Most fires have always been human-caused. The difference now is once they start, they are much worse due to tinder dry conditions, drought, and heat, courtesy of Mother Nature and human caused elevated C02 levels in the atmosphere.

All of this because of that drunk! Love havilah, such a quaint area and holds historical significance as well. Sad to see it's destruction. This fire seems to be getting worse and worse and needs to be contained ASAP before it burns everything of significance

20 or 30 years ago, if a drunk driver had crashed in the same spot, the resulting fire would not have destroyed the entire town. Climate conditions are much worse now for fire suppression.

They are doing as they did 3 years ago. AS THEY DID 8 YEARS BEFORE, dancing a fire around upper Sawmill Rd. FOR 3 WEEKS. I overheard something on the scanner, a Captain ordering a crew to " let those 3 go" - allowing 3 structures to burn, then even more.
As they did in Maui, in Paradise , Ca , and so many more places.
It is no surprise that the Forest Service is corrupt. This has gone on for many years.
Few arrests and little done about it.
    Shameful, and absolutely evil !

    • @speedbuggy5573
      @speedbuggy5573 2 месяца назад

@wulfclaw4921 It's not just The Forest Service: It's The States Government: Who's Head Of California?
Put the Blaim where it Belongs...
The Forests Need To Thinned: It used to be done by logging.
IF Done Correctly, There's Nothing Wrong With Logging. It keeps the remaining trees healthy and Green, and resistant to insects: Weak trees succumb to Bark Beatles and other parasites, which eventually infest a lot of the forest.
People want homes in these areas, but too many don't do what it takes to keep them safe: Because "It spoils the view" or whatever other excuses they want to put on list of why things fail.
Most homeowners don't have contingencies for situations like these: It's not difficult to build a home that is fire resistant, and having enough water storage and ways to protect the structures.

I now have moved out of California into a new location that is much greener and pro freedom.

they need to do better fire prep, leaving all this fuel has proven to not work. its crazy to me how much fuel they leave to grown(germany is very green but they dont allow feul to build like that, so why do we?) if house stood for 100s of years and burns down now? why?

Kern County in California didn't have multiple wars straining and destroying wood resources.
It's also a different climate, made worse by the Industrial revolution

Don't Forget that so many issues come up Because Of "Environmental Concerns." Too many people are concerned about keeping everything in a natural state.
You can't have it both ways! If Man Isn't [or wont] Willing to clean up things; Mother Nature Will: I'm all for protecting the environment, but there must be an acceptable level reached on both sides of the issue.
Too many Environmentalists want everything Natural: And They're Unwilling To Change Their Position; The Forests Need To Be Thined Of Dead And Overgrown Brush And Trees: Or Nature Will Do It In It's Own Way; As It's Been For Thousands Of Years.
