About keymapping While yes, it takes time to get used to and you might be worried. Using the Thumpstick to move WASD in games like Overwatch, Deep Rock Galatic, Guild Wars 2 or Killing floor 2 works amazingly well. Some games allow you to use the thumpstick as it is while others require using WASD and both work well. I would recommend getting used to that, as that frees your other fingers to do other stuff much easier. Notice I didn't say CS.GO and the reason is I my self believe the keyboard A D A D is more important but games like Overwatch having easy access to crouch, jump and abilities is more important ;) like doing Mercy super jump is easier. for Guild Wars 2 I'm also using thumpstick to move and this would work for more MMORPG games. I have jump and dodge on my mouse but something like FFXIV I would bound jump and Shift to my mouse and use shift + 1 with 1 ~ there are 14 easy to access buttons with 8 extra buttons easily accessed. That means with Shift you have 28 easy to access buttons with 16 extra buttons with the thump buttons (smoll d-bad and the button as well thumpstick press) for Overwatch I had pinkie as jump, ring finger as crouch, middle finger as shift ability and index finger as e ability. Those were the most important keybinds for me :D I have yet to try Civilisation type games or Banished or X-com or Age of Embires 2... because I'm lot in GW2 :D Here is my layout for GW2 Upper: mount / Run / Stow Weapon / Weapon swap Push: 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 Press: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 0 Pull: F1 / F2 / F3 / F4 Pull upper: Target enemy / Target ally / Mark target / F5 Thump I have some options I use as well WASD and F for loot in the extra button Mouse Jump / Dodge and I always hold right click using quick cast with indicators so I hold button aim and release to cast. This has worked amazingly well but has one Flaw. Revenant uses F1 and Weapon Swap constantly so that can mess your brain a lot. Having F1 and Weapon Swap closer to each other would help on that specific profession. Also some professions like Mirage require you to press the number 1 auto-attack to activate the ability, this is why I bounded 1, originally it was weapon swap. The layout is more universal than specialized for one profession ;) if I played only one character I might chance this B U T this layout favors Elementalist, Waver and Tempest :D the new Catalyst has F5 which causes you to accidentally press F4 when you start using this xD had this fun experience with Mechanist who stows the Mech away with F4 and it has no F5, habits from other professions like Holosmith has F5 I think only Warrior and Berserker have F1 as only F ability and rest have F1 F2 or more upwards of F7 Untamed For Deep Rock Galatic I accidentally bounded shooting and mining xD that was hilarious after I realised I CAN USE Mouse 1 and Mouse 2!!! TL;DR: I think ANY review should always talk about how the Thumpstick feels when using it as WASD to move ;) rest was just random stuff that might interest someone.
Ive always used the razer keymats, nostromo, tartarus and currently orbweaver (my fave) a friend of mine bought this, and i had a go, i found it to hurt my finger more than a normal keyboard. I had to constantly elevate my fingers in case i accidently pressed one of the keys. The highest buttons are hard to press without accidentally pressing the buttons underneath them andThe lack of an upwards facing space bar was a downer but the analogue stick was good (better than the digital stick on razer keymats.) Maybe i needed nore time with it But my ultimate keymat would be the orbweaver with a analogue thumbstick. As i use the thimbstick for pitch and roll in helis and jets in Battlefield. And the digital stick just isnt that good for that. Nice review!!
Once you adjust it specifically to your hand you don't have to worry about accidentally hitting buttons. I was misclicking constantly when I first got mine but now it almost never happens to me after just a couple months.
I hope you do a follow up on its durability after just a few months. I like the idea but worry about built quality in the long run. And for that price tag I def want it to last
@@DRSKINGDAVID I haven't got it yet, it's coming in march. J ordered after Christmas with the money I got and it'll come in march. Loads of people heard about it recently and the company hasn't suddenly grown any bigger so they have shortages.
This is the most detailed video review I've found so far. Thanks! I think I'm going to have to get one for playing Quake. Do you think a touch typist could use two of these (left- and right-handed versions) to type? I wonder what a good alternative to the space bar would be for the thumbs.
I've owned my Cyborg for about 3 months now and there was definitely a learning curve it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I started off using it in games that I'm really comfortable with and started moving onto new games with it including playing Elden Ring with it for the last couple day. I'm actually thinking about buying a second one so I can have one for my right hand and just drop the mouse as well, I'm only using a controller for 2D games for the most part now. I certainly think you could use them to completely replace your keyboard for typing if that's what you want, just make sure to put the buttons in places that make sense to you and I'd recommend the button the the side of the index finger for the space bar.
I Own one of these & they're are great, but the software is so lacking that it's useless you can even use the joystick as a mouse....! But there is a solution! Pay for "reWASD" It does everything the software for this device should have done & add toons of features (the one's you need & don't know you need yet & more), get the full version or reWASD or it won't work right, even if it isn't obvious from the outset & it's cheaper than having to pay for each part of the software separately over time. Only other problem I have, is surprisingly the Lack of Buttons, It's great, but there is just a few to few to have one of your profile (Pro Tip ;use reWASD profile's instead of Azeron profiles...) dedicated as a keyboard. But you could get 2 of them & replace your keyboard & mouse, I would recommend this for people with disabilities or alot of money, it would be so handy, to be able to have your hands anywhere instead of on a desk, the speed and comfort would be unmatched, after getting used to it.
Every review I've watched says the Tartarus is good, but the joystick piece on the side is more like a D Pad with a dish on the top for your thumb to grip. Obviously the Razer is way cheaper than this, but all comparisons I've seen say the Azeron is much more worth it, due to the sheer amount of customization and potential that you can unlock with it, comparatively. Mine arrives this weekend!
I have one of these, I love it. Great for anyone moving from controller to m&kb
Is the analog stick full directional like a xbox psn controller?

It certainly takes some getting used to. Moving the parts about helps with comfort.
Yeah i use orbweaver as well for mmo and moba and in therr the joystick is for camera moovement.
You can adjust every single finger in the azeron, also there is the compact version, check that one to.
