"Did I ever tell you about the time Zeke literally smashed the cliffside beneath him into dust and fell into the cloud sea? No, really, it's true. He also got crushed by a giant boulder and lived. Yes, he is the one who caused the bolder to roll off the cliff. No, I don't know how he's still alive." (I may have gotten the details of his antics mixed up - it's been a while.)
I like to think of this piece as the flipside of Mor Ardain's public image. The day theme represents the false bravado of the nation, and its powerful status and reputation, while the night theme represents the secret tragedies and unresolved problems that lay beneath the surface. They're a perfect duet of pieces I feel like, I love both a lot
The Nostalgia this piece gives me is hard to explain. It reminds me of PBS broadcasting for some reason. It takes me back to watching TV programs during the summer when all we had were antenna channels. Something within moves for some reason.
The times when I had no responsibilities. I woke up, ate my cereals, gave my mom a kiss when she went to work and immersed myself in a video game. Why do we only feel true happiness, when there is a sadness to give it meaning? Nostalgia sucks, being an adult sucks too.
@@Ohmargod true man! why does it always feel bittersweet when reflecting on happier days of old? I would like to keep the memories without all the sadness of knowing that those days are gone forever.
Knowing absolutely nothing about Xenoblade, when I heard this, I immediately thought of those scenes in anime shows where the characters are having a nice, deep, wholesome talk under a moonlight, starry night with a panoramic background. Kind of like the calm before the storm or the night after the big battle or something.
now let me tell you guys. it was summer 2018. me and my family was driving from las vegas to houston. it took 4 days. visiting national parks and stuff on the way. I remember I was playing this shit while in the car at night. Just beated Akhos and Malos in Urya. the times where so good. Walkening around Mor Ardain while in the car at night was something different.
I had already listened the day version quite a bit on the RUclips but never the night version. When I actually played the game and reached in Mor Ardain for the first time, it was night and I was like: this is so familiar but I don't remember... Then it becomes day and HOLY SHIT
Love hearing this song for the first time in game after listening to roaming the wastes for weeks leading up to when I got it and realizing it was a calmer cover of it
This version is great. I love that piano. The flute sounds awesome too. But being a piano man, I can imagine how fun this song would be to to play. Such a cool groove.
I like how this version is calm while the day version metaphorically beats you over the head with a trumpet
Oh Mythra!? The prophesy is true!!
Mythra The Day Version Is More Hype That Is Why I Choose It Over The Night Version
This is very true
@@yourmcronald3339 Well, the night version isn't supposed to be hype, because it's night and everything sleeps.
I love the day and night theme differences in xenoblade 1 and 2. They're so wonderful and help set the tone.
Morág in a bar after the events of Xeno 2 telling you the adventure of the Aegis and her Driver...
"no no *hic* i'm serious there was a robot maid *hic*
haha yes! the other best girl!
*telling you ABOUT the Aegis and her Driver

I love that day time is a bombastic, adventurous romp. And night is some of the best chill jazz ever.
Gotta adore how sweet this sounds. The original one is just epic and this one gets you in the mood for a good time. Absolutely beautiful.

Freaking play 🅱️enoblade.
Play it dangit
You better have played it by now
Please play, all 3 too
Now you don't have a reason to play all of them, they even have X on the switch. Play them all right now, i'm no longer asking 👺
The vibes it gives kinda feel similar to colony 6 (night time) in XB1.... so relaxing
I thought that was Garfont (for some reason)
Last time I played, I just finished Mor Ardain.
I've had the game for over a year and it's hard but at least this song's good
I felt that the difficulty spiked in Mor Ardain from when you have to fight Lila. The turkins in the factory were also annoying to fight
the game is actually very easy, but the tutorials are so bad that you probably misunderstood the combat system
Such a simple way to relax with great music

nice story
I like listening to this song whenever I need to wind down and chill. It's just the right type of relaxing.
Squidward! I'm Roaming the Wastes!
...at night!
And than the day version starts and you get hit with SEVERE whiplash
5:00am IT'S DAYTIME! 🎺 🎺 🎺 📯 🥁 🥁 😱 🤯
Trying to work from home but after listening to this I became super sleepy
This is just AWESOME.
I forgot how gorgeous this song was
When I hear this song I always go “'Cause this is thriller, thriller night!” but in a more calm way than the day version! 😂

This version is so gorgeous and intimate. If the day version is like a raging beast, this is the beast slumbering, cradling her cubs
Wow.
This is beautiful.
The flute gives this song such a 70s vibe.
i haven't played this game, but this theme always motivate me to keep going whenever i feel down
anyone else reminded of sonic unleashed?
A bit, yea! If you want some real Unleashed vibes, go listen to the Barracks theme from Xenoblade X
I actually plan on trying out x so guess I'll look forward to that
Me too
Kinda reminds me of the spagonia night theme or at has the same ambiance as it.
But which track from that game?

My friends who also play XC2 think i am weird because I play the day version in the day and the night version in the night
Mor Ardain - Funky by the day, grappling with it's elderly dying age by night
If you listen closely, you can hear the performer playing the flute inhale to the sound of the music
Yeah and it's so cool! It really adds to the atmosphere of this already amazing music!!
The reverb from the cymbal hits too, its so fucking peak
This feels like a cafe version of the day theme
The piano is luscious
When it's evening and the music goes from 100 to 0 real quick
Favorite track on XC2… it reminds you a bit of Gaur Plains at night but better
When you are the best smash 4 player but you need to go to bed
Hopefully without the little kids lmao
@@UltimaPhoenix-dx3kt yeah it didn’t age well huh
1.5x speed and it’s the day version
I swear that this sounds like it could be in sonic unleashed.
