As someone who has older battle passes, I highly agree. If you think about it, people were always shiting on the latest battle pass skins, then all of the sudden the subject of returning them looses their "rare" status the community never gave.🤦♀️
Other players should be able to experience the excitement I did when getting the old battle passes. I believe bringing them back would bring the same excitement to new players that I had for them back in the day. I do think OG styles should be warranted though since the season shop is getting them as well as some of the other existing skins already have OG styles
I agree with this 100% as someone who has been playing since season 1. What I do want to add is that this will benefit both Epic Games and the playerbase because this will crackdown on people buying Fortnite accounts just for a specific item shop/battle pass skin. I hope Epic starts releasing more OG skins and hopefully bring old battle passes into the game to prevent people from getting banned or scammed.
I speak as someone who isn’t OG, and barely just got 2 exclusives as of today. I know the OG feel as if they will be betrayed if they do return and I know new players will feel Sad because they can’t play as a character that speaks to them if they were locked behind a pass. I personally would love to rock Black knight, Ice king, Omega, and Hybrid. I have friends who would love to own Peely OG, Fable and The reaper. It’s sad to see both sides argue and not be happy. This is one of the few games where anyone anywhere at any age can get on and play together and find new friends to run a few rounds together. I know the OG’s will be rewarded for their continued support and dedication to the games with either V-bucks, OG styles or even return to the chapters that made them love the game to begin with. While New players can Work together to earn the rewards that OGs had in the day and could see the beauty of the season that made the game what it is today. I hope this doesn’t cause a fight or even the death of the game because of the potential return of OG battle passes. I have this game to thank for helping me make friends and have a good time playing, even if I don’t always get the dub.
Battle passes were "exclusive" "will not be obtainable again" which created a scummy practice of fomo. It's misleading and pushed those players at the time to buy now or never. They would need to make exclusive styles that's the only logical way.
A lot of people don't understand that the season 1 item shop was marketed the exact same way. No, they didn't specifically say that those items were never coming back, but it was definitely implied with how the season shop was structured.

at this point it's inevitable, Seasonal shop exclusive or not they were said to be exclusive on their blogpost and on top of that they updated the battle pass purchase screen and moved them to the offer catalogue the SAME thing that happened with renegade alongside the other items from the seasonal shop. I don't personally care if they return season 2 - X because I actually have some unfinished passes that need completing so this would be a win for the people that couldn't finish their passes such as myself and the new players can enjoy the skins and emotes, I don't see a problem. edit: W video btw brother, just subscribed.

Yeah i bought the season 2 battlepass but i only got to like tier 40 but i would LOVE to have black knight and finally having the skin everyone knows is OG. But i hope they give it to people that bought it that season and not to everyone as a chance to purchase it.

What i don’t get about og is how that og pass is gonna work. We’re gonna cycle between every season in chapter 1, then after season x its back to season 1. Is the og pass gonna be different? I mean they can only keep up redesigning skins for so long, especially for season 1, so then og passes should return.
There’s a theory they might expand upon the map idea wise past season X. There’s plenty of things they could do on the old map. Or maybe they’d release new passes that did the same, through the rotation.
Instead of releasing the whole battle pass, they could maybe release some of the more popular skins from each battle pass, like Omega, Drift and Peely. And keeping some less popular skins exclusive to keep the OG players happy.

Honestly, I'm getting more pissed at a certain part of the player base that despises this idea. Just where does the entitlement come from? Just because you did join in most of the old battle passes, unlike everyone else who happened to just join fortnite to this day, doesn't mean you need more respect than them. I own 89% of every battle pass ever Not including season shop And I find it more a hindrance than a flex I constantly try to run combos with my friends but they sit. Have half of the items I have so I end up using the same stuff never actually using my old stuff Please let more people enjoy these cosmetics so I feel inspired stop war them again And maybe we can get some fresh stuff for them too

Battle Passes should never have had a time limit. Epic Games should take notes from other games like Halo Infinite whose Battle Passes never expire.
