- My Dad challenged me to a Father vs son tug of war in our diesel trucks.. He's using his Ford F450 Dually Powerstroke and I'll be using my wrecked rebuilt GMC Duramax that we just got done fixing! In this episode we also reveal the price we bought my GMC Duramax for at the auction.

Out of all manufacturers.. what truck is the best and why?
from your strand point imo i recon any brand giving you more profit margin and lesser complications to fix or more easily obtainable parts
Personally I think Ford and the new Dodges look the best, but it's hard to beat the reliability of a Duramax and Allison transmission. GMC did a good job on their new trucks, def look better than a Chevy all around.
The Dually left 2 burnout marks so he still was getting traction from all 4 rear wheels !
Ford engine maybe 10speed in toyota body and drivetrain.. ford engine runs well. Has a lot of potential. Tranny mostly good. Toyota fit finish. Quality better
GMC or dodge in my opinion
The classic Dad move of trying to make it seem like he’s giving you an advantage so he can really rub it in your face when he wins. 😂

I know you know that, but his rockret scientry is really trying to make an even playing field. I think you should’ve told him to take at least two wheels off the Douley and then do all the other stuff exactly as your truck. Love the video, y’all always make me LMFAO. Yeah it's still an expensive truck but it's way less than what it would be at a dealership. You went over it top to bottom, know it was repaired properly and put back together correctly. The insurance co mighta made out on this one, but you also have a brand new truck that you know absolutely nothing is wrong with for about 65 or 70 percent of what you woulda paid if you could even find the same truck with same options at a dealership. Congratulations on having a bad ass truck that looks awesome!

The best way to be fair is have the hitch points at equal heights. The higher hitch has the advantage, the other truck will be pulling down giving more traction and vice versa. One is pulled up and the other pulled down. Its all about traction. Dad's truck hitch was a "little" higher so he has a small advantage.
These are the types of videos I love to watch. You and your pops are truly funny. I remember meeting y’all at a car show with the transformer truck and the hellcat jeep and your pops looked like a kid when he got to drive the hellcat jeep home 😂

The tires being smaller is a huge disadvantage. The bigger tire allows more surface area of thread making contact. Creating more grip and help prevent tire spin.

I noticed when you drug the old man that extra tire on the Ford never left a mark on the concrete. Way to make it fair Doug! Air that extra tire for 1 more pull and see if it would be an advantage?
It doesn't matter if you change the air pressure in the dually tires once you start pulling on it it's going to squat and all the tires are going to be on the ground anyways
How can the son not understand 1300 lbs over the axle is a major advantage

Honestly those extra tires on the back of still gripping the ground you need to take two of the duels off and do it again
The air pressure thing is pretty clever. But tread pattern kind of negates that. More than anything. Compound of tire and weight. The rest... Drivetrain... Final drive... Well that is the truck. Tire wise if feasible... Same tires on each but stock size.
