    It’s crazy that this all happened by a flaming car

  • @allengreg5447
    @allengreg5447 3 месяца назад +8

    Fighting forest fires often results in a Sisyphean task where efforts to suppress the flames inadvertently contribute to future problems. When fires are extinguished, dead trees and accumulated underbrush are left behind, creating a dense fuel load that can easily ignite in subsequent years. This buildup of flammable material, combined with the intensifying effects of climate change-such as prolonged droughts, higher temperatures, and unpredictable weather patterns-sets the stage for even larger and more intense fires. This cyclical nature of fire suppression and increased fuel load, exacerbated by climate change, highlights the futility of merely fighting fires without addressing the underlying causes and implementing comprehensive forest management strategies.

      @@MAG320 most the homes that operate and live in those areas exist on well water. Where do you think they get their water from? These are remote communities not places that have money for giant water tanks all the time nor do they have giant water treatment plants there for them there is no city water. It is all well water and groundwater they’re tapping that’s literally how most people exist up here. Keep making it false about what people have to have for this and that of course if you’re gonna run a new well on a new piece of property you’re gonna need permits or whatever other county taxes and fees they want to hit you with but most the people who already exist up there already have Wells.

      @caleblambo162 3 месяца назад +4

      @@korodski more like a lack of proper forestry management.. there are ACTUAL solutions out there but they are only 1/20th as profitable.. Fighting wildfires in the west is all about money nowadays.. it's a big money-making operation. And I'm fully prepared.. my vehicles maintain a full tank of gas during fire season, I have go-bags ready at the door, emergency food, my home has a break created around it. The recent Thompson Fire here in Oroville was a good test of that. This is about the state letting us down, not about the small guy.

    • @watertankhikes
      @watertankhikes 3 месяца назад

      @@caleblambo162, so please explain how "a lack of proper forestry management" exacerbated the Thompson Fire. Or, if you are referring to the Park Fire, look at the satellite imagery of all the SPI clearcuts in the burn perimeter. It's easy to place blame on government agencies, but so-called "forest management" on private timberland isn't working either. Go past Feather Falls (former townsite) to see how private timber company management fared in the North Complex Fire.
