Hi, some advice for you here: 1. You’re struggling to get the car slowed down because you aren’t downshifting fast enough, just bang down the gears and that will help you get it slowed down. Your braking points are fine and the braking input itself is fine, you’re just not engine braking enough. 2. You’ve more or less chosen the hardest car in the game to drive, even for really fast guys the Cadillac is just known to be a really touchy car in the brakes, the others are all fine in this regard though. If you want an easier jump in experience just go for the Porsche or Ferrari they are much easier to drive straight out the box.
You have to downshift a lot quicker and use the engine braking to slow down the car quicker. The jerks you experienced the car doing is because you downshifted while not braking. Then the engine brakes for you, and that is less controllable. the same will happen in a manuel car if you downshift and then domp the clutch rhe car will jerk a lot.
Harder than iRacing? It's weird, I feel that all cars in LMU handle pretty OK, while the LMP3 car in iRacing locks up and spins to the slightest over-brake even in a total straight. I have all assists off.... load-cell .. of course.. Maybe track dependent? I only drove Monza, Spa and Sebring in LMU this far. SPA in the LMP3 in iRacing is ice-skating if you are not easy on the brakes.
I mean the game crashed mid race. It's harder than irenting. I played Irenting for 6-7 months, and never had nothing like this. But on this clunker, even crashes when you try to start the race 🤣🤣
I basically know this track from 'Racedriver: GRID', though that's a sim-cade (and probably at least 60% "arcade") and with different cars. But that game still conveys how intense it is, so I know that feeling of needing to get everything right or just fall behind endlessly. - Though, that game also has that "catchup"-bs going on, so it's barely doable, as even when you're doing well it will just make the AI catch up with you like they suddenly pressed a "boost"-button and you see them coming up in your mirror like it's nothing while you're going at top-speed. - So while I kinda hated the Le Mans parts of that game, the cheating, not so much the intensity, I would actually be willing to try this game if it's focused just on that and of course more reasonable.
You know what I find interesting.. and maybe for me it’s just dumb luck.. but I don’t get the crashing as much. The last time I crashed I think it was self induced when I attempted to do a tire selection change on grid. Other than that I’ve been loving the sim .. I can’t wait till they begin adding more 2024 content and I feel that’s the only thing that will keep it alive and move it out of beta.
Good video !! I like your offline content about LMU, maybe next race with the Jota porsche on Sebring ? (i really want to play the game but I have to wait because I play on PlayStation 😢)
I agree totally. The basics have to be sorted, so that the other improvements can be made. Racers may lose interest and may not even support the devs? It may die before it really can get some momentum as a pleasurable sim. How many logs are going to have to be submitted b4 they find and correct the issues?? For me...I hate getting into a good race or taking the time to settle in and knowing in the back of my mind this could happen at any moment. But then again..like you mentioned, it is early access.
My biggest gripe (other than VR not working) is the scheduled races. It should really have a mode where you just jump-in ACC style into quick 15-20 min races. And ASAP...

Early access. It'll get fixed
Kireth, it happened 😢 to me a couple of days ago. I was playing it too, and it crashed. I enjoyed what I was able to play though.
You need to use crew chief. It actually has a radar on it that works.
CC doesn't have radar. Are you maybe thinking of OtterHUD?

huh, neat!
I used code "Kireth100" Thanks for the free rig !
Bro found the infinite rig glitch 👀👀👀
@kireth Dan Suzuki made a video how to activate radar in LMU. I posted this as a reaction with videolink in a previous LMU video.

I can’t imagine this degree of difficulty is reflective of the real-life car. I’m dubious that this sim will ever fulfill its original vision
I want to like this sim but as of now I’m glad I haven’t purchased it.
Might be hypercar specific!
