It is literally not AI, AI requires you to program and train it to mimic voices and speech patterns. Vocaloid on the other hand requires actual effort to use, as its not as simple as telling Miku to "sing out of touch for me," no you actually have to synthesize it yourself for the most part. And the music the community has made with her and really any vocaloid is some of the most high effort things you will ever see. Another issue I have with the complainers is basically how uncultured and basically unaware they are. We have a chapter that has a heavy focus on Japanese culture and mythology, so naturally it only makes sense to pick someone as influential and impactful Hatsune Miku. Yes she's a virtual idol, but guess what? This virtual idol has had literal concerts all over the world, and has been relevant for the past 17 years (18 soon). "But no, we need someone real!!!!" and the real people you numbnuts pick are some of the most boring picks you can come up with, all the while making dumb complaints.
Then why can't Saki Fujita show up and be the headliner instead of Miku? Then it would feel more realistic and not be as if the sounds and speech were programmed or empty/soulless.
