Just seen you over the weekend on Shores Lake Rd off highway 23 headed back towards Cass. I was standing there at the overlook, I appreciate the wave back! So did my son. He got excited when he seen the blue gladiator since he watches some of your videos with me!
dot worry Matt i was the only Jeep (Glad Rubi BTW) with a Tacoma and two '80s land cruisers....by Memphis Offroad Excursionson this Memeorial day weekend over land adventure in the Quachitas.. my red beast did awesome! even on aRock buggy trail with a 26 degree hill climb with whoopty doos on the way up... sketch and pucker time+
Really enjoyed the video. A little of everything. Sun, rain, dirt, mud, water crossings, waterfalls, and a variety of vehicles. Congrats to your daughter on her graduation!
What’s up my man! I live on the MS Gulf Coast and would love to do some Overlanding with you guys if possible. There isn’t anywhere to do that down here haha flat and sandy. Honestly didn’t know Overlanding was a thing but glad to hear what I’ve been doing for like 15 years has a “Name”. Great videos brother. I have the whole family watching them at night on the TV! Keep ‘em coming and steer straight! 👍🏼
This video is a visual testament to the transformative power of overlanding and camping in the wild. The scenes of conquering challenging trails and the subsequent scenes of setting up camp under the vast expanse of the sky remind us that adventure and serenity are the two sides of the same coin, enriching our lives in profound ways.
We were up there over Memorial Day weekend and talked to bub and asked about the rock walls. We thought they were for forest fire break/ boundaries but he said it was to keep cattle out of farmland and away from their corn/ feed. They are super neat to see and I couldn’t imagine the time it took to stack all those thin rocks to form the walls.
When the land owners cleared the fields after winter the rocks will surface and they would remove them from the field. Stacking them property boundaries and pasture fences. Back than the forest was cut back so timber was more scarce to be used at fencing. Now since the forest has grown back over and reclaimed the area. Eureka Springs has something like 50 miles worth of stone walls all built back in the late 1800 early 1900. Fayetteville also has some big walls. Got family up in that area so assume it's prob the same for around the National Forest. Depending where those roads where it might of been along some ones old property line.
Arkansas really is quite beautiful & I think those of us who grew up here might take that beauty for granted sometimes. It's so nice to watch your videos to remind all us Razorbacks how fortunate we are to live here. (Although, I would move to Utah in a heartbeat if our business wasn't here, lol) The humidity I could definitely do without
Sandals and shorts in poison ivy, oak, chiggers, bugs, spiders, rocks stones…..mud…. Did boots go out of style . I am an old man from another time….I gotta look up this area where you guys are, I had a place just outside of Bull Shoals a couple decades back….real thick…. I went down a road called Monkey Run…..properly named…sketchy folks down in de holler ! Thanks
I posted a reason for them, at least that is the reason given for them in the Eureka Springs and Fayetteville area so assume it's the same. Old farm land back when the forest wasn't so thick would each spring remove the rocks that came up when they plowed and they would use them for property and field fence lines. So at one time that was prob some one property line.
Not that I don’t like your channel, but does Kara have one 😎. Awesome to hear you talk about her adventures and previous videos with her … again great to see women represented in this male dominated 4x4world. Kara is an excellent role model! We need more women like her show cased. Awesome for you to give women more exposure by talking about us! However your channel is superb!
I was the guy that pulled up on your last camp in the silver GX with the trailer and boats lol. We ended up going north up the road a little ways and getting the big camp above the creek! I couldn’t believe it was open. I wanted to get out and chat but I was worried about finding camp.
I love Arkansas. Wish i could move up there. I can smell the clean air from here. Keep the video coming, Matt. Have you ever checked to see if they have gold in them waters? 😅
We trout fished a few miles down from the spring about 8 or 10 years ago. We didn’t too well because the water was really high they got about 4 inches of rain a few days before. That’s a nice area. The store we bought an Arkansas license from was literally inches from the Missouri border lol.
