    Wow this video was SO helpful. I swear I have seen 200 low fodmap/SIBO videos and I still learned so much in this video.

    The problem is some people have so severe systems that Low FODMAP and Cedar Sinai Diet do not work.

    Your video was a godsend. You cleared up so many things for me and which diet I should be on for sibo.
    Thank you so much!💕

    Carnivore was awesome for managing the gut symptoms, but digestion was slow and hair eventually started falling out :( had to reintroduce carbs, instantly felt and looked better but also the gut symptoms resumed

      Makes sense. Carnivor is the ultimate "starve the bacteria of their fav food" diet. I wish you luck healing your SIBO so you can tolerate all foods again 🥰

    Peanut butter but not all peanuts is high histamine or something similar because low quality peanuts are used to make the peanut butter. I think mold and aflatoxin is the issue there.

    I have chronic constipation and extreme bloat with both SIBO and IMO. My constipation has been sending me to the hospital vomiting this year. My doctor wants me to stop almost all carbohydrates to try and get the sugar fermentation down to almost none. You seem to be pretty against this. I'm lost 😭

      @contrarian717 Месяц назад

      Interesting. Are you now off all carbs? Does it help?
      I saw a post of a health coach saying that on his facebook group many members mention that the only solution for their constipation is meat and water and nothing else.
      In my case, it's the same. Still testing, not 100% sure

    Very interesting video. It would be great if you could do a video on CELERY JUICE there's a lot of Buzz around it's efficacy in increasing stomach acid naturally, liver cleanse and killing sibo bacteria. Your take on this would be really interesting.

    Can histamine intolerance cause severe headaches? I usually dont get migraines with SIBO much if I eat the 'harmless' foods, but I ate mushrooms (champignons) yesterday and I instantly got the worst headache that lasted till the end of the day.

    • @gutmicrobiomequeen
      @gutmicrobiomequeen  2 года назад

      Yes, headaches can definitly be a symptom of histamine overload!

    I’ve been stuck on the biphasic diet now for 2 years. It’s so restrictive and now I find I react to anything that’s not on that diet. I’m really afraid of good. I went from 62kg to 46kg in a short space of time. I wouldn’t recommend the biphasic diet to anyone! More recently I reintroduced some foods since discovering the Fast Tract diet. It’s eases some of my food anxiety but I am still very restricted and fearful. This fear was completed by an IBD diagnosis in January last year.

      IBD means nothing, literally. It just means they don't know what exactly is going on, and it could be anything.

    Thank you very much for this and all your other videos. While I appreciate your opinion regarding restricted SIBO diets, I disagree that they are purely symptom management and not helping treat SIBO (in addition to treating or preventing comorbid conditions). The reason eliminating certain foods results in a reduction in symptoms is because these foods either:
    1. Feed the overgrowth of pathogens in the small bowel resulting in increased intestinal damage and LPS production, which passes through the damaged gut wall, and/or
    2. Contain gut irritants (especially lectins or lectin-like proteins, e.g. casein), which compromise tight junctions and pass through the lining as well and/or
    3. Facilitate the transport of these inflammatory compounds across the gut wall (e.g. saturated fats and emulsifiers). Unfortunately none of these diets address this component, nor adequately address the previously mentioned lectins.
    The presence of LPS, lectins and lectin-like proteins in our blood leads to systemic inflammation, which can result in damage to many parts of the body outside of the gut. Lowering inflammation is key to healing SIBO and its numerous comorbid diseases.
    For most people with dysbiosis, diet alone will not be sufficient. However a restricted diet, in conjunction with herbal microbials, such as berberine and oil of oregano, along with specific human-strain probiotics, can do wonders.

      Do you know which anti microbials can treat all 3 types of sibo? I have all the Sibo symptoms but unable to get tested where I live.

    does drinking count as snaking between foods? Like peppermint tea, ginger tea or black tea are ok o just plain water? because i find imposible to have enough hidratation within the daytime without drinking between foods (also if i drink a lot during the meals i feel that it slows my digestion)

      Only things containing calories will reset or disrupt the mmc I believe, so if I remember correctly things like tea should be fine as long as not with anything containing calories like milk or sugar

    @drDiNezza - have you seen SIBO/IMO cause heart palpitations in your patients? sudden racing heart (while sitting on the couch) was my first set of symptoms, coupled with diarrhea, and then followed brain fog, fatigue, low appetite and anxiety. That happened a few times, and then increasingly I experienced more bloating and gas. Found out I had IMO.

    I just started the journey with my 18 year old son who has been suffering with acne, anxiety and gut issues for years. We are now seeing a functional medicine doctor and I'm thinking he'll put him on a restrictive diet. Can you give me some thoughts on which one you choose for him. Realistically, he's still a kid and sticking a strict diet will be difficult. Oh, we're also vegan...Thank you for you insight.
