The casket is exhumed, turfs piled 'side the grave
A stagnant mass awaits me, deep in the gloom
The boxes lids I open, distraught desecrating
Fumes are penetrating, I am eructating, I vomit
I initiate eager exhuming despite bad scents
I dig up cold earth, exhumed turfs I disperse
I initiate eager exhuming despite bad scents
The open casket reveals the rot
Into weak stomach, I slide my hands
Intensifying fumes I like to snort
    Colon and small intestine
Sliced and ripped out of the foul body
Duodenum I mensch - all should be treated equal
    Rotten stool and urine
    Spurt out of fermented organs
I discharged and raped - putrefied giblets disembowel
Decrepit spleen and pancreas I've torn and gutted
    I eviscerate stomach and cysts
Liver is torn and twisted - turning inside out
A fermented offal discharge - Disembowel
Evacuated offal hastily wrapped in bags
    As basic for my culinary
    Putrefied internal fragments,
    Fermented offal discharge

Saw them twice in 08 and 09, in MA, USA. The whole show changed when they took the stage. There were many other bands at both shows, but there was a sort of "reverence" that fell over the crowd for Necrophagist. We still moshed, but it was harder to do so. Not because the tracks weren't moshable, but because we were so fixated on the musicians playing their instruments. During the solos, EVERYBODY stood and watched. Haven't seen anything like it live since.

Check out Augury - The Lair of Purity. I think you'll really like it.
You point out the main issue I have with techdeath. I find a lot of bands play stuff that while impressive on a performance level, musically it bores me. Doesn't evoke emotions, just "wow he's really able to play that", which generally doesn't interest me. It's more of a display of athleticism than art. Meanwhile, bands like Necrophagist, Obscura, and Spawn of Possession give me the sheer athleticism while retaining the sense that this is a work of art. Necrophagist has this sense of aggressive brutality and in it's peaks is very beautiful and can convey feelings of joy, sadness, and terror(Culinary Hyperversity is straight up horror music). Obscura gives a similar sense of mystery and uplifting hope that I get from DEATH/Chuck Schuldiner. Meanwhile Spawn of Possession gives this feeling of chaotic terror. Even the baroque heavy classical moments give me a feeling of hopeless chaos. I think these feelings are most aggressively portrayed in their last album with songs like "Spiritual Deception" and "The Apparition".
But I whole heartedly agree. Many tech death bands lack that soul which, in my opinion, holds it back as an artform. I'd rather listen to Dethklok than Virulent Depravity. From a technical standpoint, Dethklok/Brendon Small isn't nearly as difficult, but is way more effective at communicating soul and feeling. I love this because it evokes emotion sometimes while delivering the simplest performances. "Bloodlines" by Dethklok/Small is a prime example. Most technical part of the song is the descending runs in the last third of the song that build up to it's climax. Those runs aren't that hard. They lead into one of my favorite moments in music.

Great reaction man. I find their music lacks warmth or something, common with technical metal, it can be cold. You could try the Dilutch death metal band Pestilence, Presence of the Dead. Great tune. Not technical, but great musicians and a bit of life in their songs. Also could try Bolt Thrower, Cenotaph, really catchy death metal... Catchy may not be the right word but its got life in it. Laters man.
