It’s worth every penny and last time my wife and I saw him he made sure to see everyone up close shake hands with a great performance and very humble great man
I'm 62 and I actually remember this song from my youth. Man, I may be late to the (Puddles Pity) Party, but this guy is some talent. I think he's making the definitive version of a lot of these songs he's covering. Beautiful voice as well....
Behold! Great artistry, talent and execution. I’m still feverishly clicking thru all of PPP’s videos to get a feel for the depth and breadth of his artistry. I never want to know his name. It’s been a long time since the world was graced with such a towering talent, I just wish I had learnt of him sooner. So much catching up to do!
Man, gotta love the cinematography here, too! I think that’s one of the best split screen “twins” composition that I’ve ever seen! And the Bass Puddles in the back is doing an excellent job of acting towards the frontman Puddles. Wow!
Even after 2 years I can not stop watching it, love how it’s in E minor instead of A minor, it sounds more dark and has more of a build up. Honestly this is the best cover I’ve seen of this song.
my father used to sing this, back when he would play guitar. He only knew a few songs, and this was my favorite. I'd love to hear my father play this song again. This was almost as good though. Sorry if I'm crying a little. I might be drunk.
Never change Puddles. You are so perfect the way you are Your singing brings out feelings l didnt know l had Thank you for the talent you share with us all. ❤️
This highlights that slightly “dirtier” and less polished Puddles voice that I love, but don’t often get to hear. I’m so happy you did this one! Thank you!
Toni Llanes Hmmm. Well, I suppose the proper word to use would have been “grittier”, right? However, the way I said is making me laugh. So I’m leaving it. No apologies. 😉
If you were lucky enough to see Eric Burdon and the Animals in recent years, this is more or less the style Burdon sings it now. More of a bluesy sound. Puddles, excellent, excellent cover. :)
Awesome! Great show in Vegas last week. Thank you so much for the meet & greet and photo after the show. Very few celebrities would do that these days.
"House of the Rising Sun" is the first song I learned on guitar as a kid. I played it on a cheap, red and black JC Penney hollow body that looked and sounded like it was made out of plywood but made me feel awesome. I wish I had this big guy, right here (who would've been a kid then too), to jam with. Instead, I had my friend's mom and the only song she knew was "Pollywolly Doodle." LOL. What fun and memories, Puddles. I can't wait to meet you, later this month. Thanks for another great video.
83706Rachel LOL, yep. Admittedly, sometimes, I have to Google the newer tunes. And then, I find that the Puddles covers are better than the originals. It just stands to reason that the older, more mature, more seasoned musician is going to create the better version (even though I recognize the irony of using "mature" and a reference to Puddles in the same sentence). Getting older is inevitable. Growing up is still an option. Obviously, a great many of us have opted not to, myself included. ☺️
You made use of ALL your talent in this video. The GREAT vocals and guitars, and the CLOWN act. I LOVE ALL OF IT!!! Don't let anyone ever talk you out of your clown act. I know your voice and music talent is the number one reason we love to see you BUT I LOVE THE CLOWN ACT, too.
That voice, that voice. One can just get lost in that voice. Studies have shown that the purring of a cat has actual soothing properties. Puddles has that going on in spades. I love this video for so many reasons. And any time we get to see Puddles, Pity and Party together is always a special treat. Note to RUclips: put in a love button.
Well, you and I don't necessarily agree on which Puddles is which. I would say that the Puddles I consider to be bad boy or Pity is the base player. And that would put frisky Puddles or Party behind the camera. But knowing them they could be doing a switch up as a joke, ala Cathy and Patty. They all are such scamps.
This is what it sounds like, yes. Killer good version! But they still look like a couple of clowns. I don't think they need that gimmick and I find it irritating. Whiteface with red sperms? Black fingernails? Gimme a break!
When I was 13 I discovered Michael Crawford (Phantom of the Opera) whose voice alone shook me to my core...I had never been so moved and I cried and cried. I find myself moved by Puddles in this same way at 36 years old. It is the perfect vibration to open my heart...I am beyond words. It is the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. My DNA feels it. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with the world. Blessed to experience this.
Wow, incredible. Bass puddles was so convincing as a band member I was expecting drummer puddles to step in towards the end and kick off.. amazing cover. My only claim to fame is that the drummer from the Animals lived down the street from us when I was a child. My dad gave him a pillion ride to the village on his Honda.
I am happy to finally be subscribed to the single most beautiful clown in Earthly existence. I do not know why I waited so long to get up in this channel.
Really nice one today! Good job Puddles! What a fortune, that internet provides global range to everyone, else I wouldn't have found you! Many greetings from Germany! :D
Puddles, I have been waiting for this song to cross the million views line and it looks like today may be that day. I made a comment when this video first came out about loving all your talents including you being a clown (a talent all in itself). I loved watching the number as to how many people agreed with me grow. There is another way to say it tho (and this is my favorite way to say it): WOW!!! Best SINGER ever!! Love all your ACTING in all these video's, too!! I don't think there is an INSTRUMENT that you can't play!! .......Oh, but THAT wasn't good enough for you ......because you ALSO wanted to be a CLOWN!!!!!!!! How SWEET is THAT!!!! (I always wanted to tell you that).

Puddles, love the slow burn beginning and your growl is on point. Always amazes me how you can make any song solely yours. Your friend on bass is chill, diggin' the groove as well. Interesting choice of Four Letters on your fingers! And finally, your nails look really pretty.
Man, you're amazing! I've been doing music all my life, but you gave me these very emotions that I haven't felt for so long. You have an amazing voice and you play it superbly and masterfully. Thank you.
