Or like any other mammal... The bleeding is not because they want to get rid of the blood, but because small blood vessels rupture when they build up the birthing butter. Only humans and apes bleed differently🤷🏽♀️
@@afthabhameed5041 English is not my first language so its kinda hard for me to explain but I will try it... Cats, for example. Cats have their menstruation because blood vessels tear during the construction of the uterus. When they have had their ovulation and have not become pregnant, they break down the mucous membrane and are "reused". Humans and monkeys have more mucosa (would take too long to explain). We can't just break it down, so it has to come out of the body. Cats can simply lick up the little blood. If humans had the same system as in other animals, it would not bleed so much, we would have less pain, etc.

If all the adults suddenly died off, these people would instantly see they aren’t actually children.

@@ambrosia1111 I have PCOS and it's terrible I'm lucky if I have one period in the space of 2 or 3 months and when I do get them they're 2 or 3 weeks long and are very very painful
Everytime I get my period I start watching period related things on youtube and read the comments about other people's experience with it. I don't why but it makes me feel better
My cramps get so intense that I literally scream at the peak of my voice out of pain, while I remain bedridden as well, surviving solely on painkillers....... I curse this life.
Hi, i had the same thing! IDK how to write it in English but it is endeometrosis, when u are in ur period but the pain is so bad u have to go to the hospital, and every year that passes the pain it's worse, u should go to se doctor and check that out, hope the best for you!
I know the feeling! My cramps get that bad too and I pretty much remain bedridden. It literally feels like I'm sick and being tortured for a week! I only take Midol when I REALLY need to. For the most part, I just endure the pain or will soak in a warm bath. I take a lot of medication as it is for various health conditions that I've had since birth, so the last thing I need is more medication even something as simple as Midol, interacting with my prescription medications. I'm always looking for various holistic ways to ease the pain.
For everyone on their period right now, we can do it girls, we're all strong and remember that we all are dealing with this every month and me too you're not alone ❤
As a guy, period was never fully explained to me. I just knew it's uncomfortable and that was it. But this video puts very different perspective on it, thus creating compassion and more understanding for what women are going through on a monthly basis. I am glad we have the internet so people can express them selves in a way that's fun but educational as well.
Good on you for taking the time to educate yourself. I am also thankful that we have virtually unlimited resources on the internet to strengthen both knowledge and empathy.
I never get emotional before my period starts. So it's even more annoying when people act childish like "Oh, must be the time of the month again?" as if a woman is not allowed to act or react a certain way throughout the whole month.
@blakelmj bc sometimes when we have strong emotions or something ppl are just like “ oh you must be in your period” and it makes all those emotions you feel, invalid. When in reality you are feeling those emotions for a reason. Anyway it makes it harder to show strong emotions and opinions without ppl assuming it’s ur period. Hope this helps, if it doesn’t u can tell me and I’ll try to explain it better. 🙂
@@ShaquilleOatmeal842 That's stupid. Everyone's mom has or used to have periods. There's nothing to hide or be ashamed about. Personally I would genuinely want to know if a woman around me is on her period, so I can better understand and accommodate her.
@@blakelmj that’s very nice of you! And you’re so right it is stupid, but it’s still something that we have to do deal with. I wish a lot more people had your mindset. And the funny thing is, the people that say “you must be on your period” aren’t always men. Some women say it too, which doesn’t makes sense because you’d think they know what it feels like to be told that, yk?😭😭
So as a guy, the fact that this ain't like a once a year thing is insane to me. Like this happens every month holy crap y'all putting up with this 😭😭😭 y'all deserve better
It's actually not that bad..once you get used to it. some women are different than others and période time varies. some women usually go for around 3-7 days, and others 7-10 days. It's really not as bad as it seemed, but still, pretty bad.
My period: Day before: cramps, headache, bad moods/emotional Day 1-4: a lot of blood, tiredness, cramps, chocolate cravings, stressed easily Day 5: getting better, less blood, still kinda tired tho Day 6: much less blood, more active, getting stuff done Day 6 (before bed): It’s over!!! 🥳 Day 7 (in the morning): nvm…
Ok as a guy I had no freaking clue that women's cycles are so up and down. Mad props to all my sisters. You all are beautiful, empathetic, and general bad asses and you do this with some mad chemistry that would put most guys under the table.
Every man should watch it to better understand their counterparts. Especially the emotional element. Instead of tracking just the period week, one should track all the elements shown in this video. It'll help in making better relationships. When you already know that other person is going through emotional fatigue there is more chance of acceptance.

