OMFG I FELT THIS ON A DIFFERENT LEVEL. I had an attack like this during FINAL EXAMS. Usually my period pain would last for about 2 days, then on the 3rd and following days it would go away. I rarely drink painkillers since I’m afraid I’ll get used to it. I was on my 3rd day and I didnt feel any pain but right until our test papers were handed out, the bitch started acting up. It wasnt intense, but god it was enough to distract me. I was sweating & shaking from the pain. My acidity would go up too from time to time. And I really didnt want to be excused since it was the last exam of the day and wanted to finish it. I tried so hard to act normal😂 which made it so much worse because I couldnt tell anyone that I was literally dying from the inside. Thankfully, I passed the test. Though I didnt know how I did it since I couldnt even remember my answers. I was too focused on the pain. It was a nightmare.
Add the actual blood shed, the headaches, the nausea and vomiting, breast aches, cravings, bloating, fatigue, diarrhea, having to spend money to wear a diaper-like padding and/or sticking something up there, experiencing symptoms BEFORE you actually ever even start, AND NOT being able to turn off cramps when its convenient and you get the results that you just want to die :'(((( i dread this everytime. "I'm just like I really hope it isnt that bad this time." Why lawd why.

Its actually hard for us to keep some of you happy. We lose a lot of efforts like money, all the plans we made becomes nothing after break ups. We can't really cope properly. We hiding our feelings, not saying anything because society will shame us even tho we are the same emotionally and every break ups, society usually sees the guys as the problem. Thinking about the lost of our efforts, We have a hard time moving and get suicidal thoughts. So I believe your'e strong and I feel your pain. Hope guys around you understands you.

it's literally the worst feeling. i'm dying of cramps right now. they were so bad once i cried so hard and then i fainted. literally worst pain ever. the hardest part is going to school with so much pain and having to pretend you're okay in front of everyone when in reality you just want to curl up into a ball and cry. plus the uncomfortable feeling of actually bleeding. ugh i hate it props to you for even doing this.

Mine would hurt from perhaps 5 in the morning to 10 in the morning then it would come back at 1 in the afternoon till maybe 4 in the afternoon. And the next day again it would hurt but at different times. Something like that. Just a gist.
Now try doing that for 5 days each month when it is steaming hot out, you have 3 tests in school, have sports practice, etc. Some men say they would stay in their room all day. You can not because you have things to do lmao, loved this. They should show this in school so people would not say that girls are not tough. We do not show that we are in pain when we are around people because it is weird and it takes a lot of nerve to show that we are strong.

Exactly. I Have Marching Band And One Day During The 2 Week Band Camp, I Just Randomly Started. I Was Embarrassed Badly. Also, Since Girls Are Used To Cramps, I Ignored My Cramps When I Had Practice One Day And Told Myself To Stay Strong Or You Will Look Weak.
And to add the fact that you are also bleeding I have been late to so many classes because I am in the bathroom and running a mile while bleeding and having cramps ughhh

I've been lucky so far not to lose any organs but sometimes my cramps are so bad that I have that thought of "what if one of my organs is going out and I just think it's cramps?" so it's kind of comforting to know this happens so frequently and I'm not just crazy.

Thirza Snijders "lighter" depends on what a person experiences, some women have to be hospitalized or have their whole lives put on hold because a part of an unborn children is being evicted from our bodies (aka periods). I grew up with a girl that was hospitilized for almost 2 weeks because of her period and had to go on birth control to try and lessen the severity of the periods. Labor doesn't generally put you in the hospital for almost 2 weeks or possibly give you PMDD, so there's that too.
TheGreyCouncil I know that it's kind of similar to myself (I didn't get hospilitized) but to have that much pain depends on the person but in most cases women don't have THAT much pain
I've been checked, and it's normal for me...but my period cramps have gotten so bad that I've almost blacked out. Most of the time I end up vomiting the pain gets so bad. I typically lay on the floor and cry, because no position helps, and I get weak.

It's kind of funny because most women have higher tolerance to pain than men do, so the level of pain their experiencing might be just a typical moderate cramp day to a woman. 😂 Or even just a mild day! The tolerance must come from how we do have to handle cramps and childbirth.
But yeah, that explains "how we do it" we can just tolerate it a little better, and learn to be functional during that time.

There is a difference between a pain THRESHOLD and pain TOLERANCE. Men have a higher threshold, which means it takes more for them to begin feeling pain. Women have a higher tolerance, which means we feel more pain but we are better at enduring it...

