Tyler Dazey was charged with first-degree murder after his mother was found murdered and beaten inside her Iowa home. When police discovered Jennifer Dazey dead, she had brutal injuries to her head, neck, and face. Tyler Dazey allegedly told police that his mother was practicing witchcraft before murdering Jennifer and the family dog. Dazey could face up to life behind bars if convicted. The 28-year-old was deemed competent for trial after a series of evaluations.

One bright spot of this case, if there is any, is that the 911 dispatcher was very empathetic, patient and professional. So many dispatchers are rude and unprofessional nowadays so hearing the kindness of this woman was very refreshing! She should train other dispatchers how it should be done and how to treat callers! Well done ma'am!

😢 OMG her best friend sounded absolutely TERRIFIED!! I felt sorry for her when they played her 911 call & then, watching her testify, having to relive that night.
The best friend really loved her, maybe one of the most deeply heartbroken calls I’ve heard.
This is the quickest crime,investigation, trial I've ever seen!! And why is her children so weird?!! They're literally smiling and laughing upon hearing their mother is murdered....😢

I just watched the young girl that killed her mom and tried to kill her step-dad in March 2024 and she is already tried and convicted.
Meanwhile the baby Evelyn Boswell that was killed by her mother in late 2019, but not reported missing until Feb 2020 here in Tennessee, still needs justice done in her case.
I am impressed that the judge stands to give oath. Salute.
Kylie is CREEPY AF !! Why is she all smiley & laughing right after finding out her mother is dead?? Why does she need to bring up the fact that she was involved in a DV case as her mother previously told the cops about a physical altercation?? Does anyone else think the children were both involved??
It bothers me how the daughter is reacting over her moms death. Its so happy like she was skipping down the park with a balloon like a little girl. The victims best friend 911 call broke my heart.

Not only does the interrogation video seem odd, but all the Tik Tok + RUclips videos she put out following her Mother’s death are particularly disturbing. It seems off that she had a key to the home; an open DV case with the Mom + didn’t shed a tear for her deceased mother but posted a video crying about the DV being dropped. Yes, everyone grieves differently + she could just still be in shock from finding her Mother’s friend dead only months prior to this happening, but I believe the police should have done more to investigate.
Did they ever check their or scan phones? What was the motive the brother had? Witchcraft? Yea, it seems like the daughter had more reason for her to be deceased than the mentally ill brother.
Overall though, it’s a horrendous situation.

Poor Jennifer. These were her children. The little ones she undoubtedly was happy to bring into the world. The babies whose birth announcements she sent out with joy. The little boy and girl she surprised Christmas gifts from Santa with. Heartbreaking ❤️🩹

Not just calm, smiling & making jokes, very unusual, I was wondering who that was, then realised it was the daughter.😮
This daughter might be deeply traumatized but disconnected - unable to respond appropriately. We all know people who laugh excessively, which is a cover-up too.

The mom has a mugshot online from not too long ago. Theft - & something involving other peoples’ credit cards… so, she was troubled, too …. Her kids are absolutely psychotic.
Poor thing is still referring to her friend in the present tense. She still doesn't believe this happened.

Herbal tea would have been classed as witchcraft back in the day. The killer was deluded and that's that.
I mean, people grieve differently and people are great at hiding their emotions now. I don’t cry when I lose someone close but I remember them with love and thankful they were in my life. It does hurt and I do miss them though but a lot of people are different when it comes to death.
