That's not a bad alarm at all! At least its like a chime tone and the one at my college dorm is a Siemens UMMT so those were sickening to hear late at night!!! haha We didn't have actual alarms in the room but a piercing sound comes within 30 seconds in the rooms of them sounding!!
Wish my college had those lol. We have simplex true alerts that are deafening! It's to the point when they go off (generally 12-1 in the morning) I grab my access card, phone and keys and speed walk to the exit. You should hope that it does not go off in an ice storm and you are in athletic shorts, and a t-shirt!
@@jediskunk67 true that, We had the Simplex True Alerts at the Motel 6 my dad managed and I would grab my ears when those darn loud things would go off. I would be asleep and they would go off and I would wake up and notify my dad. I would wish I could throw something at them and shut them up!
@@AndrewIsAwesome882 Kinda late to reply but yes it is just a tone. It may have done the voice already because some systems do the voice once and then never again

Gamewell voice evac (just a code 3 tone) system playing fron the System Sensor SpectrAlert Advance SPSCR Speaker Strobes? I can definitely handel those alarms
There are many reason's it could've gone off 1. @$$hole pranksters 2. A small cooking accident 3. Defective system 4. A fire 5. System malfunction 6. E,T,C
Just because there's a new code doesn't mean your state has adopted it. Meaning it will be many years until every state has the low-frequency sounder code.
My old high school had this same exact tone except after three rounds of the tone the first time through and two rounds of this tone the second to fifth time through, there was a voice message that said "Attention please, there has been a report of an emergency. Proceed calmly to the nearest exit and leave the building immediately. Do not use the elevators, use stairwells where necessary. All handicapped occupants shall use the building evacuation plan."
There are quite a few places where they will do a speaker strobe system without a message hospitals are a very popular setting for that. It all depends on what the contractors ask for.
Given that it's a college dorm/residence hall I'd say the two most likely culprits for the alarm going off would be someone cooked something in the microwave and left it unattended, or some drunken student pulled it.
That isn't very loud! I actually like it
At least it's a speaker and not a horn!
Yeah lol
We've got the fucking horn. And some dipshit just pulled the alarm last night....at 3 a.m.....while I was asleep.
weatherdan882002 put a phaser to it maybe it will die.

Speaker strobes rule. My favorite tones are the notifier 3030 slow whoop and the evax/EST code 3 whoop.
It sounds like a Fire alarm frequency horn
Horns give me flashbacks of my old hearing which was 50 percent lost. At least that is a speaker

This is paradise

OMG I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS VIDEO FOR YEARS I THOUGHT IT GOT DELETED 😳
Hey, that chime in a speaker strobe thing sounds really nice.
I know, right?
wait grant do you have anything to do with truealert es if you do please show me i love the new speaker strobe

Fabulous fire alarm there are specteralert advances
Yes but they are speaker strobes than horn strobes
I prefer soft sounding tones like this!
0:35 Is that a System Sensor SPSCR?
what year was this originally recorded?
1:00 yay strobe show
It's a disco
Why is the fire alarm going was there supposed to be a test or a drill or something or someone sett the fire alarm off
Do you know any of the specs of the system at all? The speaker/strobes are spectralert ceiling mount but thst code-3 tone is unfamiliar to me.
I'm guessing its some sort of notifier system...
I think it’s some sort of Silent Knight system
Neat. A specter alert speaker strobe right?
Advance
Cool!! :D
waaiiiiittt, this is a SpectrAlert ADVANCE S/S. Don't think I've ever seen seen one of those!
Yeah. They make ceiling mount versions. I see them from time to time. Not as common as the classics thought
Uhh...
Shouldn't that use a low-frequency tone, or was the system put in before the requirement took effect?
Just because there's a new code doesn't mean your state has adopted it. Meaning it will be many years until every state has the low-frequency sounder code.
NJMoo3652 I missed that.
My bad.
I found the white version and the Strobeless white one in a Mall in Livermore, CA which is near Sacremento

Are those low frequency sounders?
No those are speaker strobes

Nice! That's the same type of of alarm my school has!
Cool!
What tone and message does it play?
It's in a code 3 siren/whoop tone, I'm not sure what the panel is.
My old high school had this same exact tone except after three rounds of the tone the first time through and two rounds of this tone the second to fifth time through, there was a voice message that said "Attention please, there has been a report of an emergency. Darin Douglas sounds like either an EVAX or Silent Knoght system as that message is common for both.
It's a small room the alarm is big I think a gennissis would be perfect
Have these exact same alarms at my school except they are white and have a message with the tones.
Nice
Thank you!

why a strobe
Was this unexpected?
Not sure
If I saw a fire alarm going off then I would freak out
