I overheard something on the scanner, a Captain ordering a crew to " let those 3 go" - allowing 3 structures to burn, then even more. As they did in Maui, in Paradise , Ca , and so many more places. It is no surprise that the Forest Service is corrupt. This has gone on for many years. Few arrests and little done about it. Shameful, and absolutely evil !

Fire prep does help, but this was a wind driven issue. Not much they can do when it is blowing over 30 mph gusts.