I’m addicted to these videos now and I’m looking into purchasing my first gladiator Rubicon!!! Thanks for the inspiration and motivation. Keep up the good work.
You should come up to the uintah mountains in Utah I CANNOT stress it enough on how beautiful it is I know several waterfalls you can drive under but I've only found 2 out of supposed 6
I believe it’s Hwy 64 through sapphire valley NC that goes under a waterfall on the west bound side. In Montana (I live near Great Falls) if you drive the going to sun road the weeping wall dumps on cars pretty good. My boys would ride in the back of the truck just to get dunked!!!
I can empathise with the one who had mouse problems. Within a month or two of buying my tacoma in 2020 I had a mouse in the cab somewhere (eventually found dead having nested on the cabin air filter) cleared it out, used cleaners in the air ducting system and carpet to remove the mousy smell and a week later I had a new mouse moved in.
Matt you guys need to come up to montana one year! I’d love to meet you two! We just got stationed up here and bought an Aliner camper and have slowly been exploring. I don’t have a super capable 4x4 like your jeep. Just a 21 Silverado trail boss but I’d love to meet you all! And montana is so beautiful I’m sure you all would love visiting up here!
Thank you Matt! I live in CO and its amazing to see trails ive never been on. Can you give me the geberal area of the trail? I WILL go out this winter!
We were running parts of the Ozark Overland Adventure Trail. I have videos on it from 2020 when I released the route with the route file linked in the description.
Cara needs the Skid Mark Extreme 4x4 Multi-tool Skid Plate for the back of her Wrangler to help protect the spare tire from taking a hit. I'm guessing my Tundra would be right out for that trail. 😐
I have family on that side too, in fact going up there this 4th July week (I'm in Texas). Keep wanting to make a trip and do some camping up there, sadly this trip is to see my dads brother who's fighting cancer. I want them to see each other one last time before he passes as dad can't travel much either. All the old roads I use to drive on when I was a teen now a paved so seeing these trials remind me of those back roads.
Loving these videos man! I’m in NC and really want to explore the Ozarks, but I’ve never been before. Would love to explore the route that you guys took on this trip. Would love to have this trip filed on my Gaia GPS so I can check it out.
I looked for the link to go explore USA. You said in the description. Must be not so apparent on iPhone? Should be able to find easily is the story I'm telling myself. But then again I am ignorant to where the links are
This is the only thing that turns me off about the idea of overlanding in the ozarks. I feel like I would need a snorkel with the amount of pretty deep water crossings.
Is it possible to get the Gaia file for this trip? It looks like an amazing intro to the Ozarks. There's a group of us from central Florida that have wanted to check the area out. Thanks for another great video!
sorry bro, I want to ask whether the hood ventilation hole is safe for a car engine when crossing a fairly deep river. Is the hood ventilation hole safe, bro, please reply bro I hope you are always healthy and other extreme offroad videos like walking in shallow rivers when it is raining
I am interested in buying a Wrangler. However, they have been getting a bum wrap regarding reliability Yet, i have noticed that the jeep wrangler/gladiators are one of the most popular Overlanding rigs, unlike the Colorados which also received a poor reliability rating. Has anyone done a long-term 150k-200+ on any Jeeps?
man I need to come in Ozark. would you be able to plan something like on Aug/Sep for people by your choice and leave msg's on youtube. Im in VA so it's hike for me.
It’s weird how little justice that camera do for inclines and declines. Sometimes it looks like yall are on flat surfaces and your tire comes off the ground.
There was one near Nemo Tunnel in East Tennessee (wartburg area) but Nemo was closed down due to people being stupid. I never went out to the waterfall myself, but saw it in other people's video of their Nemo excursions. I do not know if it is still accessible or not.
have to say that rain fly design is terrible, I have a wedge style so i get the downfalls of that style. Just need to save my pennies for the alucab canopy camper, delete that tailgate!
These are the videos I truly enjoy. No cinematic background music, just the natural sounds around you.
Agreed.
If you need another Land Rover to tag along sometime let me know. lol
Another great video!

