E-flite UMX Turbo Timber Evolution - Mud Puddle Madness!?!?

- After some severe thunderstorms dumped a couple inches of rain on us the drainage ditch in front of the local high school became flooded with water. This made for a perfect spot to get a flight on my E-flite Turbo Timber Evolution on floats. Even though the flying area is a little the little UMX TTE handled it with ease.

Great flying as always Michael. Not put floats on my UMX TT Evo yet. They were great on my UMX TT, even worked well for me flying off wet grass. Please keep doing the narration on your videos too, it totally adds another great component to them.

My, the Evo is carrying the floats so much easier than the previous UMX Turbo Timber. I have them on mine too, but it definitely has impact on its performance, compared to the default wheels.

Nice piloting. Those inverted low passes are a maneuver beyond my comfort zone.
I've flown my UMX Evo with floats but off snow not water. Off water looks like fun also even if the floats don't leave tracks like they do in the snow. 😊

Nice,.. ahh, obstacles. That's why I fly in my backyard / LDS Church parking lot, ballfield, the challenge of obstacles 🤠👍 However your flying and my flying are very different. You're Soooo GOOD sometimes it's painful to watch. 😎
I’ve flown in so many schoolyards, parking lots etc. and around so many obstacles I don’t give much thought anymore.

Ha! What are the odds? After nearly 3-years of having bought floats, a week ago I finally put them on my older Turbo Timber UMX and flew it on the lake here in east TN. It's fun and brings a new dynamic to RC flying. But I quickly realized the benefits reverse thrust and a pontoon rudder would bring. Thankfully we were out on the bowrider, so retreivals weren't really an issue. I immediately came home and assembled the large floats that I also had for my 1.5m TT Evo...looking forward to this for sure.
The UMX TTE is a very versatile little performer. So convenient and perfect for opportunities like this.

Thanks Mike! My UMX TTE has been pretty much maintenance free since I got it and has survived a lot of flights.

Yes the Timber X would have easily gotten off this little temporary lake. Being a little bigger plane I didn’t want to chance it by a busy road.
Nice flying bro. Not quite the same as flying off of Pickerel lake is it? This is the reason why you always have a plane in your Jeep isn't it?
It’s funny you should mention Pickerel Lake. I was just up there on July 24th and flew this plane from the boat launch.

You shouldn’t have any problems. It flies very docile even with the floats on it.
