Having a handle on there like that one so you don't have to stoop down or bend over makes it well worth it. Those finished yards in the back ground look gorgeous.
I have the same set up with 22hp Gravely . I also have to bring a 2nd truck and trailer for 52”Stander with leaf plow . Finished 75 clean ups in 15 days 2man crew in Massachusetts. Keep up the good work
A few suggestions from someone who has been in this business over 24 years. 1. Don't buy the largest unit ... I use the 13 hp model .. if you are charging by the hour ... you don't want to get done too fast or do you? 2. Take that flap off the inlet which damages the hose but, leave the safety cut-off switch in place. 3. Mount the unit to the front of the dump trailer - fabricate a bracket mount to the trailer frame. That way you can simply dump it quickly without removing the heavy leaf vac each time.
Nice rig ! I just bought the 18 HP Billy Goat vac., ( I wanted to get a larger unit ) but due to California's smog laws, that's the largest Billy Goat unit that can be purchased here.
@@jimbo5635 share.icloud.com/photos/0fTMNg2m8CM2eFmsteZuNbzHw#Gospel_Island But mine is actually the 35hp but it is almost identical, except the 37hp is fuel injected. That was only about 29mph I had a heavy load.
Great video!! Totally get what your saying about leaves being packed with a plow and plugging up the hose on the smaller ones. Wasn’t sure if the big ones did that or not!! 👍🏼
Agree, I would buy some. He would need around 5 acres of flat ground to mix them with a little screened top soil, cow manure, lime and lookout, you'll have some serious cash laying on the ground ! Attention was our aim with this advertisement. It worked out great! Its going to be our clean up staple and will be on our leaf vacuum rig for many years to come. To dump we simply open the doors and press the button. We strategically mounted the loader so we could still dump.
Thank you Larry. Our goal with the sign was to have something people would remember year after year. We have a lot of customers we only do clean ups for, they handle everything else.
Nice setup, If you had a walker mower the 2 large piles you are sucking up would be cut down to about 2-3 yards, much smaller amount of leaves and easier to suck up
I would love to see a video of you dumping the leaves out. I want to see how wide does that door the unit is mounted to open up ? Does it clear the ground pretty good ? What do you use to hold that barn door open when dumping ?
Found out it does shred. You should probably find a place that sells natural fertilizer. I’m pretty sure they would pay or at least let you dump for free at their place. If I had more land I would get me one of these and and some cow poop and coffee grounds and sell high end organic fertilizer. Seems like you could do it if you had a little bit of land.

Awesome job! I have never seen this method before... I'm right outside of Atlanta, Ga... When we leave there isn't hardly a trace of a leaf left...while also not having to worry about dumping leaves once the job is done. The mower also gives the yard that freshly vacuumed look.
Great video. You guys really need to either throw some vests on or get some hi viz clothing when working in the public right of way though. Do the leaves get shredded using the Billy Goat? It seems like you could sell all that to a company instead of taking it to a dump of somewhere. Landfills give off crazy amount of CO2.
Have you looked into the Ventrac with turbo leaf blower?- looks like it would be a nice addition to your business. Anyway awesome rig and quality work.
That is why we upgraded as well. We had a new 18 hp unit prior and it would clog. This one is pretty much impossible to clog unless sticks get stuck in the suction tube
I’d hate to slow dance with this thing for a full day.. esp the size of these piles. I’d have another worker feeding the pile towards the vacuum.. 2 ppl working together are more efficient than 3 ppl working by themselves.
It definitely does wear on you if you would vacuum all day. Tropically only using it for a few minutes here and there. We have had it two years and only put 40 hours on it. That’s doing 100’s of cleanups. So it doesn’t run very long on average per house.
You guys run backpack blowers and mowers with push plows to get all those piles together? I have my own company and next year i would like to get a smaller setup like that going.

the leaf vac is bolted to the right back gate. the gate unlocks in the middle and folds to outsides. Then just lift and dump and shut the gates back.
