No thanks, people again don't understand the doors they opening ... Just like when they bring the rainbows and unicorns, they didn't see it coming, but was planned... Poor unicorns. Only if you understand consequences!!
and then when it comes to having a baby, it should happened NOW, and they have no idea about preparation (heavy metal and chemical detox, increasing minerals, testing for nutritional deficiencies) six - 8 months beforehand much less when they ovulate. It is a type of literacy that is really missing.
@@consciouspreconception334I feel that most women actually seek medical advice when trying to have a baby, or read up about it, particularly if they've been struggling to fall pregnant. They then find out about their cycle and when they should be trying to get pregnant.
Yes! The comments under this video prove that. I see so many fellow women spreading myths and misinformation and other women taking their word for it. 😩
In a world where nobody acknowledges the true biological differences between men and women, this snippet was a real breath of fresh air. And how you said women’s ability to carry a baby for months and produce life is a beautiful characteristic that men don’t have, and that it’s a super power which makes the cycle a beautiful thing, not a thing to look down upon… I wanted to cry. What a respectful way to think about it. Our differences (male and female) are what make us beautiful and unique and powerful. When the culture erases those differences saying we’re all the same, it just takes that beauty from distinctiveness away.
Nahhh this world still has Russia, Middle east & some numbered countries in South asia. They still recognize & acknowledge the true biological diff between MALE & FEMALE
''Irritable'' is a kind word for the week before your mensural cycle. I feel downright homicidal sometimes. It's always nice when I realize WHY I'm feeling like that...I can breath a sigh of relief that I'm not going totally insane.
I heard that heavy PMS is actually a condition, called PMDD (can't remember exactly what it stands for...) and one of the symptoms can be suicidal thoughts during the week before your periods. Mama Doctor Jones (obgyn on yt) talks a little about it so I would definitely recommend 😊
And what NO ONE addresses really (though she touched a tiny bit on this in the video) is the REAL reason why you would feel homicidal. Which is, you are in CONSTANT go mode and operating strictly on masculine energy. Unless you REGULARLY take REAL breaks during your down time, like during menstruation, I mean when you do NOTHING! And wait for your energt to rise back up naturally, instead of popping pills and march on through busy, hectic, unsustainable lifestyle we are all living in these days, I PROMISE you, you won't feel as suicidal or homicidal.
You can get killed in those moments. Just know that. Respect and proper distance not managed when your Ill or merging into into a cycle 🔄 this powerful, can trigger fight or flight. Unselected males are not your protectors or your punching bags.
It is not sexist to acknowledge this difference between men and women. If women understood their cycles more we'd be more in power in our femininity. Changed my life. It IS wonderful! Good job on taking notes and it's inspiring to see a man appreciate being informed on this! 🎉❤
It's not sexist to acknowledge it, but in my experience, men mostly acknowledge it in a sexist way. Many of us have had our cycle is used as a reason to brush off our thoughts and concerns. Hopefully, the people this video reaches uses it appropriately.
@@mikochild2 that's just the thing. If even women who go thru the experience don't feel secure, aware and empowered enough in knowing who we are in our natural patterns and cycles, the patriarchal outer world gets the say on what our moods mean. My cycles destroyed my relationships until I understood what I needed to be doing for myself. Then it became a source of power. Girls should be taught much much more than how to use a tampon. Our monthly moon cycle is a magical life-creating wonder ❤️
@kookaburrafabulous yes girls need to know. Girls knowing things don't always change how men treat them though. So again, hopefully the men who use this use it for good.
The part that's sexist is 1) When ppl try to tell you how you're supposed to feel depending on your cycle when the fluctuations of moods don't apply to all women. Some of us just don't experience PMS 2) When men in our lives(most not even knowing our cycle) try to blame PMS for their own culpability
Period Day 1-10 outgoing, energetic, more myself, better cognitive abilities Day 11-17ovulation (horny, body trying to make baby), skin glowing, most beautiful, heightened desire to seek love interests Day 18- 23, mood getting lower, getting more introverted, prone to depression, need to stay away from overstimulation Day 24-30 extra care needed, low self esteem, sensitive, desire to spend time around comfort people (potential to form the closest emotional bonds)
As a man, this is actually very helpful. I’ve been selfish in thinking it’s me doing something wrong. I had no clue a woman’s menstrual cycle was this important to learn about. Much appreciated!
I'm gonna do women out there a favour and say this woman is not entirely right: leave her alone on Days 1 AND 2. She's still bleeding pretty heavily on Day 2, so it's best to delay difficult conversations until at least Day 3, or better yet - wait until her period is over (anywhere between Day 4 and 8).
The fact that I learned all this on my own from personal experience is crazy. I listened to my body and now that I’m hearing this everything makes sense.
My hubby knows when my period is coming and is Soooo prepared for it. He buys me chocolates because he knows I crave for it when I have my periods. I am 52 & still get my period and 31 years married & my hubby understands my cycle like a pro. He gives my space and when I am done he gets rewarded 😁😁😁
Hi, my period is still regular. I use to have my periods for 3 days but now it's 5 days and first two days very heavy. I think I use more sanity pads now than I use to. I can't wait for the day it ends forever. Menopause is what I am dreading most. 😁
@charlenejulius8501 I'm almost 44, and I have 3/4 day periods, too. I started at age 12, so in many ways, I'm looking forward to not having a period anymore. I'm not looking forward to the dreaded hot flashes though. Good job I live in London where it's cold most of the year, I might save some money on heating bills if I'm always having a hot flash. 🤣🤣🔥
No , I don't think so at my age. Maybe in my 40's yes but one still had to be careful. I can't fall pregnant because hubby had a Vastomy 28 years ago..Good question though
My husband also knows when my period is coming,it has resolved alot of the issues we used to have, he knows when to avoid me when am cranky and I have learnt to communicate with him, flowers when I am feeling crappy and when I am out of the 'slomp' ,we gonna have a gooooood time 🎉😂. I didn't realise the impact it was causing my family but now I completely get it😊
Day 1, 2 (1-4 - depends on a woman/ cycle) - give her some space Day 3-12 - resolve conflicts (she's more verbal, more present, more outgoing, wants to connect, ready to handle conflicts) + the time to wine and dine her Day 10-15 (ovulation) - have sex (her libido's the highest) Day 15-28/ 32 - be really nice, compliment her (she'll disagree but keep going), rub her feet, be supportive
Day 2 is the heaviest bleeding day though 😩. You better not try to have a serious conversation with me while I’m laid up with a heating pad, bloated, and tired 🤬😡😓
I thought she said in the beginning that day 1-2 are the ones when exactly NOT to talk to a woman during her cycle cause that's the heaviest bleeding. But yeah I'm with you girls, day 2 is usually horrible 🫡🥲
I really wish workplaces understood this, and even more how crazy and painful endometriosis is! The amount of times I've been punished for being in extreme pain is too many to count, and it should never happen.
This is just a snippet of a 2 hour long interview which was excellent and I highly suggest watching the full interview. She mentions how in Spain, recently, they have passed legislation allowing women 3 day paid menstrual leave each month. Man that would be so nice to have!!
My Daughter is living with Endo.. I've seen what that does to a Woman. Fertility problems and pain. This is a very big concern. Over a million women in the UK now suffer this dibilitating desease. Something is causing this.. I suspect the pill. 😢
I’ve been living with endo for six years and only started taking birth control earlier this year so I don’t know how that would have caused it. Suspiciously though my grandmother and aunt also suffered with uterine problems. It’s almost as if it’s mainly caused by genetics 🤔
@@MapleLeafsGirl77while I feel that would be a great idea for women with diagnosed menstrual disorders, it's completely unnecessary for the average woman. I have very heavy periods now and I'm terrified of leaks but up until I was around 30 years old, there would have been zero need for me to be taking 3 days off work on my period. A couple of ibuprofen and permission to slip off to the bathroom when needed would have been absolutely the height of it.

