Hi, we are Stephen, Jess and little Hunter, a traveling family who spent 2020 self-converting a van before moving in full-time to drive around our home country of Australia. We have now completed our lap, said our goodbyes, and resumed full-time travel before we wait for our second baby to arrive.

I loved Bhutan. If I had gone there when I was in my 30s, I probably would have stayed. The people, the buildings and the countryside were all so beautiful. After travelling via India, Bhutan was so peaceful.

That's my home country. I was born and raised in Thimphu until I was a teenager. Then I moved abroad. Miss it. Hope you'll enjoy your stay in Bhutan and try our national cuisine ema datsi (chili cheese) but I think kewa datsi (potato cheese) will be good for you all as it's less spicy.
    Much love ❤

I am interested in hearing how the family dealt with the elevation - Bhutan being the highest country in the world. Sadly no more high elevations in my travels - Bhutan, Mongolia and Tibet were on my list. Watching your young family explore areas I have not visited is a wonderful way to see these places.
Jiuzhaigou National Park in China was the highest - barely -I have managed. I even get altitude sickness at the Canadian Rockies!
