Using the sunset for the '23 season and have loved them. So easy to find and I know who's closest to the pin from a mile away!
Value for money is incredible and I look like a nice guy giving away all the prov1's I find in the bushes

I play the Vice Pro + in the sunset color. I am enjoying everything about it. With the sunset I am noticing that I do lose bits of color. I don't think it is less durable but with the bright orange color the lighter scuffs are more noticeable. Very solid golf ball. Maybe not as good as Pro V 1 in all aspects but I am not a good enough golfer for the differences to really show out.

I have been using the Vice Pro for about 2 years and I really really like them. The feel is as good as any ball, and for me I did not notice any spin difference. I actually did not start using them because of the cheaper price but it is certainly a perk.

Hey Matt, I am a Vice Pro Plus Lime Green user. Love being different and the ball...well, just performs. I get mine personalized (usually for free) and every time I try another ball, end up not liking them. I had a ball fitting with Ping and the balls that came out on top for me were the Vice Pro Plus and the previous Snell balls. Three mail order balls, something the Ping guy said he had never seen before.

I'm new to golf, best round is 103 so far and I've been using a large range of balls. I've found a few of the vice balls whilst looking for my own in rough haha and they do feel nice. I'm not good enough to see a difference distance wise but the feel of them is similar to the chrome soft for me.

I've tried the entire lineup from Vice and have stuck with the Tour. I got the 5 dozen with free personalization for christmas last year and they are so easy to find and identify. Love the putting line to get the putts rolling straight. Also, big fan of the glove lineup as well. The duro's last a good while and the pure's feel amazing. The price is starting to creep up, just like with everything else, but they are still one of the best deals for golf balls on the market.

I use the Vice Pro Shade Red and Orange. It’s easier to track in the air and it really stands out when looking in any kind of tall stuff. I agree the Drips are hard to track and hard to find. They look almost gray. The Vice Pros do scuff fairly easily in my experience. That said, I typically go through a couple a round so it 8ant a huge deal.

I've found a few Vice Pro and Pro Plus. I liked playing them for as long as it took me to lose them. I just picked up a few dozen Chrome Soft practice balls for $24.99/dozen at Dunham's in Butler, PA. They were running an in-store special. They even took my 10% discount card and the price dropped even more.

I've been using the Vice Pros for about two years, and I'm starting to test other golf balls because for whatever reason, I find that they react to bad strikes much worse than a proV. It's hard to explain, but a sliced vice goes that 5 extra yards into the hazard vs the ProV's that just seem to stay out.
I've been using a Srixon Z-star and have found it to be a great alternative

Hi Matt, I'm using the Vice for some years now. They had production issues a few yeas ago, but they are solved now. A good thing about this ball is also, that the packaging is way cheeper then on the Titles. And you normally just throw the package away. One bad thing is, that you can only buy them online (but get sometimes good conditions on buying - take 5 get 1 free). All in all I'm yery satisfied with the Vice and my decision to switch from ProV1.

I play the vice pro plus. I have noticed that they improved the durability about a year and a half ago and now they are truly a 1:1 replacement for half the price if you buy when they are on sale. They do go for buy two get one free at times which can get the price as low as $22 per dozen which is insane value.

My previous ball was a TP5; I have been playing the Vice Pro Red in the summer here in New Zealand, and I am impressed with the length and soft feel; most impressive thing is the durability; I got 3 rounds out of one ball. Love the bright red as it stands out, even in the rough, would like to try the ice blue and yellow next.

7 months later and I am still playing the same balls. I purchased them directly from Vice during an annual sale where if you bought 5 you got a dozen for free. This obviously made them even cheaper, but they have done it again this year as well. 6 dozen was plenty to get me through the year so I did not purchase any more, but here in the states they are in Target and Walmart stores as well if I find myself needing a couple extra until the next sale.

I bought two dozen pro plus in black and gold. No real issues seeing them, and the colors are fun. Good performance all around, didn’t notice much difference from prov1x that I usually go for. From reading up on them it seems like the only way you can really separate them from the ProV is on consistency of manufacturing. Titleist has the manufacturing process dialed in to build the exact same ball every single time with basically no variance. Smaller manufacturers can’t compete with that. However, can’t say I am good enough to tell a difference from ball to ball.

Hi Matt, I'm a high handicapper, only been playing for a year (albeit in my 60's), and play a Vice Pro Soft and the "splattered" pattern golf balls do seem to be harder to find, so I play either a white or neon red ball. I've tested a lot of golf balls, Pro V included, and I've found the Vice to be longer and have a great feel. Thanks for the great test.

I’ve been playing the Vice Lime Pro Plus for several years. I okay to a 3hcp and Previously I would only play ProV1. Distance, control and feel are extremely close. The durability would be my only complaint but not enough to warrant paying for ProV1. Dollar for dollar and yard for yard, well worth the money.

Been using Vice Pro for about three years. Tested the Snell also, (great ball but less durable in my opinion) and a couple of others, but settled on the Vice. Great feel and control off the irons. Plenty of stopping power and green side spin. When you purchase and get promos you get great deals also. Recently been getting 5+1 deal. So 6 dozen for the price of 5. Get onto em folks, best ball in the market I believe.