As a teenage boy, I feel so much for you, it's amazing how you girls all deal with these hormone changes and cramps while going about your daily lives # respect!
As a female I can honestly say that I feel annoyed by the hormonal changes and cannot get balanced in my life. I don't know if other females feel the same. These changes are internal and affect every aspect of life
You are not alone. At the beggining of every romantic relationship of mine I always warn the boy that there is a moment in every month when I am angry and want to break up - he has to be patient and don't take it seriously. :D
1:03 Science actually says that at ovulation you experience euphoria, extreme energy and motivation "ovulation euphoria". Women have to take these period effects with a lot of caution because there is a lot of pseudo science, confirmation-bias of gender stereotypes attached to it which makes women act these signs unconscioustly the "nocebo effect". PMS which is related to period, was proven to be a completely fabricated mental illness, so many women still believe in this myth and no one is talking about how this is a scandal. Much like the misogynistic creation of a mental illness called "hysteria" in the 19th century associated to only women, which aimed to depict all women as hysterical. This disgusting stereotype still continues to this day and men love to use that against us. Unfortunately, women who they succeed to gaslight often end up believing they have today's hysteria- PMS. Society wants to make women believe they are mentally weak and hysterical due to their periods. Women don't underestimate yourself, we are actually factually more mentally-stable than the male population, we are less prone to serious mental illnesses and snap out of them more frequently than men, there are reasons why. Did you actually know than men's hormonal cycle fluctuation happens EVERY FREAKING DAY. And they have the audacity to claim our monthly slow hormonal fluctuation makes us "hormonal" and "crazy" and male lovely psychologist invented fake mental illnesses to gaslight us.
@@jihanoski Yes there is an extensive history of misogyny and a tyrannical patriarchy, but we're not all 'in on it' and doing our best to oppress women. A lot of your points are extreme opposites and just not helpful at all.
Oh totally! I get so frustrated when I know I’m overreacting to something small-then I get angry at myself and I feel ashamed. It’s normal cycle stuff.
@@jihanoski maybe you don’t experience mood swings but I do. I recognized a pattern of always being hungover when my period starts. Then I realized that it’s because I get the feeling of being depressed and anxiety one or two days prior to my period and that’s why I tend to go out and drink on these days. How can it be placebo?
I wish my school educated me more about how period affects my daily life, because now as an adult I have days where I feel fatigue and have certain cravings time to time, with the pressure of society demanding me to be in my top performance daily feels tough and I was beating myself up a lot for not being able to power through like others and also not having the energy to exercise well all the time but then I discovered this is a normal thing that happens to women monthly, and now I feel less insane like oh so that was whats going on in my body, thank goodness, thank you for this video, I am still learning about period and how it affects my body
@@mooose3840 No, I don't think so. That only happened once, thankfully. It's been between 5-8 days the past couple of periods. I've been known to have an irregular period, though
Yup, imagine how hard it is to be told at 11 that for about the next 45 years ur gonna bleed for once a month for (it’s around 7-8 days for me) and that ur gonna get cramps and mood swings and in general, just a WHOLE lot of pain. It’s a lot to think about when your only a kid.

@THEwhimsical1 Same here, and my cycle lasts longer, about 30~32 days. It was really annoying when my period switched up. When my family planned to swim, I often can't join them. It started when I was 9, and now my period has been settled. Now I am 12,at this age most girls start their puberty, so...I felt lucky for you can enjoy your "childhood "for +3 years. Good luck.
Struggles, after my 2nd period in 14 it just disappeared for 3 months. Sometimes it still skip 1 month or sometimes it comes 1-2 weeks earlier. bruh I can't even estimate when does it comes so attending swimming class is such a struggle
I was super irregular my didn't come for 2 years after my first period then I started getting concern so I went to the doctor and got prescribed birth control and within the first month of taking it came back.
@@vallerina_2 I'm sorry to say, but on birth control the hormones actually make a "fake period'.

That's why in the Bible it tells the husbands to live with your wife in knowledge
Good on you for taking the time to educate yourself. I am also thankful that we have virtually unlimited resources on the internet to strengthen both knowledge and empathy.
Thx for taking the time to educate yourself to think periods are not gross because it's how women clean there body

I am crying! I'm also at that point in my cycle 🤣 oh womanhood
This is lovely, as I am on day 1 rn :)
I never get emotional before my period starts. So it's even more annoying when people act childish like "Oh, must be the time of the month again?" as if a woman is not allowed to act or react a certain way throughout the whole month.
Why do you assume you're not allowed to act or react a certain way?

@@jihanoski maybe you don’t experience mood swings but I do. I recognized a pattern of always being hungover when my period starts.
