    Nick, I really appreciate all you do and especially your focus on forgiveness! I received my order of Vice Pro Plus and want to relay to your viewers that user experience is so subjective and personal. The pro plus has been the firmest ball - by far - that I’ve ever hit! When you hit it pure, it great, otherwise it’s significant feedback on Mishits. I’ve tested them against Pro V1, TP5, Srixzon Z Star, Chrome Tour and, sadly, even though I wanted to love the ball, there’s nothing that stands out for me for my 92 MPH, except most notably, how firm the ball feels to me. I email Vice in the hopes that my recent orders of pro plus’s could be changed to the Air’s. If my request was too late, I will have 2 dozen pro plus to sell for 50% of what I payed.

      Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
      At 92 mph I would definitely recommend the air. I think you will find it much more suiting and both forgiveness and distance.
      I know that sounds like a weird question, but are you sure you ordered the 2024 versions? The only reason I ask is because The Old Pro Plus is way firmer than the newer one. Also, compared to the tp5, the experience for me with the new Pro Plus is that it is way way way softer then the tp5.
      However you are correct, it is all personal experience, it's also the club you use and so forth.
      Thank you so much for always watching and commenting. It means a lot to me 😃

      @@GolfBallAddict Yes, I should have stated in my original comment that all balls I discussed are the most current models, Ie. the new 2024 Pro Plus, the newest versions of the TP5 and TP5X, the Z Star, Chrome Tour and Pro V1 and Pro V1x (which are 2023). Many years ago I got to 4.9 HCP and after being away from the game for many years, have the 'fever again' to play this year. I simply wanted to relay to others that I think it will appeal to higher Swing Speeds, and those that prefer a firmer feeling ball than the ones I've mentioned. Closest I compare it to was the Chrome Soft X. But again, ball preference is so individual. I will be trying the Pro Airs. Nick, great channel - keep doing what you do!

    I’ve gamed the Vice pro plus for a few rounds now, 54 years old 106 mph with the driver these balls are long right up with the left dash ProVx and the tp5x the Vice has a firmer feel than both of those that being said for me personally I like the firm feel especially off the putter , great golf ball!

    Played this ball some on Saturday. Solid ball. Plays long, spins well, launch good and putts nice. Very similar to all the other X or firmest level balls out there. If you are a VX or TP5X player you will probably like these.

    Great review Mr. Moody! I would love to try this ball, but my driver swing speed is at like 88 to 92 mph. I am having good results with the Snell Prime, so I'll probably just stick with it for this summer. Thanks again for the great vids.

    I just played a round with this ball yesterday. It was the first 18 I've played without losing a ball! I have a pretty average driver speed (never tested it but I'd have to say 80-95). This thing just wanted to go straight, I'd say 90% of them went straight! But also for my short irons and wedges had enough spin and it gripped the green well so it was stopping very quickly which is what I was looking for! I've only used these balls once but I'm fairly certain I'm hooked! And I got them for $33 at target, can't beat it! Thanks for all the videos helping find the right ball for me!

    Well, you just put a fly in the ointment or a cat amongst the pigeons. I still have 4 dozen of the previous Pro Plus with my personal logo (lime green with a black smoking cigar). I don't lose many golf balls so it is hard to go through that many, but I am SO excited to try the new ones. According to Vice they do everything just a little better, and according to you...A LOT better. Another thing about Vice is that it took me a while to design a green ball (you can only have a black design and it needs to meet their upload requirements), but now that I have, they keep my logo on file and anytime I reorder they send me the ball with my logo just to check and then it goes to print. I have a 105+ driver swing speed and am a 5 handicap, I have tried numerous balls (even the "best balls on the planet") and nothing works as well for me as the Pro Plus.

      That's awesome. I love that you use personalization for your golf balls.
      Honestly if you use the vice Pro Plus already, I think you're going to love the new one even more. It might be a slow burn, but just keep using what you're comfortable with and when you run out the new model will be warm and ready for you 😀

    I'm around 95mph and 8 hcp, and have found the previous versions of Pro Plus to be much better for my game than all of Vice's other balls. To me the rest of their balls are meh, but the Plus is special and I found much of what you are saying in this review to be with the old version. I think they go another 10 -15 yards further than the Pro. I have also noticed that my dispersion is really good with these balls and I haven't really noticed issues with forgiveness. I think this ball is much more forgiving than Prov1x it will be nice to see how the new version feels.
    I will have my eye out for the new Vice Pro Plus for sure. Nice review. I like to hear about forgiveness and dispersion. They are actually the most important features I look for in a golf ball. The Plus is in my top 3 with the Straighfli and the Wilson Triad.

    I absolutely love the Pro Plus, especially in the orange and yellow, BUT, I do find that particular one scuffs VERY easy. I can play 2 rounds with one ball and at the end it looks beat. The drip models, not so much. I like the bright ones, well, because they are cool as hell, and also, easy to find as they stand out like a sore thumb, usually. Point being, they scuff pretty quickly. Dont know how it affects performance, but I’m guessing at a single digit handicap, not that much.
    Thanks for this video. I just bought 2 boxes of the ‘24 balls. Looking forward to trying them vs the ‘23 balls

      Maybe try a sleeve or two ball sample pack. I swing 98-102 MPH. Normally play ProV1. X when it is super hot out. The Pro Plus is a great ball. Hit it on Saturday. The ball is really firm. And I play forged Mizuno irons. You will notice that more from the Soft-feel to PP. Just an idea so you know there is a big firmness difference coming.

