Very nice design but interior is still old school no upgrded techs. Ford Ranger Raptor still the monster with fully upgraded techs with full offroad capabilities.
I like how Toyota increased the engine hp for the Hilux GR which may live up to its GR marketing. Far better than the Hilux TRD which is mostly cosmetics. "As this is the best Hilux for this generation that will ever be built" might as well be the best if the next Hilux generations will become electric. I'm not fond of electric vehicles especially because several power plants in the Philippines still use fossil fuels which might negate the supposed pollution reduction of EVs. Another reason is because of a new study which suggests that car tires produce a lot more pollution than car exhausts. Anyway, the 2024 Toyota Hilux GR has surpassed the Ford Ranger Raptor in terms of having the most powerful engine in its segment. I like that Toyota gave this Hilux rear AC vents which are needed here because the summer heat here is ridiculously hotter than decades ago. I don't really care about top speed that much if I'm going to buy a pickup or SUV or van as long as I can drive over mountainous zigzag roads without my engine struggling or my vehicle falling too much behind but that is just my personal preference. If I want high top speed car, I'll buy a performance car like Subaru WRX/STi, Ford Mustang, Honda Civic Type R. I still trust Toyota in having good fuel consumption whether diesel or gas engine. I've seen few reviews of some famous diesel vehicles having fuel consumption which is quite high for diesel standards. GR stands for Gazoo Racing. Afaik, GR competes in rally racing and WEC. Toyota GR had 5 consecutive victories at 24 hours Le Mans from 2018-2022, their streak was broken by Ferrari last year. However, Toyota GR is still a force to be reckoned with in WEC including Le Mans. Watching Le Mans influenced me into changing career and practicing go-karts and soon sim racing to try to get an actual race chance. Watching onboard races (GT3 and WEC) also made my driving style use paddle shifters most of the time when I drive a car with those, but I still obey traffic rules and etiquettes because I'm still well aware that I'm not in a race. Before I go, I'm not a car expert. I'm a car fan just like you, Patrick. PS: In my comment about your previous Hilux video, now you see how amazing the infotainment of this Hilux which is same as Conquest? ☺
@@PatrickReyesTV I don't know if it will still be diesel. I just saw news that Toyota will launch an all-electric Hilux by 2025-2026. Autodeal published a news report about it. The world is heading towards electrification of vehicles. I'm really going to miss ICE vehicles to be honest.
Well, I think these last models are for those who really love the CURRENT generation of the Hilux. And there's no better time than to buy one of these, as this models should be the best of their generation.

We have yet to see the next generation hilux, which I think would still be a diesel if it would be released in the next 1-2 years.