What is really sad about some of those young women not aware of their cycle is that a lot of them get tagged with psych diagnosis when it’s really her fluctuating hormones. If they strive to fix the fluctuations the mental health issues will most likely vastly improve or disappear entirely. Junk food and caffeine are to blame for a lot of hormonal problems. Lights at night and interruptions to the natural circadian rhythms also affect her hormones. It’s SO important to be informed with what is happening in your body. I think men have hormonal issues as well but it’s also not very well known. You will hear about guys trying to get fit taking various substances that will cause them to not act like themselves-violent. Perhaps men sitting in prison today have a hormonal issue? I have a hunch that MOST mental health issues are caused by hormonal disruptions than anything else. That’s just a guess though. We don’t understand enough about the effects of hormones on our behaviors thoughts and feelings.
Most guys are getting heavy doses of estrogen in their daily diet. Soy is estrogen. After my historectomy they told me if I took estrogen I still had to come in for my yearly exam. I cut out soy. For men it is a chemical castration. Lowers their ability to produce testosterone and fertility. Enjoy all those junk foods and processed foods. Its like male birth control.
The same can be said for most Americans, men and women. We would not need many of these meds if we had proper nutrition. Gut bacteria affects our hormones as well, thus our moods. This is why you should not get psyche meds from the same doctor who prescribes you eczema cream. Unfortunately due to how the American health care system is set up, many have no choice. When my uncle died my dad was depressed. The doctor suggested anti depressants to help him get through it. It was only after a month of grieving. Imagine telling someone they should take meds for a proper human reaction. Training is overlooked for the sake of saving money.
In the case you bring up it is the hormone insulin. People don't realize when you eat a high carb diet those high blood sugar and high insulin levels adversely affects the brain, mood and body.
As a guy it is almost like people hide this information away.I understand it would be a uncomfortable conversation but it is way too important to be completely ignored
I didn’t realize how my husband didn’t know anything about my cycle hormones for years. Wish I would have explained it to him right away in our marriage
My period last 5 days with 3 days of heavy bleeding and cramps. It’s difficult each month to go through but having an understanding partner can make a lot of difference.
I was 47 years old until I truly understood my body! It’s ridiculous moms don’t teach this to their daughters- if you know - do better. So many women suffer not knowing their bodies and how to take care of themselves. Definitely should be more conversations about this and for others to more understanding about overall in society!
I'm 28 and I'm not starting to keep track of my cyrcle on a app, I cam even add my mood and if I have any symptoms like headache or if I'm super tired. I will also treach my daughter about this (she is still a Baby at the moment) and my son
What? Teach? When I told my mum I had my 1st cycle, the first thing she said don't throw the tampons/ towels through the toilet, it's embarrassing to call the plumber for this".There is no mention of any education about it.
I'm a senior citizen now but my mom told me at age10, and told me correctly. She had Been uneducated about it (European and not discussed back then) but my dad explained it all to her. He got his info as an enlisted military msn. Bless the Military.
I love how he is actually taking notes, I mean it isn't surprising. This is a man that continuously want to learn and better himself. But it is refreshing to feel like a woman's needs isn't pushed to the sideline, or considered "a lot of work".
There was a lot of destruction in my marriage until we figure it out my cycle. When I finally learned to put it on the calendar and was able to anticipate the week before our marriage improved tenfold
If someone asks me if I'm on my period just because I'm having a bad day, then I will ex-communicate them from my life. It's innocent in theory, but in practice it can make women feel like you don't take their opinions seriously and will only blame it on hormones.
totally. it COULD be an innocent question, but most of the time it’s asked in a condescending way. when a guy says it it feels like “oh, are you having that Girl Problem that i don’t actually care to know anything about”
I’m so glad to hear you say menstruation lasts from 3-7 days. I come from at least 4 generations of women with heavy, terrible cycles, lots of pain. I had a doctor argue with me that there’s no way that my period lasts 5-7 days because periods are only 3-4 days long & accused me of exaggerating for sympathy. I guess when women go to the doctor with female health issues we are only there for “sympathy” not for actual answers or health care. 😳🤬 I’m against violence, got crap for breaking up fights in high school; however, I still wish I’d kicked that man in his “fake” balls. It absolutely would’ve been worth going to juvenile court; hell it would’ve been worth going to adult jail.
Mine lasted 10 days in the first years of my period. It decreased to 7 days after 4 years. Now I am 26 and it is 5 days. It is totally normal. I hope that you will find a better doctor. Gaslighting girls and women are so common in medical field.
The male "period" is daily and yearly. High testosterone around 8am and it goes down to it's lowest around 8pm. Very individualistic and in charge in the early morning. Individualistic less in charge afternoon. Cooperative by night. I haven't looked extensively into the yearly one as much as the daily. Thanks for the reminder to look into that one.
WOW. Do you have some more information about this? Or point me into some direction? Your comment made me realize some things about myself in terms of daily struggles.
@@purplelove3666 well, there is epididymal hypertension, otherwise known as blue balls. Essentially, an extended period of sexual tension without release causes buildup, which is actually very painful. Note that for men, there will be situations where men get random erections, so this can be a problem more often than one might think.
I like how her husband respects her boundaries when she needs time to herself rather than him pushing her buttons and trying to force her to do things she doesn’t have the bandwidth for. It would feel nice to be understood like that.
I feel so normal now 🙂 literally every month the last couple years I’ve been frantically researching my menstrual hormones cause they’ve gotten more intense as I get older, and I’ve at times felt so insane and just not like myself. Physically and emotionally. Now I’m learning how my body works more and how important it is to listen to it
This has been my experience too. Im 37 & stopped the pill, so ny period went from 4 days/week to 6-7 with worse symptoms, heavier bleeding & more fatigue. My friend told me thats normal.
@@SlothsDontLieMindy said few women know what their cycle is. I would argue, even fewer know the pill messes that cycle up. From what I understand, it basically tricks the body into thinking it's pregnant.
My daughter has recently gone low carb for her husband’s health issues but has found she benefits so much. Her pain has almost disappeared & her heavy bleeding has lessened to a manageable flow.
Same here! I've got my yearly soon, gonna be asking for Progesterone only pill. I began experiencing migraines a few years ago. After cutting alcohol completely, hydrating, and keeping track- still comes around 1x a month... Can you guess when? I feel insane, too. These doom and gloom mood swings the week before is unforgiving and at times puts me behind 2-3 days. Everything is uglier, out of each, depressing, etc. So I'm trying the Progesterone only pill first (estrogen is likely cause for hormonal migraines). And if that doesn't work, I might quit the pill, but I'm not ready at 31 after being on it for 16 years... A bit scared to stop :( I feel like I don't know myself as it is. Who knows how I'll feel off the pill 😮
My cycle is only 21 days given peri-menopause. I bleed for 7 days. Totally it causes a change in personality! Seriously men, take this up and take care and help women. Men are clueless about blood loss and how it impacts them. Have mercy on us and our moods. That’s why God wanted you to lead to support women!
@@kim_i_said6598There shouldn’t be that much pain. Your hormones may need some help being regulated, through diet change or herbs. A combination of both healed my endometriosis and extreme cramps. @@faithofamustardseed8198 I struggle with extreme cramps. What herbs have helped you? I've been introducing kimchi and fermented foods in my diet in an effort to help myself. Any other recommendations please?

