I have an in determinate diagnosis on the isthmus of the thyroid. Is it common to remove the whole thyroid in this type of location? Can the nodule be removed without removing any or all of the thyroid?
When they remove a nodule, the cancer is not gone. They would like you to believe that. However, cancer is systemic and will just show up somewhere else. My nodules are benign.
there are different types of cancer. Not all are going to attack different parts of the body. But yes certain types such as breast and ovarian cancer can attack both. There are publishing's on the hypotheses of cancer as a systemic disease. But not in the same context you are thinking of. If you have skin cancer there are four types removing one type will not guarantee that another will not pop up. So I can see your point but cancer is to say the least generic term for many illnesses such as carcinoma, sarcoma, melanoma, lymphoma, and leukemia If you have one of these and are lucky enough to be "cured" it will not then come back say from Leukemia to a Lymphoma. I am happy to hear that your nodules are benign. And I would like to hear more from you on why you think cancer is systemic if you have time. Thank you for your post.
@@wendydillard1 Find Lori’s story on YT, her Thyroid Cancer spread after they told her that got it all. It spread to her lungs and she had to take some me different trail drugs. Not for is she is still with us today.
Good for you. So glad they are benign! Why post this message then? Don’t you think people are worried enough that they need to read this horrible negative message!
Hi, Can you share what was your result? I have TR 5 highly suspicious 7 points. Atypical fna result. Rescheduled for repeat biopsy in December and genetic testing would be done if I end up with atypical again. Stressed that it’s going to take 3 more months for my results.
@@aiswaryaravikumar4736 afirma came back as inconclusive also, instead of a repeat my endo referred me to an ENT and I'll be getting my right side removed next week.
So suspicious of papillary thyroid carcinoma is still a cancer diagnosis?

@@wendydillard1 Because if cancer gets into your lymph nodes, it spreads.
