Thank you!
I could not figure out if they used the impact's motor to turn the compressor or just the voltage from the battery.
Now that I know it is the voltage I could make one from any rechargeable tool.
I have a dead cordless reciprocating saw and an air horn I never installed because it wouldn't fit under my hood.
I bet the 12 volt motor will handle 18 Volts in short bursts.
Thanks again!
Nice demonstration!
Thank you
Bravo mate.... well done.. it was a very intriguing video. . you had my attention from the very moment you started your video.
Love stuff like this. Just makes ya smile scaring people especially during Halloween 😂
Awesome video man 😎
nice one brother. I SAID NICE ONE BROTHER
I built one of those over 3 years ago using an old Ryobi drill
Wow Really nice vidéo and how it make the train horn i find thate its a good présentation for show to other people here Good Job :)
I have a dewalt brushless drill to use it has 3 wires white black and blue and I can't figure out how it needs to be wired bc it's all incased inside the small board....I may just look for a regular drill
Hi where do i get the compressor?
Thank you!
Just curious why you swapped out the trigger?
Could we not simply connect the positive/negative going to the motor, to the compressor that will be replacing it?
I replaced the trigger because the original trigger did not turn on and off. This is a tool problem with an asynchronous motor, as far as I know.
Do you sell them ? If you Do I would love to buy one
Thanks for your efforts put into making the video. I found it clear and just right length for a good overview. Thank you OP!
What is the part number for the switch you used?
I've had some similar to these for a long time. www.amazon.com/Electric-Drill-Switch-7-2-Cordless/dp/B08B7YZYXQ
Can in also use a drill instead of an inpact
Depends the size of the drill
How would I wire in a remote as well at the trigger?
I also want to build one with a remote control. Maybe I'll make a video. I'm planning to order this diy set. bosshorn.com/products/diy-milwaukee-train-horn-kit
@@diy-ster when is the video coming out?
What is the SPECIFIC model of Milwaukee drill did you use?
Doesnt matter at all

Wow. I thought the impact motor would power the compressor. Looks dumb
It would be pretty weird to have all that hammering just for a compressor. And yeah, this _IS_ dumb.
@@HelloKittyFanMan I said the motor. I did not say motor and anvil/ impact mechanism.
@@bennorwood5181: You said "impact motor." If you just meant "motor" then just edit your post (or copy, delete, and repost) to simply say _that._
@@HelloKittyFanMan because it is the motor from the impact so it is the impact motor
@@bennorwood5181: No it's not. There is no such tool as an "impact." Try again.
What a waste of an impact driver!