Learning my cycle was a game changer. I know when I can get pregnant and when I can't. I can also tell my husband what day I'm on and he knows what it means because we took the Fertility Awareness Method class together.
Hi @@anastasiaogomaka3717, are you asking how I know when I can and cannot get pregnant? If so the simple explanation is that while I headed towords ovulation (usually around day 21 for me, different for everyone) I have more cervical fluid and then after I ovulate my basal body temperature goes up around 0.5*F and I don't have so much CF any more. There is more science to this but that's the basics.
My boyfriend knows my cycle inside and out. He’s a super masculine “man’s man”, but that doesn’t stop him from being sympathetic to my plight. Plus, knowing what’s going on helps him a lot.
It makes me feel so bad when I become so moody and just overall not so comfortable to be around. Or when I snap, it’s hard to apologize with “I’m near my period”. But if the men and women in my life were more understanding, I feel that it would be so much easier to socialize in those moments. Especially when I fail and I can’t get my work done, I already take it out so hard on myself. I often forget that I’m near my cycle.
I can only speak to my own experience, but many of the schools I've been involved with have abstinence-only sex ed, because apparently ignorance is preferable? 🤔🤷🏽♀...and learning about the menstrual cycle gets lost in that. When I was a kid the girls learned about it in the 5th grade, and then everyone got sex-ed in the 6th grade where it was gone over again. Now, it would seem that complaining about boys and girls learning about their bodies and how they work, how to avoid pregnancy and STIs, etc is the only interaction some parents have with the school(s) their kids go to, unless they're there to ban a book or something. It's so sad. But the information is freely available all over the place for anyone who wants to know, and I wish more people would check it out because ignorance certainly isn't bliss, I hear some woefully ignorant sh*t all too often.
As a woman who has mood swings I disagree that it is up to others to be mindful, or even be told what your cycle is like it’s something they need to tiptoe around! It is for the lady to be a bit more self aware and thoughtful of others that her moods and sensitivity might create social upsets. She needs to be responsible for her own actions. If she’s feeling down or sensitive, she should speak to her spouse, communicate and maybe apologise if she’s being overly sensitive. Be an adult woman. Not a victim of your hormones. You are your own responsibility. My two cents.
I agree! I would hate to have a boss and co-workers put up their menstrual chart with instructions on how I am to interact with them each day of the month and even worse, i would hate to be expected to post my own menstrual chart for everyone to see. I’m in my 50’s and have been able to work and work with women without us ever even hinting about our menstrual cycles. We worked based on social standards of etiquette not based on ever changing cycles. We women are adults capable of regulating our behavior and emotions despite cycles.
@@bluemoon4944 if you have calendars up with your cycle and expectations of how people should treat you through each step of the cycle then that is tiptoeing. Based on her calendar for one full week people have to lavish her with pampering. Isn’t that narcissistic? For another week no one should address problems with her (unrealistic expectation), and only one week can people expect her to be fully productive in work and only one week can people expect her to really be happy and one week the men in her he office have to keep their heads down because she is going to feel in full bloom with seduction. That’s just her cycle but what about a whole office of women? But wait she did say maybe she should hang HER cycle in the office for staff to see which shows her narcissism of wanting people to cater to her she doesn’t seem to care about everyone else’s cycle. That would be too much trouble. What she is proposing is highly narcissistic, self indulging, entitling, and irresponsible. Yes husbands need to know wives have hormonal changes constantly flowing through the body but it is up to the wife to regulate them just like it’s up to the man to regulate his testosterone rush when he sees a young beautiful woman in a miniskirt or it is his responsibility to regulate his testosterone when someone cuts him off in traffic, says something rude to him in the store, or when his kids argue or accidentally dent the car. Men and women both have hormones we have to deal with. Are women going to excuse a man when he lets his aggressive testosterone get out of control? Are women going to use the week in their cycle when they feel down and bloated to pamper the man because his testosterone is running high and needs a week of pampering and sx?
This is so true. I've been tracking my cycle & notice how fertile, creative & outgoing I am during ovulation. Unfortunately, my PMS kicked in right as work is ramping up a HUGE project integration. My whole body is slowing down, but work is ramping up. I got so stressed & depressed that I'm at home in pjs working. I wish our cycles were more honored in society so that it makes sense for a woman to take a few days to work from home (or off completely) to let her body rest. More hormonal education & ways to embrace it would make such a difference! xo
to me this is actually the biggest issue in the modern workplace that makes it uninclusive to women. there is an underlying expectation that women need to behave like men to be perceived as successful in the workplace, when in reality our bodies literally go through this 28-32 cycle program whether we like it or not. it is immensely draining to mask it and hide it. the workplace will always be a hostile place for women until this is fully embraced and addressed. women MUST be allowed to be inconsistent, otherwise we are denying the reality of their bodies.
The fact that women doing get more sick days because we have to deal with painful and uncomfortable periods every month makes me sad, I remember sitting in my office cubicle so uncomfortable just counting the minutes I could go home and lay in bed
Since I had my daughter I don’t get any pains any more which is amazing. It’s mainly the pms symptoms I get 10-12 days before the period that turn me into a a different person and is really hard. Mood swings, irritability, fatigue, tearfulness, emotionally sensitive, food cravings that ruin my health goals I’ve been sticking to the rest of the month. I feel like I only get about 5 days of feeling amazing before it starts all over again 😂 a good diet and exercise does really help but it’s hard to keep it up when you feel like that.
@@ramonaneyrinck2292 it’s really strange. I never believed women who said they felt no pain but now I know it’s possible 😂 I might get the odd mild ache or discomfort but no really painful cramps and never require painkillers.
@@Aliciae411 Given that the uterus contracts to shed the lining during our periods similarily to how it contracts to deliver a baby, I wonder if the experience of childbirth could perhaps either 1- tone the uterus so that it is then more efficient in shedding the lining painlessly during periods, or 2- render the cramps of periods not perceived as painful any longer simply by comparaison. I don't know, merely theorizing... :) Also, again just my only slightly educated 2 cents, but if the progesterone dominated part of your cycle hits you so hard, I'm thinking maybe your body makes more than the average woman (either you are progesterone dominant... or just more sensitive to it), and you could perhaps benefit from including flax seeds to your diet on those days. Flax seeds are considered a phyto-estrogen (meaning they mimic estrogen in our body), so they could help balance out any "excess" progesterone that may be causing your low mood post-ovulation... Again, I do not know this positively, but I know that for myself (not enough progesterone in relation to estrogen), I have to be very careful eating flax seeds the week before my period is due, lest it has been known to come early. So reverse engineering my personal experience, I'm hypothezing that in your case, they might help... :)
@@JayeMallard619 I think it has to do with, before children, the cervix and tissue is tighter and the uterus has to work hard to shed what is in it. After childbirth, things have stretched a bit, so the uterus does not have to work as hard to shed the lining and push it through the cervix.
@@truthnotlies I don’t think that’s accurate. In most cases everything shrinks back to pre pregnancy shape and size like it’s supposed to. Probably due to the body having experienced much bigger and difficult contractions during birth that menstruation is easy compared to that and it knows what to do better
My husband saved my life by tracking my cycle. I would go through periods of deep depression and would be suicidal. We noticed that those feelings went away immediately before I started to bleed. Maybe a few hours in between. He started charting my cycle and realized that I was only suicidal on the 2-3 days before I got my period and started helping me deal with it. Now I take hormonal bc to stop my periods (and the terrible mood changes) altogether because there just wasn’t any other solution to my symptoms. I was afraid I would do something horrible if I didn’t stop the mood swings. Now I wonder if there other options…
check what you are eating. It may be coming from something external, such as food, that is causing an even greater imbalance in your hormones that there needs to be, causing it to go from extreme highs to extreme lows.
This is called PMDD and there absolutely are other options. It has been my experience (living with PMDD for 20 years), that your best bet if you’ve tried birth control and SSRI’s as well as tweaks to your lifestyle (diet and exercise), and either don’t see improvements or don’t want to be on bcp’s or ssri’s long-term is to seek out an integrative or functional medicine doctor (someone with some traditional medical training and naturopathic training). They will do the actual work of looking at your hormones and vitamins/minerals etc that could contribute to your sensitivity to those fluctuations of your hormones leading up to your period. For me, my progesterone - while not technically deficient - was low in relation to my estrogen levels causing me extremely debilitating anxiety/paranoia, depression, body dysmorphia etc. It is likely I’ve had low progesterone my whole adult life as supplementing with it eliminated 98% of my symptoms. I can’t begin to explain how useless “traditional” medical doctors have been in treating it. It took me until 27yo to get a diagnosis and then another 7 years of trying all the “first line” treatments (birth control and SSRI’s - neither of which help, and I can’t tolerate birth control), before finally finding a doctor who discovered this progesterone to estrogen ratio discrepancy. Some women can’t tolerate progesterone, but it is my firm belief that it something feels wrong and is debilitating, than you’re right - something is WRONG. And it’s not your fault. Wishing you the best of luck 🙏
Keep in mind that it doesn't apply to every woman. I'm never irritable the week before my period, I can feel depressed the day before sometimes but that's it. Not everybody is affected the same way by the hormones
I think it's also affected by our mental state and environment as well. I honestly thought I had PMDD from August to December last year because I had never experienced PMS so badly before, I had so many thoughts of if I would die and it really was unbearable, I thought I was going through early menopause and it scared me because I'm 30 and have no kids I worried that I will never be a mother. It was because of this that I learned so much about my own cycle. But I'm back to normal again 🙏🏼😊I've made some life changes since then and I no longer feel that bad during my lutheal phase.
So many people - men and women- downplay the menstrual cycle and how important it is to know and understand it. I learnt a way to look at it was like a report card. Each month a woman's body is giving her a report card of what might be going on inside. Things like pain and very heavy bleeding and very short or long cycles can suggest there are other things going on. Men don't get that report card and sometimes if there's something going on they dont know until it's serious.
As a man , it is our choice and be independent women and don't judge man if they don't know about periods. Have I used those words that you women preach men ?

