Our local Chuck E Cheese got this game a few years ago. I had no idea it existed before then. In every visit I’d get the kids their hour play cards and buy my own and go straight to TMNT. I’d try to get kids passing by to join in, but no one cares about the 2012 Turtles anymore. Loved it and very happy to finally have it at home. Now technically the entire TMNT Arcade history on my PC and PS4 legally :-)
@DanShinjo no opinion bashing, but what are you on really? Human models can be garbage, but animation, especially fight scenes are great for CGI TV show
Probably because you grew up watching it. Maybe if I did I might agree..fortunately I grew up with the late 80s turtles which started their popularity and is the best turtles cartoon!
Honestly i'm looking forward to playing a TMNT arcade game i've not played yet. I'd only played the 2 (4 if you count the 2 redesigns for "The Arcade game" and "Turtles in time")
You want to spend that much money? Go buy shredder's revenge a much better beating them up. It goes on sale. I'll buy it. I'm a turtle fan. I own the arcade machine from turtles in time and I like all Ninja turtle games so I'll add it to my steam collection eventually
Unfortunately this game has been getting bad reviews everywhere... Game mill has struck again. Honestly it baffles me how they've stayed alive for so many years.
The game may not be made for you, but it is being made for me as a "2012 series" game, because I watched the "2012 series" almost ten years ago. And it was really legit.
The look of the 2012 show has some strange CGI and takes some getting used to in terms of the look. The story and respect for the characters is great though.
3:20 I was gonna say!!! ".....it sounded like your smashing a tin trash can onto the floor..." I do understand the foot are supposed to be robots so they can slice N dice them... but still I agree!
I never hated your opinion on the 2012, it's your opinion and I'm not gonna attack you on it. Me personally, they are more appealing to look at compared to the 1980s cartoon and to me personally the animation was stiff at first but more down the line, the animation was amazing and the action was top notch. I just wish this game had more modes, new playable characters and online co-op
I mean I totally agree that the CG art itself isn't really for me, but my little cousin got me in to watching the show with him when it was airing, and if you can get past the art style the show is actually pretty good. I definitely enjoyed it.
Aww the boss list doesn't include one character I was hoping to appear. The game still looks fun and I plan to get it for my PS5 since most of the recent Turtles releases, (Cowabunga Collection and Shredder's Revenge) I have on the Switch and I don't have any Physical PS5 beat em ups yet. In case anyone is wondering I was hoping the Irma infiltration suits from the 2012 series would be in this.
@@Wickedmadman366 Yeah I have to question why the suit keeps the infiltration mode's head while throwing out any chance it has to be mistaken for a human though.
I've been with you for 2 years hola hola ,hadoken and even though these Turtles aren't your konami code . The Nick Turtles show did have an amazing intro and cool stories we wish we had in the 80's
THGM is right about this game. If you liked the Nickelodeon TMNT game that was out on the Wii & 360 then this arcade game is more of the same, but with minor improvements. Mainly, no more multiple cutscene boss transitions, enemies that get thrown at the screen no longer block your view and some of the new character dialogue actually sounds good.
I actually didn't mind any of the cartoony CGI turtles BUT the creepy cgi movie ones... with megan fox... 🤢🤮 I do like Seth rogans take cartoon ones too ... BUT April is not a pre-teen, fat, black chick... not that there is anything wrong with that but it feels like undoing one reality and throwing in anything 🤪
Everybody's entitled to their opinion but personally I absolutely love the 2012 TMNT, my kids as well. And I'm old, I was there through the original mid-late 80s Turtlemania and am a lifelong Turtle fan. But its not the way the 2012 Turtles looked necessarily that was appealing about that series, just everything else about them (the stories, the cast, the portrayals, etc.) that was so awesome to me. The iteration after the 2012 TMNT (Rise of the... ?) was the ones that were abominations in my eyes.
I don't like the 2012 cartoon, but I appreciate it for bringing the turtles back for a new generation. Also I was 28 when it came out so I was not the target audience anyways.
The art style is fine it is just not for you. The more simplistic art style is meant to appeal to younger children whose brains can't yet process more complex detail and shape quite yet. Basically 6 year olds instead of 8 to 10 year olds
I have tried three times to watch it, and I am a fan to a degree in which I voluntarily watch the New mutation When I grew up, as I could not watch it when I was a kid because of how disappointed I was in the style and how it looked. Also, just the delivery in general. It was really quite the flop. It was a real failure in my eyes. However, I can't seem to get past the CG look in this, even though I've heard many times that the plot is perfect and it's a great continuation of the series. Maybe one day. I'm going to go back to watching the 1970s Australian show Spyforce now, which has more charm and better delivery than any episode of new mutation had. Also, fun fact, an incredibly young Russell Ira Crowe is in an episode for a few moments....yup...Spyforce.
I agree that this game ain't great but kinda hard to criticize any game if you're willing to back Raid. I get it. Dude's gotta eat but a majority of viewers tend to sigh and roll their eyes when a content creator shills for Raid it tends to undermine their opinion at least a little bit.
Just so you know Tmnt 2012 is a reboot of the 80’s series since it has a modern take on the classic characters and had a remake of the original theme song.
I'm not gonna say I hate the design of the 2012 but it's definitely not the best version. Regardless how good or not the show was. But more or less it's nickelodeons design where it's more kid like. So I'm like eh, alright.
You're like the 20th commenter to COMPLETELY ignore the superior 2003 series. None of you even acknowledge that it's a thing.... Nothin but 🤖s, the lot of you.
The game is one thing but the 2012 series is another. The series even had the best version of Splinter. Are you a fan of the TMNT original Comics? Did you watched the whole series? Clearly seems like a big "No". The 2012 series is the most on par with the original Comics aside from the look. The first obe was a downgrade from the original turtles, made goofy for the sake of selling toys to kids.
You were not wrong. What's worse is that the Switch version (which is the platform that suits these kind of games best); only runs at 30fps when every other vesion runs at 60fps as it did in the arcade. Really lazy.
god raid got Top Hat, i wanted this ninja turtles to not suck, but it looks pretty meh. actual arcade(the ones that are in dave n busters etc.) beat em ups suck now. We got the best in the late 80s-90s of them. The collusion detection in this game just doesnt look good. I'll stick to playing every arcade beat em up on MAME for free over this. the 2012 CG cartoon is one of the best interations of the ninja turtles is a really enjoyable show

The writing is amazing but the animation is garbo.

I'll take these turtles over The Next Mutation
Holy hill the original artwork from the comic books and the 80s cartoon Is superior to the crap that's out from nickelodeon.

Oh dear, the sound mixing wasn't remastered for home release then.
