Thanks, Chai. Nice decision to intercut scenes from town during the interviews. Made it visually appealing while still hearing from your guests. You should feel quite good that the strangers you stop to talk to you appear very comfortable and casual with you, like talking over coffee. That is a great skill to have. Continued safe travels.
Thanks Randy! Aw yeah it does feel goed :) it’s also very nice to see that you’re enjoying the way I’m filming it and all. The couple who let me taste the Dodol was super lovely and all the people super friendly and helpful 😍 Randy! I never responded on your last “BuyMeACoffee”. I actually received it on a down day and it did give me so much motivation 💪 thank you so much for believing in me 🏆 cheers!
Yet again an awesome load of interviews. All these people added so much value, all had their own interesting ideas and thoughts and even expanded on things when answering the questions. It is clear that your relaxed happy go lucky approach to interviewing puts these complete strangers totally at ease and they really do open up and want to get involved. This I would say actually has to be one of the top two interviewing videos I have seen to date and those in Malaysia, in particular, have been very good. Stay champ CHAMP 🤩
That’s so nice of you to say Steven 😃 So far the experience in Malaysia have been very good and the people like are super nice (local and tourists) I feel grateful I’m able to do this and share with you 🤗🏆 thanks again champ and have a beautiful evening
Hi Chai, i just arrived yesterday morning from TH BKK, i had a fantastic time (6-7 weeks), i will watching some of your videos backwards, Lol ! I meet some friends they are now in Malaysia, KL, Penang and surprisingly also in Malacca - they love Malaysia ! Thank you for enjoying me with your interviews of awesome people, & of course you triggered my "travel bugs" again !😍✌
Awesome! Hahah I'm glad to see you're doing Okay in the land of smiles :D Thanks for checking in again :) have a beautiful time and I hope you’re enjoying some of the video’s I made in the meanwhile😃
Welcome to my hometown! Hope you will have a memorable stay! Immerse yourself in the exotic culture that is Malacca! From the Peranakans to the Chettiars, you will find plentiful of interesting facts on how they led their daily lives. Experience the food - you will be in food heaven for sure! The sight and sounds, the hustle and bustle of Malacca is uniquely, well..... Malacca! If you are still in Malacca as of todate, pop over to the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum where you will learn much about the Peranakan culture. Anyways, hope you have a great time in Malacca - a place "where it all began".
The guy with yellow shirt didn't find coffee for breakfast?!?! Poor him....😅😅 He should go to the rural parts of Melaka...the village area, where they have a lots of 'kampung style coffee shop' 😁😁
European Breakfast there is in Kopi Tiam in Malacca in the morning and there is some morning market hidden between the back of the building. Ask the local in the early morning and they will tell you where to find the morning market.
Very interesting to see how Malacca/Melaka has changed over the years. I lived in Tanjong Kling in the 1960s and regularly went into Malacca, went back for a visit in the late 1980s and last visited in 2011. Lots of changes over the years - some good, some not so good. Watching this has got me thinking about going back for one last visit.
@@Chai_Travel Malacca was a sleepy backwater in the 1960s and Tanjong Kling, where we lived ,even sleepier and to get to our house from the road you walked down the lane past the water buffalo. I am English and my father worked for the military camp at Terendak. All history now.
Malacca is simply DIFFERENT AND A MUST TO BE SEEN.Honestly it's a great place to see and to live. We"ll be there next month...Plenty of different types of food.Maybe the weather is a little extra warm but worth it.👍👍👍👍
Hello Chai 😍great interviews as always and their opinions. How awesome and friendly that guy was to give you a taste of his food. Thank you for sharing take care
Hi Sue 😍 thanks! Haha, right?! that was super lovely the couple gave a taste of that Dodol. Some people really make the show 🥰 thanks for watching and supporting Sue 😁 have a beautiful day and night 🏆 cheers!
Dodol is made by stirring the mixture of glutinous rice flour, coconut milk, palm sugar(it’s called gula Melaka in Melaka) in the heat continuously for hours.
thanks for watching again 😊 I’ll keep that in mind 😁 for me the air quality is very good as there is a lot of jungle and the big cities don’t have a lot of smog I found out myself. :)

People should know the origin of Malacca and how history began , from kesultanan Melayu Melaka, Portugese and british
thanks! a lot of history to find here in Melaka 😃 thanks for watching 🏆
No, the history are begin from kedah tua@langkasuka empire not malacca. People really should learn the history properly.

Wow wow my hometown, welcome to everyone🎉
Thanks you!
That was nice of the couple to let you sample their dodol. I was afraid you would eat all of it leaving them an empty container. 😯
Haha! it was super lovely of that couple to let me taste indeed 🥰 such a nice couple. Unfortunately I had to give the container back 😜 cheers mate
There are many types of food in Malacca. Get connected to any locals for they know where to bring you for nice food and relaxation.
Do your homework, and you'll be able to locate a few cafes that serve good breakfast and coffee in Melaka. 😆👌

Poor guy.. He should ask someone there for continental breakfast and so on.. 😊
Hai Chai, you have done many interviews but I, as a Malaysian like to know from you the air quality in Malaysia?
thanks for watching again 😊 I’ll keep that in mind 😁 for me the air quality is very good as there is a lot of jungle and the big cities don’t have a lot of smog I found out myself. :)
7:22 malacca's dodol is always the best for me.
Yes especially the one from merlimau, my mother 's hometown...dodol mak lah if i am not mistaken, they used palm sugar only and no white sugar.
Want to find good architecture and foods? West peninsular Malaysia
Good nature and island? East Malaysia + Borneo
A tourist told me this🤔🤔
have you ever met Dutch tourist? It would be interesting to hear you guys speaking Dutch. Ik spreek geen Nederlands maar ik kan jullie wel verstaan
I have met a few :) haha but I always speak English with them on camera so its easy to follow :P
Nice❤
Thank you 😁
Melaka city blended with Europe and Eastern heritage .

Haha yeah the McDonalds is also an option :P thanks for watching champ 🏆
👍👍👍
As a Malaysian, i dont like Melaka because of so many traffict light and its weather temperature is so hot.
The Sumatran came, then came the Portuguese.
Then the Dutch kicked Portugal out, but alas came the Brits.
Dont you ever wish to go near to Malaysian that carry food. They will ask you to eat. Hahahaha
Lol! Well... I'm always hungry ;P
Iskiam
I’m sorry, I don’t understand
Chai, one more thing. Do you see many flies and rats in Malaysia?
Not so much :) not many flies and just a normal amount of rats in the big cities