I can definitely relate to this, it makes life easy when women are self aware, can identify and communicate the changes in their bodies/emotions to those around them. I’m the only girl in my house & so my hubby and teenage boys know all there is to know about my cycle and how they can be around and with me during the various phases.
Good for you teaching your boys about how to respond to a menstruating woman. Eventually they will have wives in their lives and they will already be taught how to respond.
Got teary eyed watching this 🥲 Yep, day 19 for me 😁🙈 bracing myself for next week. The interviewer's reaction was very heartwarming. We need to spread awareness about this. It may save marriages, children from trauma, and maybe even some lives. This is not rocket science, everyone can understand this. I strive to organize my life around my cycle - it's life changing. So much less unnecessary self inflicted problems 💃 I'm sharing this with everyone 👍💪
Don’t normally comment but felt it was worth sharing a little on this in case anyone else is similar and worrying. My periods have consistently lasted 7/8 days and I have a 26 day cycle. With my 2nd pregnancy I bought ovulation sticks to find my peak ovulation days and according to the sticks I don’t ovulate (on my 3rd pregnancy so clearly not true 😅) but when I track when I was having sex and getting pregnant turns out I ovulate consistently on day 20/21 of my cycle. There’s so much variation and knowing your own body is always a plus ❤ appreciate this topic being brought up and discussed in such a respectful way 👍🏼
There used to be an app called red alert on iOS. It did exactly what this video was describing. It was fantastic. It would track my wife’s menstrual cycle and tell me specifically how to interact with her. It was overlayed on the calendar and I could use it to plan things. Really unfortunate that the app stopped being developed. If anybody has any new apps to do the same thing, please recommend.
This was exactly what I needed and explains almost to the T what I’ve been experiencing. As a woman I have never had my cycle explained in such a succinct and clear way. Thank you for this.
I've been paying for the Flo app for over a year to track my period. I didn't know how tethered my emotions and energy levels were to my cycle. It's amazing. I can plan events around changes in my hormones, know which days are best to dedicate to busy work and others to fun. It gives me the feeling of control over my moods and body. I absolutely love it and I don't know how I've been without it for so long. It's crazy how no other woman I know personally does this or is knowledgeable about how their cycle works.
@Cremesure12 Yeah, I just like to pay for all the extra features and charts. And I like supporting apps that are most useful to me if I have the means.
To all the beautiful women out there❤ When i learned about my cycle my whole relationship with my body changed. Instead of judging myself i started to appreciate my body and give my body permission to be instead of to do all the time. If you have not read the book in the flow please do read it. It can give more information about your cycle. Whenever i get a chance i spread the information with my sisters and it is a true taking power back session for any ladies 🎉
Yeah actually 21-27 is most common from what i read in medical literture. 32-38 less common but normal as well. I went from 38 to 25 as i moved closer to menopause age.. so it gets shorter as you age i guess
Asking a woman what day of her cycle she's in could backfire. She might not appreciate the idea she's "hormonal" when that is sometimes used to discredit women.
As a diabetic, I'm glad that you're also talking about glucose. My sudden night-lows are making a lot more sense, though the drop in insulin sensitivity during/a little before the first day is still a bit difficult for me to understand.
What she’s not mentioning is that Women’s cycles are meant to match the lunar cycles. If we didn’t have light pollution, pollution in the environment and birth control, Most women would ovulate during a full moon( hence the honeymoon) and menstruate during a new moon. Women embody the divine feminine. They have a spring summer fall winter. Winter being menstruation and Summer being ovulation. So see where you cycle matches with the lunar cycle. Hope this helps.
I literally just realized I get my period during the new moon. I felt so coool! Lol When the moon is dark I’m dark and when the moon is bright I’m bright lol
Man, this is SO good! This conversation needs to be had so much more by men and women so that, like Steven, more empathy can be shown and so that there can be greater degrees of understanding between us.
Period Day 1-10: outgoing, energetic, more myself, better cognitive abilities Day 11-17: ovulation (horny, body trying to make a baby), skin glowing, most beautiful, a heightened desire to seek love interests Day 18-23: mood getting lower, getting more introverted, prone to depression, need to stay away from overstimulation Day 24-30: extra care needed, low self-esteem, sensitivity, desire to spend time around comfort people (potential to form the closest emotional bonds)
I’ve had Parkinson’s since 39 years, 57 this year. Gut health for me is paramount for meds absorption. Dr Mindy’s conversation with you Stephen unlocked many answers as to why I (or the meds) responded in very different ways when I appear to be keeping the same routine. For example, my meds work brilliantly if I eat once a day and poorly if I eat albeit a small lunch and dinner. Weight gain has been a huge anxiety trait for me over the past three years so I believe her guide to all stages of fasting can be of benefit to both body and mind. Your recent pod casts on self help have been enlightening, thought provoking and utterly fascinating. I hope everyone presses the subscribe button and you realise your 50% target soon.
This is such a much needed conversation for us to be having; especially, since the lines are being blurred between men and women. It goes to show, we all need an education about our bodies and how they function, so we can get along better.
Just watched this with my partner and it is so spot on! He has always been understanding of my mood swings around my period, and we talk so openly already, but this has really hit the nail on the head
Fascinating stuff. I'm 50 and have ALWAYS been confused about my "cycle," not only ignorant of what that means (cycle is not the same thing as period) but also my personal timing (because for most of my life I've been irregular. But I clicked on this video to see what I could learn because my daughter is just beginning her journey and I thought I could get some insight for her sake. It turns out we're not ready for this information (she's only 12) but I still learned something. On a lovely side note, I'm ending my journey as my daughter begins hers. I've only had a few periods over the last year. It had been probably around 6 months since my last period but suddenly the day my daughter got her first period, I got what will probably be my last. I love that I could share that with her.. kinda felt like I was passing the baton.
What a beautiful motherly heart you have for your daughter 🥺❤️ I find that my mother does things for me that she hasn’t been able to do when she was my age. A mother’s strength and heart is truly one of a kind. Your daughter is so very lucky to have you!!
So true!! I'm definitely very sensitive before my period to where I was younger I would think I'm genuinely depressed or suicidal even and I didn't understand that it was hormones till I was older. It's nice that people are openly talking about things like this.
Diet makes the higgest difference in my monthly mood. Had a time eating all the junk food then was ready to quit my job and jump off a building. Whole food high fiber diet and havent had a spell since. Not to mention the lack of cramps.
Yes a lot of women have that. That is why i jate such a conversations, because the man now gonna think she has her period around 30 days. Plus i women use birth control...
I honestly loved everything about this conversation. I myself as a women, only recently started learning more about my cycle and how it FULLY functions. Videos like these help spread awareness not only to men(about the complexities of women’s moods & cycles), but also serve as an encouragement to women to learn more about how empowering understanding your body really Is!❤️✨
I love this. In the locker room in high school a conversation with another girl made me realize she did not know her own anatomy. I swore right there any future daughters I had would be not be confused over her own body.
I really loved this conversation. However, my perspective is that it's not up to the world around me to adjust to my circle. Instead, as a woman, I see it as a tool for self-regulation & self-discovery.
Very true. I also wouldn't want my cycle on a chart being shared with coworkers so they can blame all my behavior as a result of me being a slave to my hormones. I'd like to believe I'm a little more in control of myself than that!
I agree. It’s nice maybe for a husband to understand a bit to help us out, be encouraging or extra gentle when we’re down, because that’s just what we should do for one another, but I don’t feel like my spouse or family needs to tip toe around me, instead I can use the information to help me choose self care and self control I need to apply.
I agree with you to an extent. I think this is a great way for the people around us to give us grace instead it being them adjusting to us. As women, we carry so much on our own. This could be a great way to get the support we need from the people around us, just as we support them.
