Dude in my neighborhood lost at least a hundred lbs. by putting on his headphones and just went walking around at a consistent pace. No gym, nothing strenuous, just bopping around to his music.
You probably already thought of that, but just in case you think it wouldn't work or whatnot I thought I'd let you know. It won't be quick but it will be healthy and if you keep walking the weight stays off.
Maybe losing weight will help maybe not, HOWEVER you MIGHT feel a little bit better changing things up and hitting the streets to the music you like.
My older brother also had weight issues and he did all the strenuous type things, all the exercises and gyms and lost the weight that way but he wasn't dealing with anxiety or depression or any other mental health issues. I know losing the weight is better for your heart, but you seem honest and from your thumbnail pic you got a good smile and look like a good-looking dude and probably have a lot of positive aspects about yourself that losing the weight shouldn't change.
Not trying to get in your business but I hope you feel better and know that it's one day at a time and every day is a new day. I'm not saying it'll be better than the day before but it'll be different and that can present opportunities for change. And everybody has the capacity for change.

As a skinny tall guy my body always made me self conscious because I have the body type of a stickfigure/praying mantis. But as Im getting older and a bit more musculair, I realised most people that would comment on my body type had a worse build then me. Seeing the skinny guy placed 5 and being confident with it is both bringing me back but also showing me that that is just a cool guy. Losing weight def helps physically, but mentally, it depends on the person and their situation. It can definitely help. Ive seen people lose weight and live their best lives, but others have been like me where mentally they stay the same.

Kind of had the same mentality about people all of sudden treating you differently after weight loss. I felt like I was the same person, but after Aba pointed out that you're not the same - I get it a little more. There's more structure in my life now and there's a different underlying confidence. I'm still super reserved but it's not a nervous/shy reserved, it's more reserved to protect myself because these days I know I'm capable.
Here's an example I have for 10:53 - The rap duo $uicideboy$ are known for mentioning their usage of drugs in their music and around 2019 they both decided to get sober and kick their addictions. They now look amazing and imo better than ever. Yes, their music has changed but as a fan/supporter of them I applaud them for the changes they've made and they're a great example for those who also battle with their addictions to do the same. There are OG fans of the boy$ that don't like their recent music and have even said things like "wish you guys still made music like before" or "when you guys were doing drugs the music was better". Funny enough they even named a song "$uicideboy$ were better in 2015" to address the backlash. I'm sure they've read comments like that plenty of times but still continue to maintain their health and continue with their success in music. Main point being, follow your own intutions and make sure you got real ones around you who also have your best interest in mind as well.

As a man your shoulders should always be wider than your waist or at the bare minimum the same. He also has zero glutes which shows he’s not athletic whatsoever. Not to mention he carries all his body fat in the worst places like his midsection . Most regular guys don’t have a midsection that big. He just looks super unhealthy with an odd shape .x or v tapers the gold standard ,having a fat midsection is extremely unattractive.
At the end of the day, it's all about confidence. I've had friends and family that look like they shouldn't have GF, much less wives, but once you get to see how charismatic they are and how they're comfortable in their own skin, then you'll see why they are able to get with women who are way out of their league
