Thanks for this video. I’m getting a 5*12. The way you have yours mounted is what I will do. The only difference is I put a box on my pick up truck. I unloaded simply by buying one of those truck bed unloaders that you hand crank off. I can unload my truck in a matter of a minute. Works great for me. It’s nice to see you that the hose will fit underneath the railing of the trailer. That will be great. I really don’t want to mount it on the tongue of the trailer.

Thanks for taking the time to watch my video. This setup works pretty well, especially when working by yourself. Before I put all this together, I did use the load handler to unload the trailer. It worked fine for wood and rocks but it didn't work well for me, unloading leaves. I did have a short wall attached to the load handler but I still couldn't get it to work.
Let me know if you've had a success. Unloading leaves with a load hander.

Hey John, I've read that with these kinds of setups having an open tarp on top greatly reduces the compaction of the leaves compared to a closed box. I'm going to be doing the same setup as you for this season but with a fully enclosed plywood box for maximum compaction.

In my area I've never seen anybody with a solid roof on their loader setup. Even the biggest things out there still have a mesh tarp on top. I made a video last year watching these guys with a gigantic loader and the guy was on top of the loader box packing it down.
From my experience just driving down the road packs the trailer and when you get to the dump the trailer which was once filled to the top is now half full. Also, this is only a 13 horsepower loader. I imagine if you had a 35 on there it would be way different in terms of how well it packs.
Once you get everything set up, let me know how well the solid top works. Would be interesting to see if it packs better.

@@sololawnprofessional I'll let you know, I have an 18 HP loader that I will be using for the first time this season. The guy I heard this from apparently ran his own landscape company for 35 years this way and swears by it. I will update you with the results if I remember to.

Where are you disposing of your leaves in your region how much is a trailer weigh fully loaded

This is a local recycling place and they have a flat fee to dump So there's no weight in. My estimate for the weight will be 600 to 800 lbs. Based on how much my mower weighs 1000 lbs and I know how the truck feels with the mower on there and the leaf box and everything feels like a weights less.

I’m thinking about going into this in my area. How/ what do you charge customers if I may ask?

Thanks for the video, great setup for a one man op when necessary. Not sure how it all comes together. Would you make another video about the winch part. That was pretty cool just went over my head.
Thanks again great video. Also if you don't mind please, what trailer size do you use for your loader. I'm also looking for a used loader if you know of one
    Thanks

Thanks for watching my video. Here's how you put together the winch setup. My trailer is 5x10 with 4 ft sides. I would recommend a bigger trailer than what I have because they can only work at one property before I have to go and dump it.

Great video. Looks like that trailer can handle one property at a time.
    Maybe 10,000-15,000 sq ft yard???
