Yea I bought this game and couldn't even finish it. Traded it in the same day I played it. Don't waste your money on this one people. If anything wait until it's 10 bucks.

Many folks out there who aren't as informed may not know that a handful of Shovelware Developers were granted a license to make TMNT games and that the quality of Shredder's Revenge has nothing to do with Wrath of the Mutants, Mutant Mayhem or the Rise of the Ronin game.
Saw this in a Nintendo Direct I think and I was interested as the graphics/ art style do appeal to me. I played Shredder's Revenge, one of few games I could enjoy with an arcade stick along with Street Fighter II and Pac Man. Shredder's Revenge was average for me but I know many love it. Thanks for the review, I'll know to give Wrath Of Mutants a miss. Not a good practice to reward lazy development.
Hey Michael J! I too saw it in the Nintendo Direct and as with any TMNT, I'm always interested! We still have at least two more TMNT games coming out this year, possibly 3 if Rise of the Ronin comes out. Hopefully they are better than WOTM🤞. I hear that, there's not many 2D games that I would choose using a joystick on versus a D-Pad. Unfortunately, the D-Pad only worked in the menu's for WOTM so I had to use the joystick. Controls just don't feel as precise. I agree, I have both the MS. Pac Man Cocktail Arcade and the Big Blue Street Fighter Arcade and it's perfect with a joystick. Absolutely, happy to be able to save my friends some money!

I have it digitally, and I now regret that decision because I could’ve easily either saved my money for something else or bought something else that was on sale. It’s a port, and it’s very easy to tell that it’s nothing more than a port. I’m gonna say this, and I don’t know if this might come across as an overreaction or hot take to most people, but seeing this come after Shredder’s Revenge, this is unacceptable, to go from something so fantastic to something as mediocre as half baked pizza. It’s really telling that I’ll only play this game if I have literally nothing else to do. My final nitpick is that they clearly didn’t get the original voice team, which is really unfortunate. This game I can’t bring myself to beat, and I’d honestly give it a Bossanova rank.

I agree that seeing Wrath of the Mutants come out after Shredder's Revenge is completely unacceptable to the Turtles fan base. You are right, it's like a half-baked pizza and as much as we love pizza, a half-baked pizza is never worth it. I have so many games on my plate that I want to review however, I felt like WOTM was important to review immediately given the fact that I hadn't played the arcade version and GameMill's extremely spotty history. I thought the voices sounded off. The entire sound design is awful. I still can't believe how bad the soundtrack was. I had to use all classic TMNT songs for background music in my review. I agree, when I eventually do an updated TMNT ranking, it's most certainly getting a Bossanova rank. I don't have a great feeling about TMNT: Mutants Unleashed. Just looking at the Developer's catalog of games, I can't take them seriously. Hopefully, we are pleasantly surprised. Almost forgot, we do have Splintered Fate coming out in July for all consoles. And actually, GameMill do pump,out really great games more often then you’d think, with Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl (which they made in collaboration with the team over at Ludosity) being my favorite go to example, seeing as that game is incredibly high quality. The voice acting being off was a major turn off for me, and if anything, it just proves my point that they didn’t have much of a budget to speak of to work with. I’m still very excited, though, as Splintered Fate is a game I’m genuinely looking forward to, and I’m very excited to see your updated TMNT video game tier list when it drops.
Hey Joe! Yeah, it's unfortunate that we didn't receive many quality of life improvements or even a soundtrack. GameMill does have a few good games but the majority is not very good. I just took a look again at their body of work and outside of Nick All-Star Brawl and say Cruis'n Blast, it's really bad man. If you look up average review scores for every game they released, it's downright atrocious. Here's a list of their games. Skull Island: Rise of Kong and The Walking Dead Destinies are big highlights. What's crazy to me is it can't be cheap to acquire the license to make games for King Kong, The Walking Dead and TMNT. www.ign.com/games/publisher/game-mill-entertainment Yeah, I don't know what's up with their game budgets and how it all works. Is this the same game as the Raw Thrills/Nickelodeon arcade game with the giant topper? If it's a turd, does that mean the arcade game is a turd, too? TMNT and TMNT in Time were good arcade games. I have the Arcade1up cabinet but I dismantled it, I have several other cabs including the Simpsons and I built an X-Men with parts I got on ebay and a custom 6p deck by 99 lives from Niagara Falls, NY. I still have to hook up the little game box to the monitor. The deck that comes with the 1up game is 4 players and the pcb only has three games on it. The 99 lives deck box has a lot more games on it including both Turtles and other Konami games.
Hey, great question! Yes, this is the same game as the Raw Thrills arcade version, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Wrath of the Mutants. Unfortunately, the same issues I found on the PS5 version are present in the arcade game, so if you weren't a fan on console, the arcade might not change your mind either. TMNT and Turtles in Time are definitely hard to beat! Sounds like you've got an incredible setup going! I’ve got the TMNT Arcade1Up cabinet myself, along with about 21 arcade games in total here at home. It’s always fun to see how everyone customizes their cabinets-your X-Men setup with the 99 Lives deck sounds next level! Appreciate you sharing!
This game lacks polish. You know, the kind of fun you’d have playing the OG arcade game and Turtles in Time. Thank God for the Cowabunga Collection and Shredder’s Revenge!!!