Knowledge of the hormonal cycle by everyone is awesome. However, at the same time the last thing I want are people just assuming that my actions at any given point in time are due to my hormones and to then disregard what I’m actually trying to say or accomplish. No thank you. I’d rather have a meet me in the middle approach. I do my part to manage my emotions and energy, communicate clearly to those around me what I need (as she models in this video…yay! ❤) and then receive empathy and compassion from them. That’s it.
I’m so happy to see this get some much needed awareness! Women’s health and hormones are so important and not talked about nearly enough. And men should be aware too so they can be more respectful, supportive and empathetic. Makes them better fathers, sons, partners and humans 🙏🏽
You met any men who show empathy. In the last days men shall be lovers of themselves. We be in the last days. And if they do it is only till they put that ring on your finger then they change. Immediately they start thinking they made a mistake and then just to fulfill their doubts they start behaving in a self fulfilling of those doubts. Listen to this women you will be leaving with 6 kids in tow.
Better fathers? You mean for their daughters? BETTER SONS? LOL. No that goes way too far. Sorry I just don't see that at all. But feel free to enlighten me how a son needs to be cautious of their mothers' menstruation cycle.
@@SevenTheMisgiven If someone you love has needs you don’t understand it’s supportive and loving to learn more. The hormone fluctuations. The pains of cramping. Feeling more sensitive. Its absolutely supportive to understand these needs better. My husband is incredibly supportive and nurturing to my health and I to his and us to our kids and parents. Menstruation is part of women’s health and deserves respect. But you do you dear.
If I would have known what I know now as a teenager a lot of pain and suffering could have been avoided. I was so confused as to why I was constantly monthly going through highs and lows. Turns out it’s just biological now as an adult I handle it so much better with what I know about Menstruation 🤷🏽♀️
Definitely cycle shouldn't become an excuse to be unbalanced. the knowledge is to learn to control and balance it. already from listening to it i feel better and even motivated. we just have to know when we have to nurture us and when we should use all our potential and energy nature gives us. instead of wasting it on complaining and overworking. thats what its for. to work together with it to reach our full potential as women, men, humans, partners, family, society, and civilization
As a man , it is our choice and be independent women and don't judge man if they don't know about periods. Have I used those words that you women preach men ?
@@gurunaveen2647 that’s obviously any man’s right and choice. I’m stating my opinion as I think it’s best practice and would help any hetero relationship. I’m also aware of men’s hormonal cycles so it’s not a double standard for me personally.
I think this kind of knowledge and approach is genius! Nowadays we have lost contact with what makes us truly humans because we dont wanna seem "needy" or "inappropriate" when indeed it has nothing to do with it... its just being humans! We are so obsessed to be hyper independent that we have forgotten its imposible to be so individualistic
Just thank you for bringing loving attention to one of the most overlooked and/or misunderstood aspects of being a woman. If men are smart they will listen and learn and they will realize the beauty and benefits of what a woman who feels valued and understood will bring to their life/relationship. A happy, loved, understood woman will give you the world.
Some women have a harder time with their menstrual cycles. I personally have always struggled with energy and torturous pain. Endometriosis runs in the family, but I have been diagnosed with PMDD, among other chronic illnesses. Sometimes, it's torturous pain, and sometimes, I'm energetic and a powerhouse when I bleed. Some women will even be more "romantic" in the bedroom while they are on their cycle. I still struggle with figuring out my hormonal cycles because it's always changing. If you wish to know more about your lady's cycle, please learn HER cycle days, not the "one size fits all" standard that everyone knows because it's always fluctuating. And for the love of God... it's just blood dudes, get over yourselves and respect like this man. Menstrual blood is even known to have healing properties in scientific studies, which is just magical 🌙
Just checked in my calender and I'm perfect on time😂. Started to note down my cycle after getting back my period after three years of cancer treatment and I'm glad to see how well my body works again. Eventhough I have a monster headache today and only want to eat chocolate.😅
I do not ask others to deal with my mestrual cycle (my husband is always caring anyway) but I do plan my month acordingly - activities, hollydays, extra works I have to do, social activities, doctor appointments... It helps to know my vulnerable time and not to push myself too hard and also my most energetic time for fun activities. It's hard for me to accept that my body is so complicated but that comes from upbringing and shaming.
Wow, putting an explanation to all of what I feel on monthly basis makes me feel better. I’m the type that deals with the symptoms asap cause life is too busy to sit and acknowledged them but we need to be gentle to ourselves. Will help me positively.
I honestly have a hard time understanding my own cycle, so thank you!! 🙏🏽 I can say I’m very lucky to have an understanding partner… he calls it my “womanhood” and HE was actually the one who pointed out that the times that I’m super emotional seem to be occurring at a certain time each month… 😂❤ “Do that til she bleeds!” Haha love it! ❤
The biggest thing I get from this really is how horrible and painful my last relationship was and how I didn't even expect him to care about me on human level
very happy this conversation is becoming more popular. I think soon we are really going to see how interesting the cycle is and how blind and in many cases harmful we have been in basically ignoring/shaming it in science and education for decades. Investing in quality science and education re the cycle would have to have massive public health benefits.
preach sister. I am an anthropologist with a PhD, and I am so so sad that this is not common knowledge for all of us especially women. Boo-boo boo to pour knowledge circulation and patriarchy, because these are gems of knowledge! And dead on. Could’ve save me so many troubles, both in life love and in therapy. A note to therapists: stop fabricating women’s mood disorders along side, their hormones! or both genders. we can do better for ourselves by spreading this kind of insight! Bravo.
Its a breathe of fresh air when a man knows his woman. I mean deeply especially when it comes down to being on her cycle and knowing what to do Instead of saying she has an attitude in provoking her. I would like to applaud this nice gentlemen for being open minded and willing to take notes kudos ❤❤❤❤
Listening to this conversation as a pregnant woman, I am fascinated by the simple breakdown and incredible information of a woman's cycle and the effects of women's and men's hormonal patterns. I would love to know more in this level of specific detail the hormonal changes in a woman throughout the duration of pregnancy, either week to week or through each trimester, and then also in the same level of detail the hormonal changes during the first month and subsequent 6 months postpartum as a woman's body works on returning back to it's normal/preexisting state and hormonal cycle, and if anything permanently changes after having a child and becoming a mother.
This is a powerful topic much needed. The menstral cycle is powerful. Most ppl know nothing about it. Not only should men know about their women's cycle, but when a group of women work together they should know each others date as well because it changes their environment, attitude, personalities and emotions. Women working or living amongst each other alters each other's menstral date, which eventually they all will likely have the menstral at the same time. Crazy!
This was really insightful. I usually feel weak and irritable a week prior to my menstrual cycle, and now I know that the body needs glucose because it's trying to produce progesterone! That's why I feel like energy is being zapped out of my body for the production of my period, and it's hard to work a fast paced job when my body doesn't have enough energy for it. I've been having this problem for so long. I've gone to doctors for this problem, and they conclude that my sudden spells of weakness are panic attacks and caused by anxiety, which they are not, and then they they try to coerce me into "taking something for it" which by that they mean antidepressants, which then I say no, and things go nowhere. I mean, I'm just going to try and add more glucose and carbs to my diet a week before my period, and see if that helps.
Yup! The closer I get the worse I feel energy wise. Currently me 2 days before my period laying in bed exhausted, no matter how long or well I sleep or how much coffee I drink. Just wanting food and lots of sleep 😴🫠
I taught myself at 19 by reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility. They don't teach you anything useful in school, I found. I read that one book and it was better than all the health classes I took combined in high school.