Been using these balls for some time now. My son uses the lime drip balls. He loves the distance he gets and nothing but positive remarks. He usually gets more than 2 rounds out of a ball so the they hold up very well. He really likes using while in tournaments for the different ball/distance/control appeal. I really like them for the performance vs price appeal. No problems with finding the drip balls. Wouldnt purchase the red or orange or black for the findable factor. But that can be said about any ball made in these colors.
Also we both love these for the short shots (great stopping) and the feel off the putter.
People love to compare these to the Pro V1, TP5, but price tag to price tag. You have to look alot further down the lineup in the titleist, TM, Callaway lineup to find similar pricing especially when bought in groups of 5. And those balls are not comparable to the Vice Pro at all. IMO

  • @Tui1Hit

I switched from Titleist Prov1x to Vice Pro Plus two years ago and have been very happy with the switch and am not looking back. I know this video is about Vice Pro which is comparable to the regular Prov1, but the Vice Pro Plus plays similar to the Prov1x, the ball I played for 10 years.

Vice pro balls are a great option if you don't want to spend the money on the ultra premium balls. And as It goes for the colors. I would say the "drip" ball isn't necessarily easier to find but I never find myself mistaken it for either someone else's ball or something that's not actually a ball i.e. some jerks wrapper

Been using the vice pro + for a few years now ,can’t fault them ,every bit as good as the pro v1 ,buy them in bulk for price discount .Unless your a tour pro getting free balls there’s no reason to play something like the pro v just silly prices for a golf ball .Titleist used to make the NXT tour which for its price was a great ball ,probably why they stopped doing it .I have more bad rounds than good ones these days and I don’t have to cry in my beer if I lose a few balls a round playing the vice ,it’s just a great ball .Nice review Matt .

I love the Vice Pro. I've been using them for two years now and wouldn't buy anything else now. Durability is the one aspect that can be an issue, but for the price difference, it's acceptable. I play Vice Pro Soft balls and I find that they are really good. The only thing I have noticed is that it does not hold up to my practice net, they scuff up faster than any other balls I have tried (Srixon, Maxfli, Titlelist, TaylorMade, or Callaway). That being said, I feel that is that is sort of a torture test. For on course usage I notice absolutely no durability issues. They will probably be my long term golf ball as my others get lost.

Budget-wise, I think the Vice Pro is a great ball and a great choice, but any time you compare other balls to the ProV1 you're probably better off just buying the ProV1, imo. And even though ProV1's are "predictable and reliable", I think those are great features to have in a ball. I (usually) don't lose more than 1 or 2 balls in a round and I prefer the TP5 Pix; it's been my gamer for the last year or so after switching from ProV1x.
My personal Top 5 faves right now are:
    1. Titleist ProV1x
    2. TaylorMade TP5 (my current ball)
    3. Callaway Chromesoft Triple Track
    4. Titleist AVX
    5. TaylorMade Tour Response

I play the Pro, just retired a ball that I played for 60 holes.. so no issue w durability. Play the lime green ones, very good visibility/ findability

Played the vice pro for an age and loved it but the price creeped up. Now play the vice pro zero which is cheaper but performs just as well for me

I've watched a few of these ball testing over the last couple of years and have never seen anyone test the Snell ball, by far the best ball if you ask me

I love the vice pro. Here in the US, Sam’s club sells them. 24 for $50.

I tried the Vice for awhile. Liked them except for color. I need the optic yellow color. Their lime green just didn't work for me. If they started making a yellow ball, I'd go back to them.

I use the vice pro plus. Couldn't pay me to hit a Titleist. Not a fan. I also play the TP5x and the Bridgestone Tour B XS.

I've already switched away from Titleist because my ball of choice the AVX has bumped in price to $55 a dozen.

Love the Vice balls all I use, just have very slow and not great customer service. At least from being from the states it is it may be different for those of you in Europe where you are closer to the company.

I've been playing vice pro soft for 2 years. I changed to the pro as I had been increasing my club speed through lessons and practice. I went back to the prosoft recently because I love the soft feel around the greens. I like them quite a bit. BTW your test should have been with the pro plus of vice, not the pro, if you wanted the V1 replica.

Matt, I have not played the Vice pro golf ball. I do think showing this type of comparisons is necessary for people to have options. I will say that colored golf balls have from my experience been hard to find at times.

You should try the Union Green brand of balls.

I wasn't impressed with the durability when I tried the vice balls. I'm on board with different colors though: I play an optic yellow Bridgestone Tour B RX at the moment because it suits my eye better than gloss white. I do like a matt white option as well

Yeah that's my concern. I don't lose golf balls often, just finished off the dozen of ProV1s I bought last season; I shoot 85-90 but losing balls isnt my issue. I'm getting 10+ rounds out of a single ball and cant say Vice would last like that AND still perform like a new one.

I used to use vice pro as a few years ago, 5 dozen were around £120. Great performance from them but prices have gone up recently and now with postage, its around £160. Play Seed now and 5 dozen are £120. Much more reasonable price and no difference in performance (or at least not that a 9 handicap would particularly notice)
