Depending on the lighting conditions ISO ranged from 400 to 1000, aperture was set to f/2.8, and the shutter speed varied between 1/6 and 1/60. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching! :)
Great pictures. I shoot in Berlin at night too sometimes. Often with analogue cameras, handheld. Can be a bit shaky. Unlike during the day, a city at night usually looks great even when the weather is bad I think.
@@inicap Wow, crazy that 200 or even 100 film handles low-light scenes good. I really want to try shooting film at night sometime. Seems quite challenging.
@@whoiscameronrollins thank you for your kind words and support! I really appreciate it! 🥹 That was my first ever try in night photography and it makes me very happy that you liked the results! 🫶🙏
Wow, superb images. You have captured the street so well ☺ Your photos have an almost 1960/70's look to them. Berlin is a city that I would love to photograph, especially the former Eastern side of the city.
Thank you so much, Steve! I'm really happy to hear you enjoyed the photos. Berlin has so much to offer for street and night photographers! I hadn’t explored it from that perspective either - it was my first time photographing Berlin at night, and I don’t think it will be my last. :)
fell i love with ur content right away! Love it so much! i also do streetphotography but only as a hobbie. i want to improve my work. i was also in berlin for two weeks, got some amazing shots.
Nice one! Really good photos! I love how you play with the colors, especially liked the moody green ones. You are really talented girl! 😉 I never stumbled across you in the city, hopefully that changes in the future. 👀
Thank you 🙏 Tbh green ones are my favourites too! ☺️ I don’t usually do street or night photography, maybe that’s why… but yeah, let’s change it! I’m up to meeting new photographers from Berlin :)
@@Itsnancho I followed you on Instagram Nancho. You are really a very good photographer! Just watched your Stralsund video and I loved it a lot! 2 vids remaining, will watch them in the evening or tomorrow. Would be nice to meet you in Berlin and have a chat, maybe at one of the endless Christmas markets in the coming weeks. I just drink tea, it is what it is... 😉 But it would be very nice to meet you here in Berlin. Keep it up with these videos here Nancho. They will succeed. You are really good. Talking is very good, nice voice, the format is super nice. Reminds me a bit of Hannah Young from London. She makes similar videos, I enjoy them a lot. Your music taste is nice. The photos, as I said, are outstanding. Really good. I know its a lot of work, a lot of thinking, a lot of editing. But you can do it. If you maintain it for two years, regularly, you will succeed here. I´m talking too much. 😉 have a nice weekend, Berghain for me tonight. 🙈 Greetings, Peter
Loved your video. Great shots! I'm interested in shooting more at night. Can you please share what lens you used and how you approach these shots (i.e. shooting manual, aperture priority or something else) and what are your thoughts on high ISO?
Thank you so much Sam, really means a lot! 😊For these shots, I focused manually. I always start with a lower ISO and increase it only as needed (but I don’t mind using higher ISO settings). On this photo walk, I started at ISO 400 and, depending on the location, increased it up to 800, and in some cases, 1000. I used a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, and the shutter speed was mostly between 1/10 sec to 1/60 sec. All shots are handheld, I didn’t use a tripod.
@@Itsnancho Wow! Great setup. I've got that same lens on my wishlist for my Canon 80d. Thank you for sharing this info. Looking forward to more of your videos.

Hey, to make photos greener, I used the tone curve in Lightroom, added green in the colour grading panel for shadows and midtones, and set WB Tint to -10 :)
Nice photos. I'm planning to visit Berlin next year. Just curious, do you ask people and companies for permission? I'm always afraid of "hey, did you take a photo of me?" or "hey, why you show our business in your video?"
Thank you so much! ☺Let's say so: I focus on capturing natural, candid moments in public spaces while being mindful of privacy. I've traveled to many countries, where people are quite relaxed about street or public photography. But Germany can be a bit different. I try to be mindful, and if someone asks, "Why did you take my photo?" or says, "You should have asked first" (which has happened a few times), I explain my work and delete the photo if they prefer. For film photos, I assure them I won’t use or post it online if they’re uncomfortable. Hope that answers your question. 🫶
