Super elegant! Nice gift! The Excursion train looks great!
Sweet! I just got my BLI HO Big Boy last weekend. So awesome! I now have 844, 3977, and 4014. Still want to get 3985. These are so much fun to watch. Congrats on your new loco. It will fun to see running on your live show this Sunday. Hint hint.
I have Big Boy Number 4014 by Rivarossi. Very temperamental Locomotive. I have seen the real one several times running, unbelievable site to see. It was made primarily to haul coal over the Laramie pass in Wyoming.
Gorgeous model... what a gift!!! Nice haul!
Nice Gifts, Dave. Thanks for Sharing!
😊😊.. Big Boy 🚂..J have model Big Boy Union Pacific for Rivarossii.
In the words of Napoleon Dynamite “LUCKY!” Looks great. 😊 I like steamers, and I might get a couple, but I’ll be when I get the big layout done. Whenever that’ll be.
It's great to see a new addition of steam locomotives to your collection. Enjoy, it looks great. 🚂
Also, the big boys were made to haul 200 car ore trains from the mines
Pretty sure they were specifically designed to haul mainline freight originally over the Wasatch between Ogden, Utah, and Green River, Wyoming, and later used all the way to Cheyenne.
@@jimmd68 they were used for ore later around Cheyenne, I heard that was gonna be the locomotive class designation however an unknown employee wrote “Big Boy” on the front and they named the locomotive class that
@@YourLocalRailfan I'm sure that's possible, but I've never seen or heard any evidence of that. Also, yes it was an Alco employee who wrote "Big Boy" on the front of the smokebox of #4000 and the name stuck. Pretty good name if you ask me!
Can't wait to see more dave
That looks so good on your layout Dave! Love the puns and glad you like the package!
nice gift haul dave love the steamers and big boy my wife got me a new dcc rivarossi bigboy with sound for my bday lucky sod lol
an amazing locomotive cant wait to hear it in sound
That's an absolute beauty of a loco, need the curves to run them, which you have. Excellent stuff from Joe, nice stock too. A choice steam loco mate, you understand my passion for them now. All the best. Brian
Wow awesome gift
I was super happy when I got my first big boy
What a great gift! It's nice to see a Big Boy other than 4014.
Dave, If you haven't noticed the front coupling is off to the side it needs to be moved to the centre again. It looks great going around your layout.
I think it's designed that way, so when it's not in use it looks tidier.
That was most kind of him to send you that lot. Great looking loco !!
Congrats on your Big Boy! She looks absolutely gorgeous. Enjoy!
Wow a bit jealous now. Lovely the Big Boy.
Great gift! We'll now you have a good Tune-up-Tuesday project. Maybe a new intro with the Big Boy?
NOW THATS AN ENGINE🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
wow lucky man Dave
I really am.
Great video good luck with the big boy
Welcome to the Big Boy Club. 1,000,000 pounds of loco. There is still one running today. # 4014. I think there are 8 Big Boy's left. I have seen 4 of them. The closest to you would be at Scranton Pennsylvania, at Steamtown, about 5 1/2 hours from you. Big Boys were made for freight service. Enjoy! How long did it take you to get all those wheels on the track?
It was strangely easy to get the wheels on the track. Must be all that articulation.
Good stuff Dave.
What a collection.
Have fun with them.
Nice mail call
I'm reaching for the Minities!
17:24 on the back set of wheels behind the steam piston, is that something hanging off that should be attached?
Just a bit of styrene from the mountain pass.
Dont let your big one go limp 😮👍😛
Regular lubrication will keep it going strong.
That Chessis Gorgeous
@Scott Rails, what is the minimum radius & maximum gradient on your layout?
That G in fragile looks more like a "6"!
It sounds like you moved from the UK to Canada.
You mentioned points & sleepers. Are those the words they use in Canada, or do they usually use the "Yankee" terms for them?
Minimum radius is 18, but that's the inner loop I didn't run on this video. The two main outer loops are 28 and 30"
I moved from Scotland to Canada.
Sleepers and points is a British term.
Oh, and I have no inclines on this track.
Punny guy 😁
The big boys pulled massive coal and fruit trains
Or 100 refrigerator cars
Now I am happy, your Union Pacific contingent is now complete and I look forward to lots of video of the Big Boy running on the layout. I am busy building my own Big Boy on my channel but its still aways from finished especially as I am using cheap Chinese toy trains to build it. I am so glad you have this loco running on your track. Now get your passenger cars out and build the excursion consist that Big Boy pulls around today...ruclips.net/video/zJRHm4fZgio/видео.html
That’s really cool seeing as I’ve just seen big boy #4017
