This is a wonderful video Dr. Dave. Thank you! I feel like some of these exercises will help me more than anything. I have a Torn Meniscus and Hamstring Tendinopathy and Sciatica on the left side. I can't bend my knee well without pain - gonna try some of these exercises and I am very optimistic that these will help.
Glad you liked it. Here's a video about sciatica pain behind the knee which you might find interesting as well based on some of the things you mentioned. ruclips.net/video/vmBzM8DOiak/видео.html
I had a meniscus root tear anchoring surgery to tibia 8 weeks ago. Now after 6 weeks of non-weight bearing and restriction to bend more than 90 degrees, I have been able finally to walk with both feet. I can bend 120-130 degrees with yoga belt and these exercises do really help. Walking downstairs is still little bit tricky. How long does is usually take to get the original mobility of the knee back?
It typically takes 4-6 moths to fully recover from a meniscus root repair depending on your prior level of activity. Here's a video with tips to help with walking down stairs, but make sure to clear the exercises with your surgeon and/or physical therapist first: ruclips.net/video/94929GH6DkI/видео.html

I had my knee done 6 months ago and still can't bend pass 90 and still have swelling. I'm still in therapy and my scar has keloid very badly and that's causing pain..still optimistic and have faith that it will get in time. My Dr said my knee was very junky or in other words very bad shape and condition. It will take me longer than normal to heal..so I have to be patient and keep moving my knee.
Hello Dr, great video. I broke my leg 10 days ago and had IM nail surgery. The first days homes, I was able to do knee slides halfway, but since the end of last week, my knee hurts a lot and I am having trouble bending the knee. Is this something to be worried about?
If your progress has gone backwards, it's at least something worth alerting your surgeon about. It may or may not be a serious issue, but definitely worth mentioning.
I fractured my patella 7 weeks ago, luckily no surgery needed to repair. Dr. removed me from my immobilizer. I have begun heal slides, but don’t feel I am making much progress. Can’t get into PT for 2 weeks. I can’t hang my legs over a chair or bed. I am disappointed I am not making progress. Occasionally I feel such sharp pain it takes my breath away and feel I did something to my patella and recovery. Are these symptoms common? I am curious when can someone with a total knee replacement start these? Thank you for the tips, next I feel I will need therapy for my emotions.
People with total knee replacements usually start doing range of motion exercises the same day of their surgery. A patellar fracture is different. It takes bone 6-12 weeks to heal depending on the individual. You will be stiff after having your knee immobilized for 6+ weeks. It's normal to feel a little discomfort, but at 7 weeks it's still probably not a good idea to "push it" until you get in to PT to have some guidance. Good luck with your recovery!
Even this guy's eyebrows are Yoked! What a great build. Looks like a guy i can trust for therapy advice!

Pre-operative status does tend to predict post-operative status. Keep working at it and staying optimistic. 👍
Absolutely #team knee bend lol

@More4Life Thanks for taking the time to get back to me. I will do that. I think the time stuck indoors is driving me loopy! Haha.
God bless.