that really great thanks for that conversation. i like that
She’s right, not only most men are unaware of the menstrual cycle, 90% women I know personally have no idea about their own cycle.
and then when it comes to having a baby, it should happened NOW, and they have no idea about preparation (heavy metal and chemical detox, increasing minerals, testing for nutritional deficiencies) six - 8 months beforehand much less when they ovulate. It is a type of literacy that is really missing.
Dude I'm still learning about my cycle and I'm over 30 lol.
Bcuz no one really teaches this unfortunately
In a world where nobody acknowledges the true biological differences between men and women, this snippet was a real breath of fresh air. And how you said women’s ability to carry a baby for months and produce life is a beautiful characteristic that men don’t have, and that it’s a super power which makes the cycle a beautiful thing, not a thing to look down upon… I wanted to cry. What a respectful way to think about it. Our differences (male and female) are what make us beautiful and unique and powerful. When the culture erases those differences saying we’re all the same, it just takes that beauty from distinctiveness away.
👏 Thank you for saying the quiet parts out loud.
Men can't have babies? Been hearing other things lately. Lol
Not the super power bit but I strongly agree with everything you said! So important
@@4651adri why wouldn't you agree that carrying and creating human life is a superpower? It truly is.
@@LeaCy-fm1wmI'm here rn 😂 just woke up questioning the purpose of life and immediately had to go check what day of my cycle it is.

