the end of development, have a professional finish and be extremely durable. I mean the idea of having this type of keypad is very innovative in itself, they need to build these with more quality material, it looks like a bunch of Chinese kids made these shits in a sweat shop 😂😂☠️💯
Removing it makes it more difficult to reach the thumbstick as it’s raised up due to the new mechanism. I would suggest 99% of people will leave it in making it higher. Worth pointing out as it is a clear difference.
