I didn't understand that one part with Becky. Maybe the video maker mistranslated or like with a lot of recaps, they skip over a lot of things, but Becky saw the flower bloom THEN decided that Mark was crazy? She tried the flower spell with a single drop of water expecting it to bloom. Tried to open a magic door with other classmates, saw nothing happened, went home, literally saw the flower come to life, THEN concluded that Mark was crazy and told her father? Something is obviously wrong with her too. And when Mark was practicing his teleporting, narrator says he kissed Becky, but that scene was completely skipped over and not mentioned???
What I don't understand is, Becky saw the flower bloom then concluded that Mark was fully crazy and told her father??? She did all the other crazy crap with classmates then finally saw proof THEN went to tell her father? What?
Same videos on repeat just slightly different outcome: Dude goes to Mars only to find he wasn't the first. Guy goes to Pluto only to discover he was not the first.

Stephen King wrote his 8 books about the dark tower from 1882 to 2004. The book this series is based on is called "Der Greif" (The Griffin) by Wolfgang and Heike Hohlbein (2 German authors) from 1989. (from the character names to the choice of weapons... It's "Der Greif") The siblings Hohlbein have a lot of very famous works. so they don't need to ripoff anything. It's probably coincidence. also Der Greif is more Magic and fantasy while the dark tower is more western, evil ancient science, sometimes even science fiction and stuff. so they're not very alike If you have the whole story and not only the beginning like this video

is this based on stephen king's novel series, black tower which was also made as a movie. it looks similar. the only difference is this series does not have a gunslinger protecting the young teleporter.
Feels like a lot of plot is lifted from The Talisman, a book related to the The Dark Tower universe that Peter Strauss and Stephen King co-wrote years before Kind started the Dark Tower series.
This sounded interesting at first... but quickly evolved into a bunch of random trash non-sense. This is one of those types of stories that takes the idea of world building and originality too far. It focuses too much on just using random imagination to fuel ideas, to the point that its just an assault of annoying non-sense. Like the author thinks they are being creative coming up with these ideas, but in reality... they are just creating a bunch of hard to follow elements, making it a chore to understand, and putting raw ideas over refined quality, design and story-telling. I'll thank them though. From this, I learned a little more about how NOT TO write stories!
is the over use of 'mystery boxes' that plagues this type of script, they don't want just one mystery , but many 'secrets' and then they see what sticks, and go with it..

@@hydranummer1 I know Hohlbein's work. He used to be a crazy prolific author, churning out book after book for a long time. I am a member on a German forum dedicated to audio books and audio plays and I remember how about 10 years ago there was a time when it felt like there was a new Hohlbein audio book every week or so. It was crazy. I'm actually surprised they seemingly never turned any of his books into movies or shows before, as far as I know. There were some good stories among them, but also a lot of trash. My personal favorite is a standalone novel called "Intruder" about a group of 3 German tourists doing a motorcycle tour through the USA and running into a native American Wendingo demon that then chases them through half the USA. This is what happens when non-bearded people make movies, it's a travesty really