Homicidal and suicidal 😭
The part that's sexist is
1) When ppl try to tell you how you're supposed to feel depending on your cycle when the fluctuations of moods don't apply to all women. Some of us just don't experience PMS
2) When men in our lives(most not even knowing our cycle) try to blame PMS for their own culpability
We blurred the lines between Man and Woman, so now everything is sexist--when her statement was true.

Day 3-12 - resolve conflicts (she's more verbal, more present, more outgoing, wants to connect, ready to handle conflicts) + the time to wine and dine her
Day 10-15 (ovulation) - have sex (her libido's the highest)
Day 15-28/ 32 - be really nice, compliment her (she'll disagree but keep going), rub her feet, be supportive

I completely agree with you! And the crap food we eat daily is something to consider as well. Definitely alters hormone levels
Prisoners most likely have high testosterone, that's why why they're so aggressive
I’m both shocked to see how little he knows and glad to see how humble he is learning about the menstrual cycle. Well done!
Yes, it is very nice to se a person saying " ohh, I can be careful of that to help my girlfriend and relationship? One second, I need to note that "
As a guy it is almost like people hide this information away.I understand it would be a uncomfortable conversation but it is way too important to be completely ignored
I didn’t realize how my husband didn’t know anything about my cycle hormones for years. Wish I would have explained it to him right away in our marriage
Most women don't speak or don't want to speak on these types of topics so it's harder to get insight when no one wants to give it you
This judging men comes from a gender who says don't judge anyone.
Height of hypocrisy
My period last 5 days with 3 days of heavy bleeding and cramps. It’s difficult each month to go through but having an understanding partner can make a lot of difference.
I was 47 years old until I truly understood my body! It’s ridiculous moms don’t teach this to their daughters- if you know - do better. So many women suffer not knowing their bodies and how to take care of themselves. Definitely should be more conversations about this and for others to more understanding about overall in society!
Most moms don't even know this..
So we who do, need to educate those who don't. 😊
Female teachers can teach this too.

It's innocent in theory, but in practice it can make women feel like you don't take their opinions seriously and will only blame it on hormones.
totally. it COULD be an innocent question, but most of the time it’s asked in a condescending way. when a guy says it it feels like “oh, are you having that Girl Problem that i don’t actually care to know anything about”
It’s intrusive and unnecessary
I love the term " ex-communicate them from my life". ☺
Day 2 of my period. STAY AWAY!!!!
It's even more messed up when another woman says it.. definitely ex communicate with them 😂
I’m so glad to hear you say menstruation lasts from 3-7 days.
"fake" balls?
7 days, ha. I really should get back to the doctor.
My shortest period ever was 11 days… multiple doctors told me this was “normal”. Over 5 years in I was finally diagnosed with PCOS
Mine lasted 10 days in the first years of my period. It decreased to 7 days after 4 years. Now I am 26 and it is 5 days. It is totally normal. I hope that you will find a better doctor. Gaslighting girls and women are so common in medical field.
3 days, wow.
In my family ( me, grandmother's, mother sister's ) is around 5-6 days.
That doctor needed to study more.

Ty so much for this
Do they have cramps during that time?
@@purplelove3666 well, there is epididymal hypertension, otherwise known as blue balls. Essentially, an extended period of sexual tension without release causes buildup, which is actually very painful. Note that for men, there will be situations where men get random erections, so this can be a problem more often than one might think.
This made me cry. This is what we need to learn in school. This is so beautiful.

i’m a 21 year old woman and this blew my mind, thank you 😊
I feel so normal now 🙂 literally every month the last couple years I’ve been frantically researching my menstrual hormones cause they’ve gotten more intense as I get older, and I’ve at times felt so insane and just not like myself.

A bit scared to stop :(
I feel like I don't know myself as it is. Who knows how I'll feel off the pill 😮
My cycle is only 21 days given peri-menopause. I bleed for 7 days. Totally it causes a change in personality! Seriously men, take this up and take care and help women. Learning my cycle was a game changer. I know when I can get pregnant and when I can't. I can also tell my husband what day I'm on and he knows what it means because we took the Fertility Awareness Method class together.
Hello Rebecca, can you pls share with me how you got to know.
It was nfp first
My boyfriend knows my cycle inside and out.
Why in the world aren’t us men taught this? This video made me an instant subscriber.
I wish she would have mentioned that ovulation is the time we get pregnant! Now all men heard is that it's the best time to get some!

