Can’t wait for the JR002G review I killed my 12 old brushed reciprocating saw couple months ago and have eagerly awaiting your review to see if this is where I dive into 40V life
I go off-roading in a ground and this would be very handy. The Can-am built in horn can barely be heard over the engine and we use marine air horns to scare wildlife off the trail, let everyone at camp know we are ready to roll before they strap in their radios, and for safety when we pass each other. While we could build in a better horn, it’s easier to just use cordless hand tools like we do for the tire inflator, wrench and drills, and flashlights.
Compared to a aerosol hand held horn or feeding back a loud haler this makes sense. Well the price I paid for one for a School years ago. 20 years ago it was $90. It also failed half way through the second can of butane.
Just came back to this as I now have my 18V dust blower and we know it puts out a lot of wind, could it power an air horn by itself though? It doesn't look like anyone has tried. Nudge, nudge.
Actually not that far fetched. I can see these becoming popular among demolition crews, railroad workers, any sort of "in the field" construction/repair, ropeway operators what have you. In times of solar generators this will never run empty as well (I've been charging all my 18V Makita batteries with a portable solar setup exclusively for month now).
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL US-wise, as of today, the ability to unofficially pre-order the past year’s worth of XGT is doable with some online vendors. Zero ETA. Nobody knows. I don’t expect anything until July or August (without any evidence). Prices are… maybe they accidentally posted the New Zealand prices? Milwaukee cordless 8” metal circular saw is $399 (and often cheaper). My precious Makita metal saw will be… $520. And that is not MSRP. That’s what online vendors are willing to sell at while profiting off of volume. My local shop will likely be $600-649. At that price it better damn well say Festool on the side of it. 😂. I’m looking forward to the new recip saw and I could use it sooner than later. I have hundreds of railway sleepers to break down.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL Someone down the corporate line really doesn’t want to sell XGT in the states. The good news is that the bandsaw is about $20 cheaper. The vacs are….more than Festool. New estimated eta of June 1st for some of the products. I’m a bit surprised by that.

The 40 volt version will be a ship horn and the 80 volt version will be a train horn
Why downgrade for the 80v?
Needed for school sports carnivals every where.

Brilliant! Couldn’t see the kit on the website…
It's there somewhere, I saw it earlier.

Need to bolt that onto my bicycle.
Any news on an 18v version of that dust blower?

You missed the most obviouse use-case: getting teenagers out of bed in a manner they deserve 🕺
No the most obvious is for people with trains.
Getting one for traffic - I could point it at the offender!
Are better 4 horns ? Or 2
Is better 2 or 4 horns ?
For mining before they blow stuff up!
I've been wating for the new 40v sawzaw review for some time. I hope it more powerful then the metabo hpt.
Still want it
DAMN! 165 dB 😱
A video idea: Third -party Tools compatible with Makita Battery Platform 👍
Why is there not just a mini compressor to add onto the end of the drill?
This is just a cheap compressor fitting into the casing
Damnnn! Just bought one
I've been requesting a bullhorn for quite some time.
If you bolt it backwards on the makita bicycle do you ride faster?
Blower would be more effective and much quieter.
This is amazing
You can make this more realistic for nighttime use by mounting an Imalent MS18, lol.
That’s mint
does this work with vuvuzelas?
The horrorrrr!
I want one.. Bad.
I'm only 13 seconds into the video but I had to pause and comment that today I learned kiwis call coolers "chilly bins"...
We sure do! And the Aussies call them "Eskys"
Take my money!
If you had done this on the 1st of April it would be the only April fools joke to be true.🤣
The video I did on April Fools was thought to be a joke even though it was also true.
I want one!!!
Oh Wow.
Still cool
Smoko horn
Good to scare the shit out of the ‘deaf’ guy at work!
Whatever toots ur horn I guess. See what I did there.
Wait, it is not april fools today? Lol
Soon….ish. 😂
Thought I'd better cover myself.
@@ToolsAndStuffOFFICIAL I cover myself in Vaseline while supporting their US division. 😁

That's more expensive than here. I paid the equivalent of 445USD for mine.
