    Something to try for sure. I've been pushing down on my knee for a year now and am still lacking 5-10 extension. This makes sense... Traction! You've made me Hopeful today sir that I can get to full extension! Thank you so much!

    Hi, this is exactly what I needed. 8 degrees from full extension, 6 months post op. How often should this be performed in a day or week?

      I recommend a couple times a day for 7 to 10 days. If it still doesn't work I would try something else.

    I use two exercise balls(22 & 25 inch) when I’m sitting in a recliner(or any chair of choice). I put my TKR leg up onto either ball and rest it at the ankle upon the ball. I will let gravity pull my leg straight…and/or press my leg down into the ball while muscling it straight…hold for a count, repeat. I also bounce my leg upon the ball. Side to side rolls are helpful as well. It’s a journey to bring a TKR back into normalcy! Use what methods will assist you!

    So Tony, I understand start slow and work up to 15-20 mins as tolerated. If my extension lacks 5-10 degrees, how many of the 15-20 min sessions should I do per day. Just one, or two, three? Thank you.

    Nope I am scheduled for a MUA ,knee has frozen with scar tissue and NOT bending at all. I did everything and PT has bent me like a pretezel.

    Week 6 after left TKR starts today. Im still having an issue with swelling just above my knee and it prevents me from walking correctly, so still using 1 crutch. Started outpatient PT last week so Im optimistic. Otherwise doing well. Going to try this as well as I didnt realize that my lack of extension was causing my walking issue.