    Wow, I never heard about the Vice Ball!
    Used to be a good player but now at 70 after knee surgeries, back at playing after 10 months.
    I just bought several dozen of various Wilson balls. Not bad.
    However, I found a Callaway Chrome Soft last week and I’m super impressed. I drove one of short Pat 4’s here on the Oregon Coast. Feeling that ball off the face of the new Srixon driver felt like a balata. Pin high actually.
    Only thing is, I wasn’t sure if it was the old Callaway or the new one. Hmmm….
    Anyway, great work you’re doing. Keep up the honest reviews. Rare these days!

    This sounded so impressive that I ordered a box to try. My speeds are about the same as yours so I thought if it worked for you, it should work for me. Got them an hour ago and tested them (on a Mevo+ launch monitor). Compared the Pro Plus to all the other big name balls I had in my bag and nothing came close! With the 7-iron, I was going from mid-140's carry to high 150's and with the driver, I went from about 225 carry to almost 240 on my best shots. Huge difference! Thanks for the review, this could take my game to another level.

      Well I couldn't wait to try these out. I ordered them and they arrived just in time for me to tee off this morning. All I can say is WOW. Your review was spot on. The ball was exploding of my club like no other ball I've ever used before. The feel was absolutely amazing. Short shots, driver, long irons, putter I mean everything was amazing. My friends couldn't believe how much further my drives were and I was consistently hitting my long irons within 10 feet. I only improved as the round went on because of the confidence of using this ball grew. I did lose the first drive of the day but just barely into the woods. I'll take that as just not getting any swings in before I arrived at the course. After that I never lost a ball and the ball looked phenomenal after the round.
      Your praise of this ball is completely justified. I was so impressed I'm not even going to use the Sugar balls I received just a few weeks earlier. I've found my golf ball and I'm not going to use another this season. I shot the best round of my life today and it's completely due to this ball and your review of it. So a Big thank you to you good sir for introducing me to this ball. I'm looking forward to some more great golf this season. Thanks again!!!

    Great ball, great review! I’m still surprised that most manufactures do not make sure their balls leave the factory “balanced” like Maxfli! Or maybe the Triad design or Velocity tour two piece dimple design or Maxfli Straightfli dimple design.
    Can you juxtapose the carry distance and run out on the course? It seems it should roll out farther on most of the balls you have tested with the new device?

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  2 месяца назад +1

      I don't mind testing that. I will say that the numbers make much more sense with this launch monitor then with the last. The last launch monitor would say 125 carry 133 total distance with a 9-iron. I know for a fact most of the time my nine iron just sticks right where it lands and backs up a little. But I definitely don't mind looking for any disparities

    After watching your Vice reviews, outstanding reporting, me thinks the Vice website ball fitter/tool is wrong- it shows the Vice Pro as the most forgiving. As the runner up the Pro Air, which might actually be accurate. I called Vice and they said they “reworked” the fitting tool for the new generation. I was surprised that Vice Pro plus did not show in my results- ever! Thank you for the reviews, looking forward to Snell.. going with Pro Plus in the meantime- Subscribed!!!

      Thank you so much for watching and sharing your feedback. This is actually more common than you think. I have messed with many ball fitting tools that companies have ranging all the way from direct to consumer to even titleist. Most of them I feel are way off. When I did the Titleist one it took forever for them to recommend any ball to me other than the pro v1. It's just basic marketing for most of them, they want you to buy the most expensive ball

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  2 месяца назад +2

      The big thing to look for when you compare these golf balls is the forgiveness on this hits. The Wilson zip is by far the most forgiving golf ball I've ever tested. Not only with loss of distance, but with maintaining side spin as well. I would try both balls at the same time to gauge how bad Miss hits punish you. My initial thinking is that the Wilson zip might lose you a little bit of spin and distance, but the overall dispersion and consistency would be better. Please let me know what your findings are and which one you end up liking better 😀

    I played the Pro Plus and the Pro Air side by side for 36 holes last week. The only difference I found was the feel. Both reacted equally on distance, spin on irons and chipping. I expected to gain distance with the Air with me swinging at 90MPH but, it didn't outperform the Plus. At this moment I am still debating which to use.

    great review thanks you just got another subscriber! Listen...lets just say I am not quite a 95 swing speed or above player, but I'm in the low 90's, say 88-92 swing speed, and my handicap is around 15-18, not 10-12. The pro air might be more suitable for me, but I just absolutely love the look of the new orange-fade-to-yellow color Vice is offering that only comes in the new pro plus. Honestly...am I going to get more distance and better accuracy to the point that it makes a noticeable difference if I go ahead and start using the new pro plus vs the balls more suitable to lower swing speeds and higher handicaps? I need a deep dive analysis of this...could you do that sometime?