That's how mine are, too! I was put on a monitor when I was 14 and they told me that if I ever had a child, the contractions (labor pains) would be LESS painful than my cramps get at times! Muscle relaxers, painkillers, and steroids are a girl's best friend! lol

Gosh I found this a few months ago and I come back every month bc it makes me smile. I just make sure I watch it when i'm not cramping. But I notice that with these kinds if videos when guys actually experience that they're point if view changes. Like guys at my school treat periods like taboo. But when asked about it they're all like "oh it's not that bad you girls are weak" you know what I say? "Imagine getting kicked in the balls. Now take that pain and pretend it's in your lower abdomen, lower back, and thighs. Oh and you're dizzy, have a migraine, and you feel like you're going to throw up, and you are super tired. Also, nobody cares that you're in this pain. And you have to stay quiet about it, smile and get through school and all your other activities without complaining or crying. This is what a period is like. Welcome to my world. So tell me 'it's not that bad' one more time. Go ahead and try." They go really pale. I love the look on their faces. They're ask me if that's how it is for me personally, it is. But seriously, guys need to have better judgement on things like this. They don't understand. Regina George my first time wearing a tampon I wore a skirt to school and was walking down the hallway with blood going down both of my legs and didn't know until someone that was nice enough to tell me instead of laughing. I just didn't know how it worked. I thought I was good to go all day with just one tampon.

I have never experienced period cramps while growing up now that I'm 21 I'm experiencing the worst pain of my life!! I have never cried from physical pain until now. I got my arm dislocated before and I didn't cry... so period cramps are no joke they can get super painful and it has gotten so bad that I can't just sit still have to walk or do something to distract from the pain and I just cry like a little bitch and even passed out one time and you can also get nauseous, don't wanna eat anything etc.... It's horrible.

michelle garcia Yes, I usually dont eat anything for the first 2 days because it makes me so nauseous. Unfortunately, not eating makes me lightheaded and dizzy. I feel like I can't win. I've been dealing with this since I was 10. Now I'm just counting down to menopause. 10 more years to go, I cannot wait!!!
You may have already gone to check, but with it suddenly flaring up like that, might be a good idea to check for cysts or endometriosis. Changes in diet can affect cramps too so see if you're eating differently. Also tampon brands... Some tampons make me cramp worse than others.

Luckily school in favor for girls hence why they get higher grades than guys and guys gets dropped out a lot and it's shown in studies. That "girls are more intelligent" myth we get tired of hearing about while they ignore the fact that there are different kinds of intelligence and there exist what guys are good at which isn't taught at school. The school system is made for how girl's brain is hardwired. And about work? At least you can only work in an air conditioned studio for a living without society expecting more from you like working in a risky place to earn more money for the family or you can find a good man then take 1/3 of his money away by filing up for divorce. But school is worse that I see. (sarcasm)

Every day I have to PRAY that this house is safe because God forbid, if an intruder comes in our house and my Dad isn't hare, ME AND MY TWIN BROTHER have to FIGHT the person. I have it where the first day i have a extremely painful cramp all day even with meds. I end up having to lay in bed all day bleed a ton cuz its also the day i bleed the most and try but fail to find a comfortable spot to lay down and hopefully sleep in without ending up bleeding thru my pants.

Science proves that men are more sensitive and emotional than women so it makes women stronger emotionally. (Only if they're not on their periods) We just hide it better tho. Men's hormonal cycle happens everyday btw so it's like a daily but mild period that only few guys can even feel it. The worst part is that were supposed to hide it because it's not acceptable to society. So.. drama all you wan't we don't mind. Nothing wrong. Were just quiet.

Okay, getting kicked in the balls _can_ be serious, but unless you went to the hospital, chances are that your pain ending within an hour or so versus several days later. Not to mention the plethora of other symptoms that come along with having a period or giving birth...

On a regular period pains last 2 days straight varying from pain 1-10 one whole day would be pains 8-12 level 15 pains i cant even describe. I litteraly will pass out from screaming after tolerating pains 8-10 with a straight face. I'm a really chill, laidback person but, the 1st time a long time male friend watched me go through one of my worst days he made a joke & told me to "man up". In a fetal position on the floor & in an Exorcist voice, i offered to throw him out my 4th floor window. He went into shock. Was pretty nice to me after though.

They left out the two weeks of breast swelling before the periods,nausea and back pain. Then a few days before,diarrhea,headache,backache,nausea and vomiting and the day of excruciating cramps that feel as if someone is pulling out your uterus along with the previous symptoms and bleeding for five days. We have to go to work,school,and go on with life with these symptoms every month (unless pregnant which is another whole conundrum). Girls,ladies,women,mothers,we are soldiers and I salute you all 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Just think about it . It is a pain that for most it won't go away, no matter which position you are in. Today I was working and I had to tell my boss if I could sit down because I couldn't breath well, the pain was going down my legs and I couldn't stand anymore. That was for about 2 hours when I finally got off and went home, I would of told my boss I wanted to leave but I love money lol
By the way some women (including me) not only have cramps. There is also diarrhea, nausea, the feeling of blood coming out of the meat wallet and you wanna cry and then you feel mad and then happy.
And you have to do that while trying to have a normal day.
Like you should of seen today at work trying to give great customer service while having a horrible cramp and diarrhea at the same time.

the pain levels l experience while bleeding are as severe as going through childbirth or miscarriage every month. a society which expects women to go to school or work and act normal with a straight face while going through that kind of brutal and excruciating physical trauma is a barbaric society, not a civilised one.