Awesome! Hope yall had a good weekend.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures we sure did! We’ll be back to enjoy the Ozarks again. I’d like to join yall on a ride sometime

Because of your influence, I was there 2 weeks ago. Thanks for the inspiration.
Really enjoyed the video. A little of everything. Sun, rain, dirt, mud, water crossings, waterfalls, and a variety of vehicles. Congrats to your daughter on her graduation!
Whenever I watch your Arkansas videos it puts all my problems away and clears my mind. They are therapeutic in a way
I beleive Roofnest tents are in Boulder CO, I contated them before. I have an iKamper now.
What’s up my man! I live on the MS Gulf Coast and would love to do some Overlanding with you guys if possible. There isn’t anywhere to do that down here haha flat and sandy. Looks like it was a fun little run...

Great show Matt, if you do go to Merus lmk all come down hang out with you😊
See you did fender chop ❤like the lights looks good matt

I camped at that exact spot 2 years ago. You are right Matt, that place is beautiful and the water was great.
I was the guy that pulled up on your last camp in the silver GX with the trailer and boats lol. We ended up going north up the road a little ways and getting the big camp above the creek! I couldn’t believe it was open. I wanted to get out and chat but I was worried about finding camp.
We didn’t even check that one. That’s awesome!!

Thanks for another great video. I enjoy these way more than the rock crawling.
looks awesome. I wouldn't mind hearing a carnage recap of your moab trip.
I’m enjoying the video. Thanks for the tour.
You almost need a purple (just like the purple mattress) seat cushion for all the wheeling you do! Would be cool if purple made an off road chair.
That was deep? Loool, tat's funny, not even half wheel covered in water :)))))
That fire tower is mine and my wife’s favorite camp spot out there
I’m addicted to these videos now and I’m looking into purchasing my first gladiator Rubicon!!! Thanks for the inspiration and motivation. Keep up the good work.
A local dealer here in Ohio has a deal on a new black rubicon gladiator if interested
Great video. Makes me want to explore Arkansas.
This was as always some beautiful places to explore and learn about. I enjoy ur videos and all their content..
Down on piney below deer Arkansas they have two water falls you can under.❤😅😮
You should come up to the uintah mountains in Utah I CANNOT stress it enough on how beautiful it is I know several waterfalls you can drive under but I've only found 2 out of supposed 6

IncredIble, I liked.
The Ozarks is a really beautiful place...😍😍 just breath taking views..wow
I’m hoping to be able to do trails like this in my 99 WJ when I get my lift and 33 put on
Congrats to your daughter!!!
I was enjoy watching this video man.. keep it up..great job.
Thanks, will do!
man look at that tacoma! that'a sweet automobile!
Thanks!
This my backyard. Would love to tag along on some of these adventures!
Another beautifully shot video. I am looking forward to driving it his fall.
Look forward to seeing these notifications every Friday on you posting a video
Hi Matt, what a wonderful video. Beautiful beautiful trails. Thank you so much for sharing ❤😊
Matt you guys need to come up to montana one year! I’d love to meet you two!

Road to the sun in Montana I road my Harley through the waterfall trying to cool off. (Ill send you a picture if you want)
I usually just turn off the light a couple minutes prior to opening my tent mesh and don’t have them around trying to get in when I open the tent
You can drive through a waterfall on Going to the Sun road in Glacier Montana.
We’re up in Kansas City and have Arkansas in our sights for late summer 😊
Thank you Matt! I live in CO and its amazing to see trails ive never been on. Can you give me the geberal area of the trail? I WILL go out this winter!

Sooo epik awesome beautiful video

Cool video ,nice entertainment! i prefer overlanding with mild technical offroad before hard core closed cours offroading.
You must get discouraged with all these bridges getting in the way of proper water crossings. Great video, love the drone shots.
Loving the content Matt, I'm on the Missouri side of the Ozarks but I gotta get down there to visit and trail. Beautiful!
I have family on that side too, in fact going up there this 4th July week (I'm in Texas). Great video!. What are the challenges overlanding the Ozarks during hunting season? Is it an issue at all?
Love your life.
I gotta ask, in that last camp, why was there no one swimming? It looked beautiful!
Cold water!! I went in but not for long!
What year toyota tacoma is he running?
It’s a 89 Toyota Pickup (pre-Tacoma).
My Jeep with over 250,000 miles is running like new!
Matt, I’m trying to do some camping/riding in the Combs area. Drop me some pins to some sweet camping spots?
Left my 3 year old hanging with whatever happened to Ratatouille.
Does your bullbar block too much view from your front trail camera? I can’t find many people talking about this
We have weird light phenomena out in west Texas called the Marfa Lights. I need to head out there and get my Jeep BOH for Black Gap trail.
Love the Chanel, may I ask if the water crossings in the beginning was fun but staged? Not in a bad way. Love the content.
Not sure what you mean by staged.
I looked for the link to go explore USA. You said in the description. Must be not so apparent on iPhone? Should be able to find easily is the story I'm telling myself. But then again I am ignorant to where the links are
Any plans to make the trip to Alaska or into Mexico etc?
One of these days for sure!!
This is the only thing that turns me off about the idea of overlanding in the ozarks. I feel like I would need a snorkel with the amount of pretty deep water crossings.
It’s highly recommended in the spring.
Is it possible to get the Gaia file for this trip? It looks like an amazing intro to the Ozarks. There's a group of us from central Florida that have wanted to check the area out. Thanks for another great video!
Look up Ozark Overland Adventure Trail. It's a 5 day route through the Ozarks. The route file is in the video descriptions.
@Ozark Overland Adventures excellent. Thank you! Keep up the amazing work.
sorry bro, I want to ask whether the hood ventilation hole is safe for a car engine when crossing a fairly deep river. Is the hood ventilation hole safe, bro, please reply bro
I hope you are always healthy and other extreme offroad videos like walking in shallow rivers when it is raining
The hood vents are just for looks. Water doesn’t get through them.
What do you guys use for 2 way coms/radio?
Midland GMRS radios

man I need to come in Ozark. would you be able to plan something like on Aug/Sep for people by your choice and leave msg's on youtube. Im in VA so it's hike for me.
Any relation to Johnny bravo?
Very original. 😂🤦🏼♂️
You said you loved your old tent, Why would you change.
It’s weird how little justice that camera do for inclines and declines. Sometimes it looks like yall are on flat surfaces and your tire comes off the ground.

I’m probably wrong but first time I saw those rock walls I assumed it was something to do with the civil war 🤷🏻♂️
👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍🤔🤔
Why do you color your hair that way
Cuz it’s fun.
have to say that rain fly design is terrible, I have a wedge style so i get the downfalls of that style. Just need to save my pennies for the alucab canopy camper, delete that tailgate!
I think the comment you made about your pop up tent is better could have been phrase or worded better. Be humble bro!
The land rovers have to travel in pairs, that way when one breaks down they can still get home. 😂🫣