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  Месяц назад +1

      That is definitely possible. It might not be worth trying the pro Plus. I think it could have trouble compressing.
      Air, tour is what I would try first. Tour if you like a little firmer feel. Air will be soft and squishy.
      I will try to do some more testing soon. I would love to see how slower swing speeds react

  • @rlbjr
    @rlbjr 2 месяца назад +1

    The Pro Plus is listed as 100 compression. The Pro Tour is 95 compression and Vice says it is for all swing speeds. Dean Snell has said that it doesn't matter if you have a slower swing speed. A slow swing speed can compress higher compression balls. He always says to play the ball that you prefer from 100 yards and in.

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  2 месяца назад +1

      That makes a lot of sense. It doesn't feel like there's a whole lot of difference between their compressions. What I can't seem to comprehend those why the pro has such terrible forgiveness and the Pro Plus does so well. Still baffling.
      I definitely love the idea of playing up all you prefer 100 yards in. It's a refreshing take considering the majority of people I talk to are all about driver distance only. Now I will say there are some firmer golf balls that I love around the green they just don't do enough for my game everywhere else, such as the tp5, as well as a few others.
      Thanks for the awesome feedback and for watching :-)

    Do you think there is a real difference between the previous Plus vs the new Plus? I compared your numbers with this new Plus and the new Air. The driver is where the main difference showed up. I like Vice and have played them for a couple years. I'll end up with the Plus mainly for the difference in driver numbers. Thanks for your reviews.

      I will be doing side by side comparison soon enough. I mean my honest take is that it's better this time around the last time. But without a side by side I wouldn't know.

    I am a 20 handicap with a swing speed on the faster side so I figured I’d give these a try. I don’t have a launch monitor or anything like that, but I wanted to try them on the course. I played 18 holes yesterday directly comparing my shots with the Pro Plus to the shots I hit with the other balls I had in my bag; Callaway Supersoft, Taylormade Tour Response Stripe, Maxfli Tour and PXG. Simply put, I hit the best shots I’ve ever hit on a golf course with the Pro Plus. I hit my first 300 yard drive, and then did it two more times. I stopped a ball on the green on a dime from 200 yards with a five iron. I overshot a 170 yard green with a seven. and all of that while still having better spin control around the green by a wide margin over the others. I’m sure there are some other mid to high handicappers out there who understand how incredible those shots felt! If you have the swing speed to properly compress this ball, it’s a world beater! Vice have made a fan for life! Thank you for your reviews!

    I have a track man and the pro plus spins more than the pro I’m very confused how you got more spin from the pro.

    • @GolfBallAddict
      @GolfBallAddict  Месяц назад

      So couple things to unpack here.
      The first question I have, is what exact category are you talking about when you say spin? I would have to assume you mean the 50-yard pitch, because the seven iron and the five iron got less spin with the regular pro and the nine iron was the same.
      If that's the case and you are talking about the 50 yard pitch, that could be a variety of factors. It could be the type of wedge you're using, the number of great versus good contact hits, swing type, swing speed, etc. There's probably 5 to 10 different factors that could influence that.
      Also, keep in mind that the vice Pro Plus only got roughly around 200 RPM less average spend on the 50 yard pitch. In the grand scheme of things that's really nothing. Also, as I mentioned in the Pro review, the regular vice pro has some of the worst forgiveness I've tested so far. My Miss hits were like 5,000 rpm. They had to be removed from the pool because they were so bad. Even though the pro shows is 200 RPM faster overall, I know that the 8200 I'm getting with the Pro Plus is much more consistent and forgiving.
      I hope that helps a little. Thanks so much for watching and for your feedback. 😃

    So I took out a few balls to hit some.extras off the box ..I'll explain this..my home club 17th hole is 375yd slightly uphill to a plateau style fairway..with the. TP5x I'm usually hitting 19 hybrid 230--237 flushed..I flushed the first one , hit the 3 or 4 tweeners very acceptable and the last one butter flush..2 were in the rough 154 out approx , one ball was an AVX the other a Super soft..the shortest in the fairway was my legit first one a TP5x was a few yds behind the TP5 refurbs..could've been the bounce on the landing who knows..id also hit everyone of thos to the green ya know they were fairway. I drive ahead and due to the location of the sun in the settitng sky I couldn't see this ball which was 124 out..LMFAO it was a Vice Pro Plus ..so the next morning I went to Walmart and emptied the Shelf 😂..felt that good ..im a +1 who hits it 300 with A.I. Smoke and Stealth..Further with A.I. about 114 mph CHS

    Nick I have to disagree with some of your comments, Vice pro is not a good ball for you. When you playing golf you count your miss hits, this effect your statistics. The best balls have better forgiveness so your best ball in Vice and maybe best ball of the year is the Vice pro plus, outstanding numbers and FORGIVENESS. The tour seems excellent beginning 3 piece ball. Keep up the good work.

      Yeah the vice pro actually is my 4th on the vice list now that the list is complete. The forgiveness is a no go for me.
      My rankings right now would be:

      Vice pro air
