SCLASS is apart of my life forever when I was little at the tender age of 5 the first luxury car I sat in was an R107 and in Elementary School I was driven in a w126 everyday and when I went on my Highschool prom the w140 was my mode of transportation so as you can see your cars will forever be Nostalgic to me Thanks for your Major Contribution to the Automotive Industry

That's a beautiful colour combination, aquamarine blue with cream leather. Shame the video didn't show anything of the best S-class , the W126. Widely regarded as the best car in the world in the 1980's and with a standard of build quality that Mercedes never achieved after that model.
Actually W140 is much better car, with better build quality, better engines, better interior design, better technology, W220 is when mercedes fucked up.... Actually W124 is better car than W126... I speak this from my personal expirience... Had and W126 1986 300SE, than I sold it, bought 1989. W124 250D and now next to my beautiful w124 I got W140 S300td.... W140 is just centuries better than W126 in every aspect...

Why did W140 600SEL and R129 600SL Mercedes cars have hydropneumatic suspension on the rear axis only. Why did the front wheels did not get hydropneumatic springs? It would have been soo good.
Light, "sunny" colour combinations. I for one really like the look of this example although keeping that interior immaculate would be a pain in the ass, not to mention the reflection of the white dash in the windscreen. Best suited as a personal luxury car in somewhere warm.

This is because MB outsourced their electronics, which is why they were sued in the USA due to so many people having to constantly pay for repairs. If you own a 2012 model then you should be fine, as MB has admitted they knew of their problems and fixed them on the newest models, but only time will tell. I own an S Class, but my next car will be a Lexus LS for reliability & no problems.
As an owner of W140 S300td 1996. I can say you that you are wrong about reliabilty... Problem starts with models produced after 1999 with w220 that was big step backwards...
not accurate at all lol. saying that all cars in a 16 year period are not reliable ? know several people with s class between this model years and ZERO problems
And 92 to 96 issues was meant to be. But shit happened and Mercedes said fuck it I can not the whole wiring shit but still we love it because it will never build again for the public. Foucs on the public man.

yes the w140 i a better car overall, but the W140 is more complex and simply has more things that can potentially go wrong. w126s will run for ever.

it's because Mercedes was not ready to put it on all wheels at that time...Fully pneumatic system Mercedes was happy with appeared on W220...