Yes, you have to be careful during this time, since pregnancy is most likely ;).

I agree
She's not talking about tiptoeing around us, she's talking about being more comprehensive...
@@stst77 Yes, it did come across to me as narcissistic. As a woman, I would be embarrassed!
More hormonal education & ways to embrace it would make such a difference! xo
I wish that too! Would be so much better if it was recognized as a normal part of life for us to work around our cycles.
to me this is actually the biggest issue in the modern workplace that makes it uninclusive to women. there is an underlying expectation that women need to behave like men to be perceived as successful in the workplace, when in reality our bodies literally go through this 28-32 cycle program whether we like it or not. it is immensely draining to mask it and hide it. the workplace will always be a hostile place for women until this is fully embraced and addressed. women MUST be allowed to be inconsistent, otherwise we are denying the reality of their bodies.
@@koalatea8126 denying our bodies which are linked to our INTUITION, which makes us powerful assets xo
Spain approve it something like that. Day off during your PMS
Same about the loss of pain after having kids.
Also, again just my only slightly educated 2 cents, but if the progesterone dominated part of your cycle hits you so hard, I'm thinking maybe your body makes more than the average woman (either you are progesterone dominant... or just more sensitive to it), and you could perhaps benefit from including flax seeds to your diet on those days.

Me too ❤ the week before I am really weepy and a couple of days before I get a lot of suicidal thoughts and rage.
check what you are eating.
There are other options to fix pmdd
Have you tried homeopathy?
Keep in mind that it doesn't apply to every woman. I'm never irritable the week before my period, I can feel depressed the day before sometimes but that's it. Not everybody is affected the same way by the hormones
Why doesn't this have more upvotes? Everyone's mileage varies
Aren’t u just lucky!
I always get into arguments around this time.....

That's why communication with your partner is so important.
As a man , it is our choice and be independent women and don't judge man if they don't know about periods.
Have I used those words that you women preach men ?
Day 2-12, outgoing enjoying time and solving problem
Day 10-15, ovulation(enjoying sex)
Day 15, getting low and stay in
Day 17, extra care and low self-esteem
Till period come
Day 2 can be brutal for some women though.
Day 15 for peak creativity too.
Mine is super horny the last days before period.

I can definitely relate to this, it makes life easy when women are self aware, can identify and communicate the changes in their bodies/emotions to those around them. I'm sharing this with everyone 👍💪

Day 24-30: extra care needed, low self-esteem, sensitivity, desire to spend time around comfort people (potential to form the closest emotional bonds)
Thanks. I was looking for this right comment. Lol
When is bleeding occuring?

God bless you 🙏 ❤
This is such a much needed conversation for us to be having; especially, since the lines are being blurred between men and women. It goes to show, we all need an education about our bodies and how they function, so we can get along better.
Agreed
I'm reading through the comments and don't understand why this isn't taught in school.
I learn all about men and women businesses at 14.
It’s so important to understand it for dealing with woman in general like sisters, mom, grandma, friend, sister, daughter etc…
Just watched this with my partner and it is so spot on! He has always been understanding of my mood swings around my period, and we talk so openly already, but this has really hit the nail on the head
“Day 2 and 12 is when I pick my battles” LOL I love how he’s making notes other men would skip this. So tentative ❤
@@jamiejang8584 thank you for your beautiful comment.. I hope you're right ❤️❤️❤️
So true!! I'm definitely very sensitive before my period to where I was younger I would think I'm genuinely depressed or suicidal even and I didn't understand that it was hormones till I was older. It's nice that people are openly talking about things like this.
sounds like you struggled with pmdd
Diet makes the higgest difference in my monthly mood. Had a time eating all the junk food then was ready to quit my job and jump off a building. Whole food high fiber diet and havent had a spell since. Not to mention the lack of cramps.
The cycle she explained is very normal. But there are also cycles that are longer or irregular, very much related with starting of spring and autumn.
I'm not so sure she intimated that 'the world' needs to adapt to cycles, but just your partner.
@@morganb8177she talked about informing her employees as well. I think that's why OP said this.
@@angelalawsonreadings Personally I think you're just describing general empathy. But why not. :)
What a condescending tone. Get a clue ffs.
If I would have known what I know now as a teenager a lot of pain and suffering could have been avoided. I was so confused as to why I was constantly monthly going through highs and lows. Turns out it’s just biological now as an adult I handle it so much better with what I know about Menstruation 🤷🏽♀️
Woman here-I didn’t even know!
I only know there’s fluctuation of emotions. Thank you for having her❤️
Him making notes = ❤
I KNOWWWWWW
Definitely cycle shouldn't become an excuse to be unbalanced. the knowledge is to learn to control and balance it. already from listening to it i feel better and even motivated. we just have to know when we have to nurture us and when we should use all our potential and energy nature gives us. instead of wasting it on complaining and overworking. thats what its for. to work together with it to reach our full potential as women, men, humans, partners, family, society, and civilization
"Do you know her cycle"
You just saved my life 😮
Every man needs to watch this especially if In a relationship with a woman
It’s hard work but I like being in control of myself and that’s why I work on it.
I can say I’m very lucky to have an understanding partner… he calls it my “womanhood” and HE was actually the one who pointed out that the times that I’m super emotional seem to be occurring at a certain time each month… 😂❤
“Do that til she bleeds!” Haha love it! ❤
The biggest thing I get from this really is how horrible and painful my last relationship was and how I didn't even expect him to care about me on human level
Your period is a HUGE ask and you aren't entitled to men caring about it.
very happy this conversation is becoming more popular.
Bravo.
This is spot on! I’m learning about my biology from this @30yrs old🤯 There’s so much power from understanding how your body works.
The best thing I ever did was read “taking charge of your fertility” and learn to manually cycle track.
Sounds like an Olympic sport 🤣
Please cover menopause with this amazing woman
Yes pleeeease!!!
Also perimenopause
Crazy!
As someone with an identical twin, this is false. We never synced up despite living with each other for literally our entire life
cycles actually never sync up. its just a coincidence when you think they are in sync. wait 2-3 months and you'll see they are not synced
@TheSarahmns They do. That's a known fact for most women. Just because it hasn't happened to you or the 1% does not mean it doesn't happen.
This should be taught in schools right before “how to do your taxes” class!
I taught myself at 19 by reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility. They don't teach you anything useful in school, I found. I read that one book and it was better than all the health classes I took combined in high school.
As a man , it is our choice and be independent women and don't judge man if they don't know about periods.
Have I used those words that you women preach men ?
Wish you could also discuss this with coworkers and boss. With them being understanding.
