Bruno Sacco is one of those few wonderful people who have the gift of eliciting from other people their wonderful abilities, with which these wonderful things become so wonderful in the first place. Congratulations on your 90th Mr. Sacco.

It’s fitting that MB’s head of design through one its most progressive periods, design-wise, is an Italian.
His predecessor Paul Bracq was French and established the entire Mercedes design of the post-war era from 1953. After 1967, he went to BMW and created timelessly beautiful upper-class limousines and sports coupés. Klaus Luthe took over design at BMW in 1976 and developed the design for the BMW 850, its direct competitor the C140.
This is so beautiful the best coupe ever made in my opinion, especially at the time it was extremely impressive to spot one!
I'm fan on MB because they strictly make 2 door version of each S class generation

The detail of the rear tail light being separated from the boot lid always fascinated me - as complicated to make as I thought.
Nevertheless, prefer my C215. The C140 is impressive in every aspect... but elegant it is not.

Have you been in one little alone drive one? My guess is no. They are so beautifully build since than deterioration in quality is all that happened for affordability.

If you seen inside one the quality that went into making them and feel everything you will change your mind because I was the same and now I to think it’s one of the best ever made and the ugliness went away.
